Located on Highway 80/27 and 2.5 miles west of Lake Okeechobee, this Clewiston hotel features an outdoor pool and whirlpool. The rooms and lobby are decorated in bright, bold colors.

No Air on arrival, had made prior reservation. Refrigerator was not turned on. Lights in rooms very poor. Bath door in way unless closed. Receptionist was in no way friendly and could have cared less. Hotel bar and restaurant was closed and the breakfast that was promised was out of a convenience mart and packaged. The coffee was luke warm and not in room. I requested on my reservation that they have room service or a coffee pot in the room. No answer. The halls and lobby was way too hot, air obviously turned down for power savings.
Very quaint hotel. Great place.
The town is very slow in the summer. For any entertainment try the Tiki Bar.
Nothing. Absolutely Nothing.
The Clewistion Inn was horrible! It does not have an elevator to go access the floors. The place was mobbed and crowded with excessive people in the lobby and main room. There was extreme, outrageous noise at the Check-In Desk due to thumping, loud, banging music playing in the main room across the lobby. It was difficult to speak with staff person at the desk due to outrageous thumping noise of music the main room. The Inn does not have staff for carrying luggage to a room. You have to find the "janitor" to carry bags to a room. When inside a room upstairs, you can hear and feel vibrations from the loud music and screaming people downstairs. There were many children unsupervised and allowed to run and scream through the corridors upstairs and throughout the lobby. The hallway door upstairs leading to the outside stairwell was open with a brick propped in the doorway which enabled any outsiders to have free access into the corridors and bedrooms. Security isn't available on the premises. There weren't lamps inside the room. Light source existed from the ceiling fixtures. Due to the experience was a nightmare from the initial check-in.process with the extreme loud thumping music, not able to even hear the staff at the front desk, children running and screaming in the halls and main lobby, the outside hallway door left ajar with a brick in the doorway, the crowded mob in the main room and lobby left us feeling very upset and fearful, which resulted with needing to leave immediately. We didn't even ask for a reimbursement for our money. We left Clewiston Inn and drove out of town and spent an additional hour and half to go to West Palm.
Quaint-looking building but in sore need of a power-wash; Comfortable bed; With a bit more effort to maintenace this would be a place I'd like to recommend but cannot do so
Quality of personnel -- assume poorly trained, management problem; Lack of adequate personnel to address advertized services; Overall cleanliness of all exterior and interior spaces was suspect, especially the rooms -- in Room 120, the repainted bathtub had a very large patch pealed back, the toilet had not been cleaned (ring around the collar); The "Continental Breakfast" did not exist; and so on ....
Location is good.
Hot water ran red for quite a few minutes, never did get clear. Wifi in apartments in rear does not reach/work (tried 4 devices - connects, but loses it and only from the front room). Since restruant is closed breakfast is a joke.
Old world Charm
Continental breakfast was exceptionally poor
Reception staff very welcoming.
Complimentary breakfast was very poor. No cereal, a couple of muffins and a tasteless red over ripe apple. This may just be temporary as there was a notice to the effect that the kitchen was closed for repair.
The view out our window was of the garbage dumpster which was a mess
It was neat clean beds were nicely made and comfortable. The rooms was nicely decorated too. Very friendly nice staff.
If you go in the Spring the cane sugar plant in town is making sugar and it makes the whole town smell horrible during the day.
The staff were very nice and helpful. Love the old hotel.
We had confirmed 2 suites .When we checked in there was only one reserved.Basically ruined our plans. They were fully booked no other rooms available. They did give us a discount .
City & Location fit our needs
Room very small to be considered a double queen. No lavatory in bathroom.
The room was magnifical
The kitchen was closed, and when I paid the breakfast was included, but we can't take it.
No restaurant Old television Weak wifi No printer Old room Small bathroom
Room unmade on arrival. Kitchen closed.
Cable TV was much better than the last time I visited (one year ago). Comfortable bed.
Disappointed that the kitchen was closed, so breakfast was minimal.
Lobby and inside public areas nice and lived up to historical expectations.
Room very cramped no place for luggage , inn listed as bed and breakfast the restaurant was permanantly closed when we arrived . Breafast consisted of packaged pasteties apples and coffee. Desk said website d hould have been changed oh well. I was disapointed cost too high for limited ammenities and declining facility. Not much to do area. No info at inn to offer suggestions.
Kitchen was out of use, nothing was said on check in, so in the morning no hot breakfast option available. Staff were not concerned by this upon questioning.
Historic. Beautiful lobby.
Kitchen closed. Sink should be in bathroom, not bedroom.
Hotel was beautifully decorated. Bed very comfortable.
Room was tiny. Windows didn't open. No information in room about hotel or surrounding area.
The kitchen was closed for repairs. The staff used obscene language in the lobby area with guests present. The room was crowded.
not much…..it was the only place we could get and that's about it It has a lot of history, but is sorely in need of renovation.
"bathroom" sink was next to the bed in sleeping area. Outlet next to the sink didn't operate. Breakfast was coffee and doughnuts. Staff was pleasant. It served it's purpose and at 9:00 in the evening, we took anything we could get, but never again.
Quiet surroundings and very comfortable bed.
Nowhere on web site did it tell you that the kitchen was closed. Was looking forward to special dinner in dining room with husband. Not to be.
There was a big dissapointment for us with the Inn. We got there and found that the kitchen wasn't open, there were no caddies to put our luggage on, the door at the end of our hall was very dirty with black marks all across the bottom, etc.
A sink in the bedroom? No lamp on one side of the bed. No clock. Had to move the power cord in order to use the microwave, everytime I went to the sink my husband had to get up out of the only chair in the room. There were no coat hangers in the closet? In other words we were extremely disappointed and the next morning when we went down for a continental breakfast when I asked the girl at the desk - she pointed - no words at all - at a basket with several apples and bananas and a few danishes and two pots of coffee nothing else. A I'm sorry but this is all we have for now would have been nice. When we put the key on the counter as we were leaving - no one was around to say Adios or get lost. A very poor experience and to tell you the truth we will not return nor recommend this Inn to anyone.
few guests, dining room closed permanently, bar not open on Sundays, grounds littered with trash.
