Location as an overnight stop. Food was very good.
Isolated location, empty beaches to walk, great place to read and relax, watch all the sea life go by, food was excellent and was very reasonable for lunch. Bike trail access, surfing. Room price for mid week was excellent.
1.The building could use some upgrading. 2.My wife and I are early risers and like to have our coffee by 5:30 to 6am, unfortunately coffee is not available till 7:15am or after....nowhere else to get it close. Other than that minor inconvenience our stay was wonderful.
This was a great location. The view is amazing, the restaurant is very good. The staff was very helpful. We can't wait to come back.
The room was a bit small, but could have used more comfortable seating. It is an old building, but is kept up very well.
view was stunning! dining convenient staff was helpful & very polite
rooms could use some updating! cracks in sinks were a turnoff
I loved the location. Any time of day, there is a beautiful view. One of the top 5 meals of my lifetime. Can't wait to return.
No wifi No close by restaurant options No hotel beach access
The view was breathless - Quiet and the food-- oh my God -- Raynal the chef is fantastic! We had to meet him after eating every meal at the hotel for 5 days -- gourmet food at reasonable price -- he is a friendly wonderful human being as well as an incredibly outstanding chef!! Cannot wait to come back.
Wifi did not work in my room for 4 days - but they did fix it and it was not a bigee -- as I had my smartphone for any emergency emails. Everyone was so wonderful, Greg, the waiter at the restaurant and Billie Ray -- so friendly and service was perfect!
The location was beyond excellent. Don't expect a 5 star hotel, but the accomadations were adequate, the staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was outstanding. The beauty of this place is the ocean. If you want a complete getaway with nothing to do but totally relax and enjoy the view, this is the place. I will certainly return here next time I need to get away from it all and rewind.
I would have liked a coffee maker in the room so I could have my first cup of the day without having to get dressed and go downstairs. If you are a snacker I would reccomend bringing some with you as there is nowhere around to buy anything.
I first thought the hotel would be to close to the highway, but we didn´t hear to much from it. The frontside is just amazing. You have a very nice view on the pacific, very good breakfast in the garden, a nice pool, cosy rooms with nice furniture...It´s a very, very nice little hotel!!!!
It was difficult to find and very close to the highway. Its a pitty that the breakfast is not served on real procelain. There is no beach infront of the hotel, but we liked it anyway!
Great patio and restaurant
Took a long time to get hot water in the morning
Beds were very comfortable. Views were spectacular and other guest friendly.
There is NO air conditioning. Can't sleep while it is hot and having all windows open sometimes provided a breeze but can't sleep with the construction noise and light. They have "poor quality", unprotected Wi-Fi. Phone did not work because the building is old and wires are bad. Floors are slanted including the toilet.
The seaview The swimming pool The restaurant the staff
Slow wifi a little old fashion hotel, but clean
Big room. Looked out to ocean - could hear waves crash at night. Pool right by ocean. On lovely bay. Good restaurant on site. Great breakfast.
Because of road change, a little hard to find. Pool but no hot tub - still, 4 out of 5 stars - great value for the money.
Fantastic view, pool next to the sea, you could hear the sound of the waves, romantic little place just perfect
view spectacular. restaurant top notch
dresser in room was musty smelling .
The pool was very nice - clean and a good temp. The restaurant menu was limited but good, and the view is great. The seagulls are a pain, but the water guns made it fun to chastise them.
It's not exactly on the beach, and the way to the beach is not obvious. There was roadwork going on, so it was loud in the room. There's no fan or A/C in the rooms. It has super limited staffing, so you always have to wait to get anything - check-in/check-out/pool towels. Your only dining option is the onsite restaurant without a significant drive especially around dinner time traffic.
View. Comfy bed.
No air conditioning (wasn't really necessary but it was a little humid), and pool isn't heated. Restaurant and bar closes super early. If you are the first floor everyone passes by your room.
Terrific location overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Dinner exceeded expectations and al fresco dining experience was perfect. Will definitely return.
The location, right on the water's edge.
- The hotel is quite shabby and in desperate need of refurbishment. - When checking out after our one night stay we were accidentally charged $1333 instead of $133. We pointed this out and the credit card transaction was reversed and we were assured it would not go through. However when we got to our hotel in San Francisco later that day for a 4 night stay our card was declined due to the hold of $1333 still being on the card. This caused embarrassment and we ended up having to pay in cash as the problem was still not fixed by the following day.
Lovely hotel by the sea. Very comfortable. Great location for restaurant - continental breakfast only OK at best.
Location, location, location.
Pool was green, rooms were hot eventhough it was only 60 degrees at night and the construction went on all night from the highway.
Listening to the ocean and having clean air...was over cast but still loved it.
Having to struggle to find a way down to the beach. How about a walking path so at my age(66) I don't have to travel over rocks?
The view is wonderful. Staff very friendly and helpful.
