Very fast room service. Very attentive staff. Unfortunate that the bar has table service so you can't sit down in the main lounge. $50 parking fee is noticably high when the competition has $35 parking rates posted at their valet sections...Westin in particular. |

The Redwood Room and Lobby The rooms were very small and not very interesting. It's great and all that they offered a great rate through your website, but first they gave us a room that opened to a brick wall and shook and was very loud because of it being located on the wall of the service elevators. They then moved us to another room that was again teeny tiny and had a weird smell with the most uncomfortable beds in the world. We checked out and stayed @ the Marriot Marquis and had a great time and even spent $40 more a night, but were much happier! They treated us like kings as opposed to Paupers like the Clift. |

Fire alarm set off at 3am with smoke in hallways. After fire dept called, was told it was a false alarm. No ammendments made for getting us out of bed at 3am. |

It's a beautiful hotel, the service was very good. The restaurant and bar are lovely. Were I to recommend it, though, it would be with some warnings (see below). There's essentially no place to put things away, aside from 2 small drawers tucked away in the closet. There was plenty of room for a tall chest of drawers in the rooms. Also, there were no drawers in the bathroom. It's definitely not suitable for an extended stay. Also, the parking fee is astronomical, as is the room service---my family members ordered one fruit plate, two bowls of granola, a pot of tea and two small glasses of orange juice and by the time the service fees and gratuity was added, the bill came to $77! That's just outrageous. It's also not necessary to charge $15/day for internet service or $11 for a liter of water. |

Location, Doorman, Food. The telephones in the rooms are very old fashioned. The charge for internet service in the business center is robbery. The internet is free and we all know it. |

Been there a few times and always enjoy returning to this downtown SF hotel located within walking distance to Union Square. It's a hip design hotel offering good value for the money. The hotel bar is usually very crowded at night and fun to hang out and mingle with the local party crowd. |

The hotel is in a great position, the rooms are well presented (the bathrooms are very small!!!) and the mood is of a designer hotel There were only 2 things that I did not like about this hotel. 1. The bathroom was so small and 2. How they have the face to have a litre of water in your room that costs $11.00 is a complete joke, this really pissed me off |

The downtown location was ideal, the check-in and check-out process was seamless, the room was well appointed. We didn't dine there, so not able to comment on those facilities. Should have a workout facility. |

Good decoration, nice furniture. Excellent location and service. A little bit dark in the lobby area, but that's just a detail. Pillows too thick but thats a problem in many hotels |

loved it - lovely hotel. shame about the homeless people outside in the area could have been better with a mini spa - or whirlpool. |
