Bed bug bites on guests
Good location and overall nice room
The only problem my friends and I had was during dinner at the downstairs bar and lounge area. My friend had expressly told the cocktail server she was allergic to mushrooms... and when they brought the hamburger she had ordered it was covered in them. The waitress and manager quickly apologized, but we had to wait a while for them to remake the order when this could have been avoided in the first place.
The decor is beautiful and I got such a good deal via Booking.com. Had a great time.
The room is in need of some upgrade. I'm sure the place gets heavy traffic and after a while it shows. Would have liked lobby coffee etc for purchase at breakfast. Had to make runs to starbucks daily.
Location was easy to many activities. Room size was large for SF, could have easily been set up with some chairs, table for extra enjoyment.
Valet was terrible
I think to have to pay extra for wifi in 2015 is ridiculous. The bed was a little too soft for my taste.
We were upgraded from a double double bed to a large suite. Although a little outdated, the room was very comfortable and because of the upgrade, good value for our money. The position is very good for visiting SF, and the staff was very helpful.
Dirty & tired rooms. Mirror had large crack in it, carpet had rips in it. Tile in bathroom cracked and moldy. Room looks like it was put together with a 200.00 budget from ikea
Location, redwood room
wifi, too many added extra costs
rooms, staff, ambiente
Location is handy for shopping but not a very nice area really - so many homeless people unfortunately and a bit of a dirty area
My room was very plain..
I liked the setting right when you walk in. Greeted by polite people and a cool ambiance.
Saturday night we had to buy a $400 bottle of alcohol to get a booth.
We were able to walk everywhere we went. Bar crowd was fun...upbeat! Lobby was never over crowded...room was somewhat a mini suite...comfy. Starbucks across the street for the AM boost. Price was just right for our stay at the Morgan.
Nice atmosphere and clean
Location, convenience and room size.
Not recommended for rest and relaxation. Several all night parties in adjacent rooms. Front desk not very effective at dealing with the situation duty mgr offered free breakfast as compensation but same occurred following night (same room, different crowd ). If sleep not a priority, would recommend.
Very nice atmosphere, nice lounge and bar concierge offered good dining recommendations.
The fact that we had to leave after an incredible stay
The hotel was fabolous in every sense. The staff couldn't have been more helpful with directions, recommendations and making us feel so welcome and special. Can't wait to come back and will stay here again!!!
Homeless people in the vicinity. Not just one or two, but lots of them!
Decent size room, great bedding, breakfast was also good (a la carte)
stains on sofa and floor
concierge was excellent
Some rooms can be on the noisy side...but you are in the heart of San Francisco
Location, lovely junior suite, huge bathroom and shower, trendy bar and very good staff
Limited vegan options for breakfast. The buffet is expensive when you just have fresh fruit, cereal and almond milk. There should be a reduced price or set vegan option on the a la carte menu. The gym is very small and busy - at least between 6-7am - not enough running machines. If you want a proper workout without people waiting for you to get off the machine I would suggest going elsewhere. Apparently there is proper gym at a different hotel which you can pay to use - and they have a pool. My only real annoyance was that the bill was charged to the wrong card. I gave a different card to hold the room (due to my visa not swiping for some reason) and made it clear that I wanted to pay with the visa on check-out. When I went to check out, I was told that the payment had already gone through without me seeing the final bill. Frustrating, as now I need to take care of reimbursement via my company - and who needs more financial administration to deal with. Not a nice ending to an enjoyable stay.
The lobby area - complete with a roaring fire - was a cosy place to wait for friends and check email. The bar is great with friendly barmen and a potent martini. Lovely beds with amazing white cotton sheets and plenty of fluffy pillows. The hotel itself is lovely - just be careful walking around alone in the area at night (especially women).
They have this amazing bar, but if you are 50+ and married it was crowded, loud, and everyone is standing up listening to pretty horrible Techno music! Such a disappointment! I love many genres of music, but don't get this music at all!
They were pretty late checking us in and while we were disappointed, they made up for it by giving us a cocktail and upgrading our room. I loved our room and the staff was very professional, friendly, and caring.
There was only one person at the front desk and it took approx. 30 minutes wait at check out. There were 2 attendants at the Consierrge who ignored the long line at the front desk.
Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
I liked the decor.
The bathroom is too small and crowded.
My room on the left corner is spacious but next to a lift so it's quite noisy. On the 16th floor water in the shower seems weaker. The free wifi somehow doesn't work on my phone so i have to call the tech support center every day during my 5 day stay.
Design of the hotel is still pretty chic and well maintained. Helpful staff.
Lunch ends at 1pm! No service at the bar during the day to have coffee or a drink. Impossible to set up a business meeting in the hotel during a large event.
Awesome location, excellent service, nice and comfortable hotel.
