Location, staff

Rooms are quite small and very warm. HVAC was still on heat, and we were on an upper level floor, which never really cooled to a comfort level. Room size is cramped. We paid $20 to upgrade and it was still a very small room. Should change the name to "Cramped Quarters". But since we didn't stay in the room very much, overall enjoyed the stay in the Windy City, and the location can't be beat.

Loved the free water bottles and the staff was excellent

The room was very clean and everything worked properly. The furniture design of the room was very modern. There was free WiFi, free coffee and water everyday. The room had a nice flatscreen T.V. even though we did not use it. It's a nice place to stay for only a few days unless you have the money. The lobby is attached to a restaurant which you can pay along with your room bill, if you want. Next door there was a Starbucks which is perfect for the mornings. It was very secure and safe, you need to use your room key for the elevator. I would go back again.

Breakfast was not included. The restaurant food made me sick to my stomach, but I'm not sure if I ate something I was allergic to or not. Booking.com did not specify where the parking was or how it worked so I had to park at a nearby public parking which was $50 for 24 hours, probably more than the hotel parking.

Our expectations were exceeded. I would recommend this hotel highly.

The location was great. THe rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly.

It's my first stay at a Club Quarters, and I got exactly what I had expected. Staff was friendly and my room was adequately sized: just as big as I needed. Bathroom was clean and spacious. With the walk-in showers, self check-ins and check-outs, office facilities and rooms that can be converted into a mini-office, the hotel's overall concept definitely appeals to the young business traveler. Even the furnishing in the rooms gives that "young business person" feeling. The pub downstairs, Elephant & Castle, is also great, so be sure to dine there at least once. And the location: 10 minutes of a walk from the Cloud Gate and the Skydeck (old Sears Tower). Overall, I was very, very pleased.

The lobby is too small and due to the rush the guests appear to be in, can sometimes be left dirty. The thermostat in the room did not appear to be picking up the temperature in the room right, so I was never really getting warm. The isolation on windows were also a bit bad.

Generally it was a nice place. For the money it can't be beat for a room in the city.

The rooms are somewhat small and the noise does carry between the walls. There was also a slight smell of smoke in the room.

It was within walking distance to Train Station. It was clean and updated. The staff was friendly. Checking in and out was a snap without long waits. I would definitely book there again.

My employer had a membership in Club Quarters about a decade ago when we had a longterm project in NYC. I did not have the opporutnity to take advantage of the membership at the time and it has since expired, but I vivisted the sebsite occasionally and found the NYC and other US vencues were both conventiently located and very well appointed. Now some yeaars later when I have the time to travel I discovered that CQ had a downtown (Loop) hotel and when I went online to book an overnight room in town CQ was uncomparably located for an about-town walker. I booked on line (unfortunattely not through CQ's own site), but nonetheless the reservation was as promised. My employer had a CQ company membership moe than a decade ago when we had a large project in NYC. I didn't have the opportunity to stay at CQ at the time, but visited the webiste and liked the accommodations. Now that I've retired and am able to travel, I've taken a cross-country trip by Amtrak and need center-city hotel close to train stations. CQ in the Loop was very convenient to the Cnhicago Union Station and the many other downtown attractions, so it was a natural. And at $99 for what are to me luxury accommodations, CQ is a great value. At checkin the night manager? graciously ushered me through checkin at the looby terminal and described the in-hotel restaurant (Elephant & Castle). He also volunterred to reconnoiter a Mediterranean restaurant for my evening meal. However, by the time I settled in and got cleaned up for dinner it was so late that I took advantage of the hotel restaurant. The menu waw both somehwat adventurous and reasonably priced, and there also a good IPA on tap. After eating and drinking to my contentment, I fell into the wonderfully comfortable double bed and had a great night's rest. The following day, I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel until after 6:00 when I retrieved it and was off to catch the Amtrak train for the next leg of my trip. CQ, the Loop is a great hotel. I'm only sorry that there are more great CQ hotels like it in more Us cities. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The agent on the front counter can only answer no or I don't know. I can recommend it to other people if they have no other choice and should be prepared for something.

Hotel is good value for the money....

Very very bad cell service in room 1044 and when I travel I need my cell. Decided to move downstairs to try and help the situation, no better. I was plastered against the window but still no luck. After hours of trying to make a call I went down the street to the jw Mariott and had excellent cell service, drinks, surroundings, and it was great. Will stay there next time even though it is a little more expensive.
