Club Quarters in Houston    

Bistro restaurant was very handy for me, eat there four times. Also, the bottled water is an excellent bonus.

All was good.

Downtown. Self check-in was very convenient.

The area is not very pedestrian friendly. The lobby feels extremely cramped and maybe ill conceived.

Classic heart of downtown hotel. Awesome staff on all levels. Reasonable valet parking. Friendly bistro located in lobby. Nice open area for casual meeting in lobby. Reasonably quiet. Easy Internet connection ( no corporate portal crap) . Easy access to light rail direct to Reliant Center

Heart of downtown Houston is a bit left behind. Most of the action is out on Galleria Westheimer and Energy Corridor so choices for restaurants and local bars is limited. Not sure how safe the streets are.. No problems for me but the lack of action makes you feel vulnerable walking around.

By income the staff at front desk was not friendly.

Great Location for the Ballpark. Friendly atmosphere and some nice touches of hospitality.

They had free refillable bottles of water on each floor. It was very quiet because if we have noisy neighbors upstairs they usually stomp around and I can't sleep. My girl friend and I had the small double. Plenty of room for two and the Hobby Center where we were going to see Jersey Boys was directly West of the hotel and very easy to get to.

They don't have a swimming pool which I enjoy. The valet parking is nice but it was $20 for it with the tips for bring the car over we spent another $10.

The price I booked was $322, when I arrived it increased to $367 and once the fees were attached it came to over $400. This was very misleading.

The staff were helpful, free wifi and accessible facilities, great location and great price. Relaxing lounge, would certainly stay there again.

The room was clean and very quiet.

We arrived late, close to 10pm, and the restaurant was sadly closed already by this time.

Your green initiatives - refill bottles on certain floors, turning the A/C off when not there, not washing towels and sheets daily when staying multiple days. I liked that you provided snacks and drinks.

Very small rooms for the price charged. There is Valet only parking and it is an extra charge that is not mentioned at any point in time before you arrive to check in.

Where to start. Houston was experiencing a cold front, and I woke up around 2-3 am and the room was freezing. So I turned on the heater - but it was non functional - as in absolutely no heat. So my wife, daughter and I put on sweatshirts and managed to make it through the night. Then I woke up and was more than excited to take a hot shower... You guessed it, the shower didn't work. The shower/bath diverter was not functioning correctly and it only allowed the bath spout to function. To make matters worse (by several orders of magnitude) the hotel staff was unwilling to credit my bill for providing a room that clearly was not habitable. Instead, the front desk staff told me they were not authorized to credit a bill for any reason or any amount, and the "boss" was on vacation and could not be reached. Nice. Yes. It ticked my off that the heat and the shower did not work, but absolutely infuriated me that nothing was done to even attempt to compensate me. Beware. Poor facilities. Poor customer service.

Because I'm a member of Clubcorp, we were upgraded to what appeared to be a suite, which was a very nice room. Staff was very accomodating and helpful, particularly since this was New Year's Eve and they were very busy.

The bed was so hard that neither my wife nor I slept very well.

The service was excellent, and as a solo female traveller Nicole and Jordan did all they could to assist and make sure that my short stay was enjoyable. The bed was so comfortable, and the location perfect for the theatre, restaurants and sports arena. Loved the added touches of fresh fruit, snacks and beverages that were available free to guests on the lounge area.Would highly recommend, and would use again. Excellent value for a hotel with boutique touches.
