Breakfast, room layout
Old gray towels, underconstruction
The bed was very nice and the tv was ok.
The bath tub and the sink had no drain stopper. We did not use the bath tub.We pulled off our rings when we use the sink.
Breakfast early, but not long enough at least until 11:00am as others. Still needing repairs on rooms such as closets, also adequate towels replace for guests but still tolerable for short stays.
Very nice place to stay with a friendly staff. It was perfect for us for the convenience of location and price alone. It is a little outdated as the bathroom would get stuck. No biggie though. We are in our 40's and it may not be a 4 star hotel but it was worth it for what we wanted and needed
Bathroom door kept getting stuck
Close to convention we attended.
A/C worked sporadically, usually not at all. Because of this, beds felt wet the whole stay. Staff was unfriendly and menacing. Gap in door/door frame big enough to put your fingers through. Stained carpet. Moldy shower curtain. Room window was open when we checked in. "Free breakfast" was empty by 8am, never refilled. Neighbors were VERY loud each night. Vending machines were empty whole stay. When doing final check of room before leaving, found bedbugs in bed. That explains the bite marks all over our bodies. Management refused refund because we didn't complain. Bedbugs alone warrants a full refund, much less all of the other problems. I know this isn't a 5 star hotel, but basics must be met. My suggestion is to book at Red Roof across the street.
Close to many dining and attractions
Room carpet was dirty
The location, for the reason we stayed was great. I would stay at this location again
The check in and check out staff were very friendly, quick with processing and both knew the area well. They were also very approachable. Mary is a very good front desk person. The parking is readily accessible and the location is within a reasonable distance from the major highways, stores and food places.
The breakfast area needs another waffle station. We had the displeasure of having to endure very noisy neighbors with no attempts from the staff to calm them down. They made a lot of noise until very late into the night. At breakfast, they hogged the waffle station, cleared out every doughnut that was put out and the seating is very limited.
The beds were beds, that's the only thing I can come up with.
Cigarette ashes in bed, huge spider greeting us in the corner of the room, the shower curtains had mildew on them, the coffee pot heater had something growing on it, the lights kept going out in the bathroom, huge stain on the wall which looked like a dead cockroach, no door on the refrigerator, continental breakfast was a joke and unsanitary, etc. Really, I could go on for hours.
bathtub drain was semi-clogged so my shower was taken standing in 3" of water, and the faucet for the bathroom sink leaked.
The staff was helpful
One the breakfast sucked they never had much of were out of stuff then we had a couple in the room next to us smoking pot and it was stinking up our room they finally did something about them.. We had dirty towels that were wet the toleit kept getting clogged
I requested a smoke free room and the room smelled of smoke. There was cigarette bud on the side of my bed. They overcharged me on my bill to my credit card.
My group enjoyed their stay!!!!
The bathtub had a leaky faucet and one of the electrical outlets was half covered.
Two rooms were in two separate floors One of the rooms was already occupied so we had the greatest embarassment of our lives when we opened the door and there was someone in bed! The carpet was not properly vacuumed it felt itchy! The electrical outlet was hanging off the wall. The toilet seat fell off and I almost went straight to the toilet! The ceiling exhaust fan in the bathroom was dripping so if you sat on the commode, you got a free shower at the same time. Free breakfast was a joke - they served these bananas, it's been over 48 hours it is still green and unripe! I'm keeping as a reminder of our D Day at the Coliseum. I asked for a different room and they said there was no other room ! Then on checkout i was told "we'll give you a discount next time" - are you serious? Who wants to use you again?
Convenience. Staff very professional and courteous
General overview of the hotel seems nice until you look deeper. Rooms not properly vacuumed, bathrooms not properly cleaned, Stains in chairs, bathroom fixture not secure to the walls, doors wouldn't close flush.
Missed having protein for breakfast!
Staff was wonderful, friendly, helpful, and sincere. Room was extremely clean, as was the lobby and pool.
The Coliseum Inn was at one point a Comfort Inn, according to all the Comfort Inn logos we found scattered throughout our room. Clearly, they were under construction, and for that reason I wished we had gotten a better price. The sign just went up that it is now a Best Western, which is something I wish I had known when I saw the name.
On the cheaper side. Air conditioner worked and hot hot water.
You get what you pay for. Sketchy exterior and rooms. Stained carpet that wasn't vacuumed. Bathroom was appalling. The whole situation was uncomfortable. Single women travelers or women traveling in pairs may not feel comfortable here.
The staff was very nice! The cost was great!!!
Wi-fi was very slow and the breakfast didn't have enough food at times!
Staff was pleasant and bed was comfortable. No complaints about the temperature of the room or the water pressure in the shower. Price drew me in despite the mixed reviews.
Sofa in rooms were stained and gross looking. Walked in first room, bed unmade and covers on floor. Second room was slightly better on the surface. Comforter looked stained when pulled back. Found a single hair on the sheets when checking the rest of the bed. Nightstand drawer had empty spray bottle of perfume in it. In short, I wouldn't go back, no telling what kind of other corners are being cut with the cleaning.
Nice decor & price
Room had a roach in it. Floor had a broken window in hallway & no operating ice or drink machine on floor. Ice box not clean
the bed was comfortable the bathroom was clean the breakfast was nice loved the staff that made my visit great
Location is great!
Good price & good comfort. Would definitely stay there again.
