Loved the old English feel, the pub downstairs was great and the beds were super comfy. It was actually quite quiet!

Wish they had had robes In every room for the walk back from the shower. Our first room did but second didn't.

The location is just beside the uw campus.

The front desk does not operate from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm so you stand outside in windy seattle in winter for 2 hours waiting for check-in.

it closes at 11.00 and opens at 15.00 - so if arriving a bit earlier, you need to wait outside.

The rooms are beautiful- simply designed, classy, warm, and comfortable- I felt like I was in considerably more expensive hotel. The location is great- in the University District and close to buses. I had worried that since the bathrooms are shared, there might be lines to use them, but this wasn't a problem at all.

There were a few minor cleaning/maintenance issues. (The room was clean enough for me, but could have used a slightly better vacuuming, control knob had detached from electric heater, soap dispenser in the shower had come unstuck from the wall).

Excellent value for money. The staff is very friendly and gives accurate answers to your questions. A good breakfast. Excellent location for someone who arrives at UW ! The restaurant downstairs is one of the best of the university Way avenue and the pub is nice too. So it is also a place where you can meet people.

All is great for the price.

I stayed in room 309 and the heater was broke and bedspread had stains on it.

No heating, uggly room, far from Downtown, wifi nearly working, awful.

The check in close at 11, if you arrive before 3 you will be sitting on the street, even if it's raining

I loved the European style just really neat to see and experience. I liked the no TV in the rooms, so quiet, like a real rest in a different time! Just neat.

The only thing was the comforter in our room had something gross on it from the previous sleepers... but we brought our own sheets pillow cases and a comforter so we just threw everything to the floor and used our own.

Breakfast was not served on two of the mornings of our stay and our reservation was not on their list when we arrived. Thankfully they still had two rooms available.

Bathroom They have to build from every room bathroom ( cause its not good to share bathroom) They must respect our religions some people they aren't allowed to share bathroom so you have to care about that The second thing is the Internet you must have high speed like 10 gb at less The last thing is the service for our phones is really poor so you have to find solutions. One more thing about microwave. Really what can I do with small speaker make party are you serious guys

Located very close to University o Washington, near bus intersection to go almost anywhere.

Extremely mixed feelings about this place! Excellent location in terms of the cosy, friendly feeling you get on a campus. Very comfortable, safe and relaxed atmosphere as it is away from the Downtown area. Also, the nearby restaurants and cafes have a nice atmosphere and serve pretty good and affordable food. There is also an excellent used book store that has some literary gems and a nice park to relax. So, a good place to stay if you like such things. Oh, and affordable too. The furniture isn't new but housekeeping is clean.

First of all - there are no elevators. Rooms are on 2nd and 3rd floor. Prepare to haul your luggage. Second- do note that bathrooms are communal. Third - Erm, I found the room to be spooky. I had a single room which was huge! The old furniture did not help. To be clear, I did not see or hear anything in my 3 night stay. However, if you are afraid of such things, I would not recommend this hotel.

The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was plentiful (though not early enough for my second day) and the location was great on a quiet street next to the beginning of the Ave. Easy to get downtown by bus. Compared to staying right downtown in a high-priced hotel, it was more than ok.

It was a bit noisy with some sort of machine thing cycling outside my window but with earplugs it was ok. I also didn't have a bedside lamp in the first room (I was told upon checking in I'd be in different rooms during my stay) and the blinds didn't really keep out the light. The second room was much nicer.

Overall, a nice stay. A bit warm and stuffy. Very warm and friendly front desk staff who checked us in.

I knew from previous reviews the reception desk was on the fourth floor and there was no elevator. As an older woman with a bad knee, this was a bit difficult to manage. However, the price was right; the room: spare but comfortable; the staff: friendly and helpful; the breakfast: adequate; public transportation: close and frequent. I would stay here again, even though it is a ways from downtown Seattle and I had no business with the U of W.

How odd to have the reception desk on the top floor with no elevator. I understand this is rather an historic building and the vestibule is quite small. Makes me wonder if this was always a hotel; seems more like a college dorm or frat house in previous lives!

Relatively inexpensive. Quiet. Bed was comfortable.

Staff present did not have helpful attitude. Was confused and not helpful when I asked about problem turning on lights in room. Breakfast included, but when I arrived there were no clean cups and no coffee ready; staff member seemed put out by my asking for these things rather than friendly. Billed as "European-style" hotel, but hospitality is 10,000 times better in Europe. Wasn't someone competent on duty, no one there after hours. No elevator, and office is on 4th floor for checking in. Recommend only for price.

Super nice rooms, loved the staff and awesome location! (within a mile of Gasworks park) Lots of shopping an dining near by because of the university. Also right next to the bus route.

Only thing was squeeky floors, and shared bathroom. Neither would stop us from staying again.
