Convenient location; accessible to restaurants, book stores, university, many local sights. Very clean and private.
Occasional disruptive guest, slight odor from nearby restaurant
Loved the area, the room and the style of the place!
occasional noise outside from skateboarders when we were trying to sleep but that's not really the Inn's fault! Breakfast could have had a little more variety.
Location near university and public transport, size of room, household staff pleasant and caring. Loved the furniture! Very good mattress and bedding (being able to take one blanket off in the hot weather was a bonus).
A little disorganised around breakfast time, i.e. no plates ready or run out of coffee. Lighting could be better for reading in bed.
Large room, good bed, great location
Only one shower working in men's bathroom which made for a bit of a traffic jam.
Close to UW campus Quiet Breakfast ok
The first room I was in smelled horribly of Chinese restaurant! The window was just above the kitchen ventilation.. It's absurd they make you pay for such a room. Furniture is old and useless
carry luggage up stairs
Very clean room. Liked the antiques. Quiet. Lots of places to eat nearby.
Communal bathroom had a shower door that wouldn't stay closed. Someone had tried to fix it with scotch tape!
location (for UW campus) comfortable bed quite clean
one of the rooms I stayed in smelled really badly: the window was just above the ventilation of a restaurant kitchen. Even with the window closed the smell was unbearable. Got to your towels, to your clothes, to your bag. They shouldn't propose a room like this!
Breakfast is good. Near University of Washington, good location price is good
too noisy at night...why didn't anyone ever mention there's a pub downstairs? Drunk people talk and laugh loudly till 2-3a.m. without any consideration for others!!! Can't have a good night's sleep at night! :(((
Value for money. Good location. Lots of restaurants for food selection.
Reasonably good room.
Broken light, poor communication when I checked in regarding where to check out and where breakfast was.
Nice staff, room service, safe area
convenience and price compared to others in area
you get what you pay for
- comfortable beds - good breakfast - great location - friendly staff
The people doing the cleaning were great.
I had to thumb tack a sheet to the cover the window, which had no covering.
lumpy, sloping, uncomfortable mattress; poor-fair cleanliness
Nice breakfast choices for cold style breakfast. Decent sized rooms for the money. Friendly staff, good location.
No TV in room
I love the quaintness of the place, and the bed was comfy, which is important for me. Breakfast was hearty - breads of various kinds, cereal, yogurt and one can pick up fruit and cereal bars throughout the day on level 4 which was awesome. I read reviews here prior to booking and knew what to expect and College Inn pretty much met it. The staff were fantastic and very helpful too and I also appreciated that a lot.
The only thing I had concern about was bathroom security. I've stayed in hostels before and some require keys for entry which might be something I'd suggest to College Inn for future implementations. There was an unfortunate security lapse during one of the nights I stayed there - a woman (she wasn't a guest) was bathing in the shower for few hours and she was staying in the bathroom all night. It was a bit freaky to see her in the middle of the night when I went to use the bathroom.
The room was very comfortable and cute. The beds were lovely and comfortable.
No elevator, but it wasn't that big of a deal, I would stay there again!
Easy transport from town, one transfer from the airport (using the light rail into town, transfer to bus at international district). In university district, had a university feel. Felt safe, good location for morning jog - special pedestrian track near university. Helpful staff. Great city.
Showers were a bit weird - frosted clear door with no real cubicle. No elevator
Beds were good
Not open when arrived with luggage had to wait till 3pm
Had too late of time for check in
