All the city has to offer is right here. Insane good transit location, plenty of great food and bars in walking distance, great pub downstairs, very comfortable room. Shared bathrooms are clean.
Front desk staff kinda sucked.
Free apples in the lobby :D
With respect to other facilities it was clean.
1. Very old (not only building but also everything) 2.bathroom - poor 3 complementary breakfast - so called
It''s a good stay in general. Great location, friendly staff, clean room. Two problems: one is that the hotel only has public restroom and showers, that's bearble and understandable as it is an old hotel, but the other one is kind of annoying: no parking lot. You have to use the expensive(2.75 per hour) and inconvinient (Parkin time is 2 hrs maximum). Other than that it would be a pleasant stay.
a beautiful historic building
no toilet in the room
I love this place been there twice. no complaints from me. I will be back my son and family live in seattle. thank you for the comforts of home!
Big comfy beds Nice pub above Good Wifi Quiet
Huge smell of anti-moth (doesn't sound engaging) from lobby to the room Bathrooms & restrooms outside the bedroom Very old style Awkward positions of the beds in the room No free car park Very poor quality continental breakfast: mushy fruits, old cereals. Why continental?? We're in the US!! 6km from city center
Location is great, room is great
Wifi was hard to conect to, no bathroom with room
Beautiful place. Felt like we were in Europe
Easy check-in, was able to swap for a better room at short notice, quiet streetside room
Confusing to find front office (it was in the shop next door with no notice or sign)
the cleanliness of the hotel was really good
everything except cleanliness
The room was tiny and you only had a shared bathroom. The worst thing was though that I guess there were some bugs or something, since after sleeping the first night there I had plenty of bite marks all over my legs. It got worse after the second night, so I had to sleep fully clothed... I would not go there again.
A small hostel in the University District, well-maintained and convenient ...with comfortable rooms of different sizes in a historic building.
The stairs! No elevator for old people like me!!
I actually loved the age of the building ...gave it character!
The nearby pub made sleeping more difficult than usual - but not too much that sleep was impossible.
Great location and inexpensive compared to alternatives, nice staff, but a heads-up that it is a hostel with shared bathrooms for those that have not stayed in similar facilities before.
Since my last stay in Dec 2013 & Jan 2014, they've cut back on staff so now you NEVER see anyone in the building. At breakfast there was no staff to replenish the buffet so once it's gone it's gone. Another guest actually had to rummage around to find some tea. They used to have an office on the 3rd floor...alas no more. Check in & out is now managed by the staff of a shop next door and, though nice enough, don't seem to have a clue. So, if you can deal with having no staff to turn to in the event of something going wrong (like running out of food at breakfast) during your stay, College Inn is ok. Faulty bathrooms: bathrooms (one each for male & female per floor) are shared so must be properly maintained so as to ensure availability. One day, the single cubicle/stall in the men's on the 2nd floor was out of order and remained that way for some hours and so everyone had to hit the only surviving restroom on the 1st floor. Luckily, breakfast supplies had also run out, so no one had heavy bowel movements. Watch out: if the toilet paper runs out, it won't be replenished til the next day! Wireless is still flaky.
Staff was friendly, room was nice, shared bathroow was ok (no lines and clean). Nice area, next to university campus and an easy busride towards downtown.
Room did not smell, but rest of the hotel did. Breakfast was not satisfactory, little choice and fruit was often not so fresh anymore. Room was quite noisy.
- No value for money - Bad breakfast - Small rooms - Showers weren't clean
Convenient location; accessible to restaurants, book stores, university, many local sights. Very clean and private.
Occasional disruptive guest, slight odor from nearby restaurant
Loved the area, the room and the style of the place!
occasional noise outside from skateboarders when we were trying to sleep but that's not really the Inn's fault! Breakfast could have had a little more variety.
Location near university and public transport, size of room, household staff pleasant and caring. Loved the furniture! Very good mattress and bedding (being able to take one blanket off in the hot weather was a bonus).
A little disorganised around breakfast time, i.e. no plates ready or run out of coffee. Lighting could be better for reading in bed.
Excellent location, charming rooms, good wifi, some staff are friendly and helpful
Breakfast was frequently left unstocked by surly and disinterested undergrads (e.g. no silverware or plates out, bread not replaced when eaten by guests, etc). Also bathrobes are provided as the bathroom is shared (a nice touch) but never seemed to include the necessary sash and were removed and then not replaced by staff.
Large room, good bed, great location
Only one shower working in men's bathroom which made for a bit of a traffic jam.
Close to UW campus Quiet Breakfast ok
The first room I was in smelled horribly of Chinese restaurant! The window was just above the kitchen ventilation.. It's absurd they make you pay for such a room. Furniture is old and useless
