Initial room assignment was awful. Had to ask for better room even though i had paid for premium room.
Very clean, free wifi, The bed had very clean white linens and was ridiculously comfortable
Old tub, old shower fixtures, Old appearance in general at first glance make the motel appear dirty however it was not dirty at all.
Friendly staff, linens clean and beds comfortable.
Dingy hallways, floor not vacuumed, white spots all over the chair (hoping they were paint spatters...), furniture coming apart, no bedspread. Not unclean, just way overpriced. This is barely a one star motel.
A real bonus having the spa attached - pool, sauna, exercise machines Nice art on the walls Great price Comfortable bed
shower curtain had mold; curtains were frayed; air conditioner rattled, the rad and trim in the bathroom needed painting
up keep should b better
Location, inside pool and the restaurant was good.
Room 187 one blind was missing (Back of the room) and one blind was broken (Front of the room), dirty curtain in bathroom, TV picture was fuzzy. When I went to open the bedroom curtains (Backside or the room) the whole curtain rod with curtain fell down on top of me. 2 Towels is not enough.
the pool/hot tub were a redeeming factor
the décor needs to be updated. Detail in cleaning missing found cobwebs and the carpet hadn't been vacuumed. Not worth the amount of money paid. Check out staff was lousy.
Price was great Room was large and fairly clean No odours Redwood hot tub
Brown stains on bedding. Filthy, smudged windows. "Spa" locker room the smelled like a dairy barn. Unhappy front desk staff. Only two chairs on the shared balcony for the entire floor.
Bed was comfortable Had microwave and fridge A/C worked well
Room was shabby Poorly maintained room and property TV old/too small Breakfast very limited..no gluten free options
Restaurant was good.
Room was old looking and cheaply appointed.
nice campus, very quiet, decent accommodation
level of cleanliness was low. No closet or hook or hangers-- no place to hang clothes. Cracks and loose plumbing in bathroom make it hard to clean properly; carpeting also not very clean
It was very comfortable and housekeeping was good (even found lady cleaning exterior windowsills). They were doing some of the needed work while i was there. Its a good location for downtown or highway access, without being in town.
Hotel shows some age and needs a room touch-up. Found cobwebs n a spider in the room. Carpets need a good cleaning.
Family owned and friendly staff.
The room I stayed in had and a/c unit that did not work well. There was not screens on the windows so I used the a/c unit. In the morning it was colder outside than in my room. There was light bulbs that had burned out and not been replaced. There was a space for a mini fridge but no fridge. My toddlers loved playing in the hole, so maybe that's a plus. The shower curtain was moldy.
The rooms are far back from the road, so it is very quiet. Linens are clean and crisp, shower is superb. Motel is an unexpected pleasure amidst all the chain motels in the area, and without the big price tag of the B&Bs.
Nothing negative to say about this hotel!
Room was clean and comfortable.
Minor things like bath mat missing and HD TV
restaurant and bar onsite
bar closed at 9
The beds were very clean and really comfortable. It doesn't look like much from the parking lot, but the rooms are large, but this isn't a resort. For a night or two it's fine.
The pool area is interesting and it's salt water which makes it even more interesting. But they don't allow children under 18 to use the wooden hot tub or sauna. The pool also seems to be a community pool as swim lessons were in progress. Don't think it's a big deal unless you really wanted in the pool. The hot tub was nice, it's been decades since I've seen a wooden hot tub.
It was perfect! We will certainly come back.
The location was very convenient for us-- we were visiting friends in downtown Brattleboro and Putney and it's a 10 minute drive to either. The room was very clean and newly renovated. We enjoyed visiting the spa and we felt we were getting a very good value.
Nothing. We were very happy with our stay.
I like that I made a call they came right up and fix everything I was having and issue with well other then the overhead light
when I tried to turn the t.v. on the remote didn't work. Also the bathroom sink was leaking and there wasn't a lot of lamps in the room so the over head light was really bright.
The bed was very firm and the location was okay.
the windows and rooms were dusty/dirty and the tv was very old and a message kepted popping up and interrupting the programs.
Staff was very helpful in finding a room on lower level. Restaurant served a very good dinner and wait staff were very pleasant. Over all experience was good.Beds were very comfortable.
No chair in room for seating. Had to sit on beds. While room is under updating don't rent it. New paint choices were very evident since the heater was not completely done in the new color(s). Window treatments were not hemmed, they were cut to length and were unraveling. Window curtain rods were bent and didn't completely cover one of the windows until we bent them to allow the curtain to be completely drawn closed.
Stayed at Colonial because of its proximity to Mount Snow, without having to pay the Mount Snow prices. Was very happy to support a family-owned business and pleasantly surprised that they were on-par with the larger chains.
Can't say much comes to mind. Was a little surprised the restaurant attached to the motel was so expensive -- seemed a kind of stark contrast, but I don't necessarily think that's the motels fault.
