Score from 251 reviews Wonderful
Very spacious and excellent food in restaurant!
Beds were way too soft.
The staff was very friendly and seemed to care. Lots of very interesting history to be read about. Lots of photos and paintings to see. Wonderful old furniture to observe.
Some sort of sound could be heard throughout the night as if someone was moving furniture in a room adjacent to ours.
Having to leave
The history, the location
Our neighbor in the room next to us was smoking marijuana and it stunk
Historic atmosphere, beautiful grounds, ideal location
Tiny toilet/shower "closet", poor wifi
Location is great. Breakfast in restaurant was excellent. Bed is very comfortable.
No microwave, no fridge, no fan in the bathroom. On Saturday it was hard to find parking place. Sunday was better.
Loved the historic hotel and especially the courtyard. Enjoyed drinks around the fireplaces and just loved the ambiance of the entire place.
I like places with a vibe or ambience. The Colorado Hotel oozes with its history. The furniture, the fixtures, the commemorative photographs on the walls, all help to capture the history of the place. The bed was comfortable and the staff was pleasant.
I didn't see a single ghost. LOL. I found the old radiator style heating to be a virtue, not a vice, but some people might wish for more control of their room temperature, like they lived in the 21st Century, or something.
Great location and classic style
Hotel closed the dining room during off season in Novemberand food only available in the bar.
Grand old historic hotel now in decline.
Cracked sink, stained tub, tired paint, too few electrical outlets, no effort to replace missing hair dryer from holder, no mini fridge, no microwave, sparrow flying about in room after entering through hole in halfway ceiling, antique furniture falling apart in hallway.
Comfortable bed and room, free wifi, great breakfast
Room needs TLC--dirty baseboards and doors. Easily fixable.
Loved the history of the place.
Loud and dirty carpet
We enjoy the history of the hotel and the area. My daughter and I come about twice a year. We are within walking distance from anywhere we like to go. The Yampah spa, the pool, the brewery etc.
Old and in need of renovation. Interesting and historic
The hotel was beautiful, we took the tour and our guide was amazing.
Food at hotel was not kid friendly.
The outlandish price paid for such a small room on the fourth floor.
I loved the hotel. Great ambiance. Staff was very courteous. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and believe it or not...the pillows were perfect. Breakfast was very reasonable and delicious. Did I mention I love mimosas. I will definitely stay again.
It was like walking through the 1900's the it was furnished. Our family took a delightful tour with a very knowledgable tour guide. We really enjoyed our time there.
Wish there would have been more electrical outlets to plug in cell phones and tablets in the rooms. Being a older hotel there seemed a shortage in that area.
Loved the location and history of the hotel. Felt like stepping back in time. Some historic hotels are stuffy and pretentious....Hotel Colorado is as warm and comfortable as home. Loved that it is dog friendly even though we didn't have a pet along.
Restaurant food for dinner was extremely disappointing, not what we were expecting. Poor quality and presentation. Breakfast was a disaster, staff obviously not prepared for the number of guests, we were ignored for quite a while, coffee was lukewarm when we finally did get some, order either not placed or placed in correctly. We questioned several times, and left after waiting an hour still without being served.Would definately avoid the food services in the future.
Dining room and bar
No discount for pool
It was a period piece from the turn of the 20th century.
The atmosphere, history the beautiful grounds fire pits
No coffee pots in rooms but we bought an electruc tea kettle so we could have our tea
Love the location and the grounds. Lovely ambiance.
Parking is always a problem.
