The view on the skyline is magnificent. Very close to metro station. Nice building. Good location to relax after a long day walking around in NYC.
Location and facilities were very good
Our inward flight was very late and we had no contact details to check for late arrival- also keys to apt were not readily available on arrival albeit matters were resolved within 10mins. Phone in the apt did not work but again this was fixed within a reasonable time frame
Great location; close to Path station, gym and restaurant downstairs. Really great views of the city as well. Very good size for a one-bed apartment.
Front desk/concierge didn't really seem briefed on the key pick-up procedure. They directed me to the wrong place first time around. I came back and then a different guy found that the keys were in an envelope waiting for me on the desk.
The apartment is really well located, 2 minutes walk from the path and 10 minutes far from Manhattan (by path). The amenities is perfect with a washing machine and a dryer. The staff provided us a high chair and a travel bed for our baby. The view from the apartment (33rd floor) is very nice too.
Nothing linked to the apartment
Pretty much everything was either very good or ok. The apartment I stayed in was beautifully decorated, very well equipped and has a great view. Everything worked perfectly. The location is also good, it's less than a block away from the PATH train to Manhattan and the ride is very quick.
The only thing that got me by sirprise was the fact that it's not really a hotel in the ordinary sense of the word. Sky City rents and decorates some apartaments in this building and the folks that work in there are not part of Sky City's staff at all. The people at the front desk are lovely and ultra helpful, but I only got to speak to Sky City's staff over the phone or email. Anyway, this is not exactly a negative point, it was just completely unexpected and I believe it should be made explicit to guests how the hotel works before they actually arrive.
Views amazing from 33rd floor - apartment lived up to expectations. It was clean, spacious and plenty of storage. In spite of the time it took to get into NYC I would definitely stay here again but be aware of how long and sometimes uncomfortably warm the journey could be both at rush hour but also late in the evening with people returning to New Jersey.
As this isn't a hotel I felt there should have been more info provided in the apartment about where to find the leisure facilities within the complex and also local grocery stores etc - the info provided was great for NYC but nothing for Jersey City. Also we found the PATH train to Manhattan frustrating as it didn't seem to run to its timetable so we spent quite a bit of time waiting on hot platforms to get into Manhattan - obviously not as lucky as previous occupants. It was so bad we only returned to the apartment on one occasion to shower and change for dinner and to return to Manhattan - the other evenings we just stayed on in Manhattan and returned after dinner - just don't want people to think its a 5 minute trip ... we found it was more like 30 to 40 minutes by the time we included waiting for a train. Final small point - could do with a few more clothes hangars please!
