i was very much empress by the front desk <elia>i dont know if i spelled his name correct,
superior staff, convenient to airport, upscale furnishings, complete breakfast, easy wifi, flexible shuttle service, quiet despite nearby freeway, building a little bit dated
neighborhood appeared dicey, especially compared to newer Holiday Inn property nearby
The staff was amazing in their willingness and attitude toward providing service. Shuttles are available WHENEVER they are needed with cheerful and accommodating drivers...even at 5:20 in the morning! The front desk happily strives to provide customer service and accommodates special needs. Amazing!
The hotel is adjacent to Hwy 5, therefore the view was poor and opening a window for sleeping was not an option. Ambiance overall is limited in this chain hotel, but we chose it for its location and value.
Airport and local area shuttle
The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was good and the hotel itself was really nice.
When I arrived at San Diego airport the hotel had jut lost power. No shuttle service was available and my family and I were forced to take an over priced shuttle at 12am. When we arrived, the entire hotel was without power. The staff informed us of available rooms at the La Quinta where we had to pay. After reviewing my credit card, I still see the pending charge for the holiday inn reservation that I never used. It was a long night with no power, no free shuttle service as promised and a stay at a local hotel that I did not like at 1am in the morning.
Jacuzzi Rooms Staff Breakfast Free shuttles to seaworld and zoo Fairly near old town or train which takes you all round San Diego
I love the night staff the man who checked me in was great. I think his name was jose.
The morning staff were not very friendly. I didn't get her name and i didn't like that you took out more money out of my account. I understand it gets put back but I didn't like that.
It was clean, nice location, easy access to the freeway, breakfast was good. The room was clean and very update to date. The staff was friendly and very nice.
Very nice room. The bed could have been just a little better but other than that it was wonderful.
Great location near the airport for early flights. Underground, security parking a plus. Did not really hear the planes landing or taking off and we had a room toward the west.
Shuttle is only hourly, providing an every half hour shuttle would be a nice option. On time and friendly.
Pool was nice, room a little dark but it was quiet there
Hotel did not have an European adapter to lend to the visitors
Every staff member we came across, from the front desk to the shuttle guys, were just wonderful. They were all friendly and very helpful. Location was a 20 minute walk from Old Town, but a shuttle is conveniently provided by the hotel, too. The beds were comfy, the room was clean and spacious. It also has a very nice modern look. We would definitely stay again.
We were able to hear some faint laughter or yawning from next door which tells me the walls may be a tad thin. Or I just may have really good hearing. It was no big deal. That was the only issue we came across.
Clean. New. Close to seaworld
Jose at the front desk was extremily kind and helpful!!
Breakfast is very poor.
Close to airport Friendly staff Clean facilities
Relative high price for mid-level hotel Very simple, but complimentary, breakfast
The shuttle was excellent. It was available to old town, the zoo, sea world and to the airport! Also had washer and dryer which we really needed. The staff was wonderfulm
Location is on opposite side of airport from all other hotels. This hotel sits by itself between a dark, industrial area and old town San Diego. The hotel itself is in two buildings. My first room was in the below ground parking level. Very isoloated. I felt very uncomfortable traveling alone here. The $150 per night felt VERY overpriced, given the undesireable area.
Easy access to freeways and a short 10 min drive to seaport village. If you are looking for something that is easy to get to the freeway this is it.no frills type of place. Would stay there again. Good price. Free parking a plus.
If you are on the west side of the building it might be noisy from the freery traffic. We were on the other side. Quiet as can be.
We liked the size of the room, the comfortable beds and the complimentary breakfast. We also liked the shuttle service and the very reasonably priced shop in the complex.
Location. Service. Polite front desk.
Rooms too small. Bathroom need updating. Air conditioner not work well. Too noisy next to freeway. No screen to open window. Parking fair, tight. Breakfast unexciting and very limited. First room they tried to put us in was dungeon-like, no light.
The king sweet was amazing and the bed was comfortable.
Some of The TV channels were messed up and I didn't like the plastic cover above the ac vent and there was no curtain for privacy
ready to help in every way
Have a decent breakfast. Clean room and bathroom. Nice Shuttle service.
Noise. Since facility is right next to the I-5 freeway, the noise killed my sleep. It affected my conference. Sleepy all day! I plugged my ears next day but still hear the heavy freeway noise. Be ware if you are sensitive to noise. I am not sensitive to noise at all but it bordered me.
