The location was absolutely amazing. Walking distance to multiple trains and half a block to central park. The staff was super friendly and helpfull. The rooms are a little small but what do you expect in manhatten.
When the heat broke in the building. But the staff was quick with blankets.
Not that this hotel was horrible but with just a little more attention to detail - it could be a 10.
Located near to metro station Located close to Central Park
Wifi is not fast and need to log in each time we use Breakfast room is too small Elevator very slow
the location was the best aspect of this hotel you are a nice 20 min walk from times square and you have restaurants, and a cinema within 5 mins of hotel. the staff were very friendly and helpful.
this hotel was the most expensive I have ever stayed in anywhere and the room was also the smallest I have ever stayed in anywhere. the money alone, for me, makes this a hotel I will never stay in again. there are cheaper hotels in manhatten with better location and as friendly and helpful staff.
Location was terrific: upper west side was where I wanted to be. Price was excellent. Didn't mind the average facilities because I was barely at the hotel. Some staff were fabulously helpful. Accommodated me with a room despite early arrival.
Old facility. My two bed room was a very funny and cramped L shape. Floor carpet stained. Shower no bath. One gets the impression that it is only a matter of time before this hotel is downed and a fancy condo complex or hotel built instead.
Location for my needs OK
Room very small, given the double bed in it: I had to keep my suitcase on the unused part of the bed as there was nowhere else to put it. Room and bathroom badly in need of renovation & redecoration. Windows haven't been cleaned for years (if ever).
LOCATION AND PRICE
Friendly staff and close to transportation
Room next to the elevator
location is good.
I didn't like courtyard room.
Comfort Inn has an excellent location for those attending performances at Lincoln Centre. It is a delightful walk across Central Park to the MET Museum. Good cafés and shops in the area
In general the Comfort Inn is run down and not very clean. For example, the bedroom carpet was old and stained, the cupboards were very chipped and there were dirty marks on the wall. It needs serious refurbishment.
Great location, just a few minutes to central park, a block away from the historical Dakota, a few minutes away from the subway on Columbus street. Staff was very polite and always helpful. I'll definitly return.
The room was small, but this is to be expected in New York.
The location was the only good thing about this hotel.
The room was extremly tiny, very old style. The heating system was making noises all night long and it was really COLD. When the wind was blowing, the curtains were moving and we could feel the cold coming in the room. No parking place where they sent us (two blocks away) was completly full, but they say that no reservation for the parking is neede. We will never stay at this hotel again
Nice location! Very close to the subway. Very close to central park! Comfortable bed. Soap and shampoo were changed every day. You can collect apple or banana in your room after breakfast :)
Little room but it is not a big deal. Need to wait a table for 10 mins if you are late for a breakfast (8am). Breakfasts start at 7 am. But if you come at 7.00 there is no bacon yet :)
Location Location love it...
Paid cheaply for this hotel 115/night. Staff was amazing considering we were early and needes late check it. If you want to see the city and need a place to call home base thats comfy, affordable and has its own bathroom this is yours. Beats so many of the hotels inits class. Breakfast was complimentary and in that regard awesome. Eggs wity cheese, bagels, donuts, waffles, juice. If your going to to tourist and want a place thats nice yet not too eccentric this isfor you. Already reccomended to friends and family
No heat, and it was not fixed after I complained Was given an electric heater Same was last year
only one lift and that was out of action for a time.
Bed very comfortable and location
Room was so small Breakfast was disgusting Bathroom was nothing more than a cupboard
Location was fine for those who like to walk about half hour to key areas. Continental breakfast was hearty and sufficient to start a busy day touring NYC. Staff were accommodating though they should have a uniform or logo' shirt so you can quickly identify them as staff vs guests.
Small size of room - though this is probably std for the price point paid. Cleanliness of common areas in the hotel could have been better - our room was good.
Easy access to Central Park and Subway
Just a little noisy in our front facing room
The room was tiny - but quiet!!!!! This is what I want/need in a hotel. Dragging about exhausted because folks are banging around down long halls does not do it for me. This is a small vertical hotel. Central Park is a half block to the east. Columbus Ave rich with good interesting food options half a block to the west. Subway a block away and again - it was quiet!!!!
It could have been cleaner- dust - but bathroom and bedding were clean. The drapes could have fit the window.
Good location close to central park and subway.
Extremely small room, not even a chair and a small desk. Breakfast room is extremely small. Had to wait 45 minutes for a place to sit.
The location, close to the park was ideal. Very congenial and helpful agents at the front desk. Room small, but efficient. Bed great!
The breakfast was not as good as the last time we stayed. Awful scrambled eggs.
I like the location.
I did not like the lift. I stayed 14th floor and had to wait long to reach my room or to go down. I did not like the breakfast room. It was small, very little table and people had to wait to have breakfast. Also I did not like the service in breakfast room. Food was low quality and plates were not real plates. They were disposable ones not ceramics. They should better take care their customers.
The location is fabulous, so close to Central Park, convenient to the subway, close to Lincoln Center and The Juilliard School!
The room with a double bed is very small with a tiny bathroom.
