rooms are so small, very old, dirty, Windows sight on a black wall so impossible to open; you Wonder how they renew the air of the room. stairs are sticky ( never washed i guees i saw the sames stains during ma y stay) bad selle ( animals odors) . I asked to change of room they gave me the same. I asked for e real decent room i finally had one with a window and outside light but a very skiny bathroom. but i prefered that than a closet or a cellar. i m about tu send pictures to the direction of Comfort inn becaus i doesn'st deserve suche à label. it s a disaster !!!!
Great location- Central Park just up the street. Friendly, helpful staff-gave good suggestions where to eat. Readily responsive when there was a problem.
Only one elevator, but this is understandable with an old building. Small breakfast room- limited seating to accommodate morning rush.
I like the location of the hotel. It's behind the Central Park in Upper Manhattan and 10 minutes walking to entertainment, MoMA or other hot spots. The staffs were really nice and friendly.
The room which I stayed was really small and the corridors or general hotel ground were squalid. There were 2 small elevators which were not sufficient most of the time for 10-12 floors. However you would prefer this hotel for price and location.
The location is great. Close to CPW and museums. Short staffed, but those that were there were very helpful.
No individualized heat controls in rooms. Heat controlled by floors from front desk. Could definitely use a dusting, vacuuming. DO NOT ask for a crib. Pack n play was delivered - filthy.
Location is very good . Staff is nice and helpful.
Not clean, shower does not work properly, very tiny little room.
- Couldn't sleep because of air conditioning making a loud noise - Door of my room was wide open when I came back after midnight
price as a 4 star hotel
Good location. Inexpensive. Well stocked breakfast with great orange juice.
Facilities are run down Tiny bathroom and draughty rooms. Long waits for the one elevator. WeekWi-Fi.
Location and bed and price
Furnishings and size of breakfast room
There was mushrooms growing out of the carpet. It was so gross, we checked out after one day. And below the bed was so dirty. The bathroom was so small.
location, next to central park. breakfast was sufficient enough to start the day.
Some of the furnitures are worn, need up grades. The hot water in the shower a bit slow to flow. The toilet seat in our room is broken, no view from the room (dark).
The variety of choices at breakfast was good. The bed was wonderful!
Both online and in room hotel information said there were workout facilities available, but there weren't. The shriveled hard-boiled eggs were unappealing.
The location of this hotel was great! As a frequent traveler to NYC, it was great to be in such a central location with a subway 1 block away. The bed was also very comfortable! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who has been to New York before. If you've never been then I'd suggest a location a little closer to downtown, but this was still a great spot.
Room was a little smaller than anticipated.
Breakfast room too small and depressing. Needs to brighten up.
Location is great, not far from Central Park and subway.
response to request re cable servive
Wireless was good and location and that's all
The rooms are tiny, cold and drafty..... We had to move rooms the 2nd day as the toilet overflowed and would not flush properly, the room we moved to was slightly bigger but again cold. Breakfast was awful and no where to sit...... Ate at a diner for the rest of the stay.
Location, close to parking
Room was too small, garbage wasn't picked up one day, breakfast room was too crowded, no control for room temperature
Location, bed, room size, coffee was great, and when breakfast was available it was good. Wifi stable
Elevator was slow, at 9 am breakfast was poor on the Monday morning, there was nothing there. Tuesday was good. Hot water later is poor, early in the morning was good. Furniture dusty and chairs soiled
I loved the location. Good train access and walking distance to places nearby. Rooms were small but livable. I did get a good rate for the location and I will stay there again.
I did not like the size of the bathroom. It was clean and stocked but it was very small. I needed a place with parking. The parking garage the hotel was affiliated with cost me $52.00 just the first night. They also initially tried to tell me they had no room for my car. When I asked them not to turn me away they said ok but would charge me an additional $15.00 because I had an SUV. I felt like I was taken advantage of because I had no where else to go. If I do stay at this hotel again I won't drive.
We liked the location, a few blocks up the west side of Central Park. The bustle of Manhattan drops away for quiet nights, but all the city has to offer is close.
Everything about the hotel needs a major update. The breakfast room was way too small.
The dirty, shabby, over-heated, airless tiny room. Wi-fi didn't work and they ran out of breakfast by 9:00--maybe a good thing since breakfast area was filthy.
Great location, staff were friendly, clean rooms and the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was also reasonable with a variety of different foods.
The room was tiny and there weren't enough tables and chairs in the breakfast room, we had to always eat out in the lobby or standing up and was extremely crowded for the small space.
