The location was really good ! The museum of natural history is 4 or 5 streets away, and Columbus avenue is full of restaurants. The staff is nice and helpful
The room was really really small The hotel would need a renovation since it is a bit aging
Location was excellent. Close to theaters and museums. Staff was extremely friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was very good.
Elevator service was poor. Limited area for breakfast.
The carpet was nasty and the hotel really in bad condition.the keys for my door never worked, i was so angry that i had to change to another hotel the next day .
The location was great . Nice breakfast included in price . I would definitely stay again .
Everything was satisfactory
They let me check in before 3 with no problem.
Location and helpful staff
Tiny room, poor selection of breakfast and only one elevator which the hotel guest and staff have to use... meaning long waiting for the elevator (loooong waiting for the elevator).
Location was good, with good access to restaurants and bars, also subway was close by. Towels changed every day.
Room was very small with nowhere to store clothes, unable to open windows.
Reception and room attendants were great. I had to check in after midnight, and there was no issue at all. Room was - obviously - not huge (it's Central NY, what do you expect?) but bed was good size and super comfy, and that was what I was needing. Breakfast was pretty extensive, considering it was included in the price of the room, and it's a lower budget hotel. Two types of egg, varying sausage, bacon and patty, yoghurts, cereal, sweet baked stuff, different toasting options (including English Muffins), waffles, fresh fruit, and lots of different juice/coffee options. I was on the second floor, which meant I didn't have to ever use the elevator, but I didn't have any window view/much natural light - fine by me, I needed the room to sleep in, and didn't spend time in there during the day. Also pretty sure that if you request a more deluxe room you get a higher level and view etc. Not my priority though.
The shower was a bit cantankerous/violent. I had to ask to have the head repaired on the first day as the pressure meant that the spray only went out of the curtained area, but even once fixed it was still violent enough to blow the curtain out of the shower tray during use. May have been the pressure of being on the lowest floor of rooms, and didn't really impact on my stay.
Near the park, soft bed vending machines cheap.
Breakfast not always ready at 7am Very small room would get a king next time.
Dirty room. Blood stains on carpet. Room so small. Very dated. Not comfortable
I really liked the location The staff was friendly
I didn't mind that the rooms were so small but the carpet was disgusting. The door had been broken before. The room and shower are very dated. I would not recommend this hotel. I had three couples go after us and I discouraged it
Bathroom was never cleaned hair clogging the drain. Didn't look like much cleaning had been done in years.
Location, location, location.
The rooms need renovating.
Location, cleanliness and staff. I have no doubt I would book it again.
There is only one elavator, which means a tough task going to have breakfast. By the way... the breakfast room is very small for such big hotel.
location bed staff behaviour
wifi (poor connectivity & disruption) shower (water speed & imbalance hot & cold water mix)
Old building, too expensive for the actual hotel quality
location price reasonable
staff not so helpful
Location Subway nearby goes everywhere
No water pressure No friendly staff Extremely long blocked CC after paying with CC Really small Rooms 1 elevator for too many floors
Quiet location, charming UWS neighborhood, many restaurants and shops nearby
Small, extremely slow elevator, tiny bathtub/shower, overall rundown appearance of room furnishings. Feels like rooms could use over all "updating"
Compared to other hotels this hotel is good in terms of price and location. We stayed at a hotel in Boston for a cheaper price and the luxury was a lot higher. However, I guess NY is an expensive city anyways. The rooms are small but after walking for 6 hours in manhattan, we went there just to take take a shower and sleep.
The only elevator is the slowest on earth. the bed took up the whole room and the desk size is anything but large
Staff was great, else not.
Extremely small rooms, not at all like pictures. Stairway horrifying, bad angles to get in and out. What breakfast! you cant call it food even.
Rooms are absolutely too small.
Small room Noisy and low efficient A/C
Staff is always friendly and willing to help. Never a problem when staying there.. Everytime we are in the city we stay here
