Location Location love it...
Paid cheaply for this hotel 115/night. Staff was amazing considering we were early and needes late check it. If you want to see the city and need a place to call home base thats comfy, affordable and has its own bathroom this is yours. Beats so many of the hotels inits class. Breakfast was complimentary and in that regard awesome. Eggs wity cheese, bagels, donuts, waffles, juice. If your going to to tourist and want a place thats nice yet not too eccentric this isfor you. Already reccomended to friends and family
No heat, and it was not fixed after I complained Was given an electric heater Same was last year
only one lift and that was out of action for a time.
Bed very comfortable and location
Room was so small Breakfast was disgusting Bathroom was nothing more than a cupboard
Location was fine for those who like to walk about half hour to key areas. Continental breakfast was hearty and sufficient to start a busy day touring NYC. Staff were accommodating though they should have a uniform or logo' shirt so you can quickly identify them as staff vs guests.
Small size of room - though this is probably std for the price point paid. Cleanliness of common areas in the hotel could have been better - our room was good.
Easy access to Central Park and Subway
Just a little noisy in our front facing room
The room was tiny - but quiet!!!!! This is what I want/need in a hotel. Dragging about exhausted because folks are banging around down long halls does not do it for me. This is a small vertical hotel. Central Park is a half block to the east. Columbus Ave rich with good interesting food options half a block to the west. Subway a block away and again - it was quiet!!!!
It could have been cleaner- dust - but bathroom and bedding were clean. The drapes could have fit the window.
Good location close to central park and subway.
Extremely small room, not even a chair and a small desk. Breakfast room is extremely small. Had to wait 45 minutes for a place to sit.
The location, close to the park was ideal. Very congenial and helpful agents at the front desk. Room small, but efficient. Bed great!
The breakfast was not as good as the last time we stayed. Awful scrambled eggs.
I like the location.
I did not like the lift. I stayed 14th floor and had to wait long to reach my room or to go down. I did not like the breakfast room. It was small, very little table and people had to wait to have breakfast. Also I did not like the service in breakfast room. Food was low quality and plates were not real plates. They were disposable ones not ceramics. They should better take care their customers.
The location is fabulous, so close to Central Park, convenient to the subway, close to Lincoln Center and The Juilliard School!
The room with a double bed is very small with a tiny bathroom.
The location was great. Ask to be on floors 1 -5 so you don't have to take the elevator. Staff was fair, but there was on manager (female) at the front desk who was very nice and efficient. She answered all of our questions.
I was told I would have two double beds. I had one king instead. The hotel description indicated a work out room, there was none. One elevator, problematic, especially if you are on the 14th floor.
The friendliness of the staff
The room was very small and the bathroom was so small that you had to slip under the sink to use the toilet. The room was cold because the heating was malfunctioning.
A very helpful and friendly staff. It was a great breakfast. It was nice to be able to print plane tickets in the lobby.
We were in room 801 and it was freezing in the hall and our room. Finally, on the 3rd night, I spoke to a maintenance person and he said to let the front desk know and they would send up a heater. Would have been nice the first 2 nights. There were cracks in the windows (couldn't close the window the whole way) in the bathroom and bedroom.
the staff, the cleanliness, everything is dated, too small
Hotel needs updating and a coat if paint
Room too small for one person but it's a double room. Halls narrow. Eggs at breakfast so disgusting I couldnt eat them--boiled or scrambled. Booking.com said smoking available, but hotel is totally non-smoking. And for a lower price I moved to a vastly superior hotel a few blocks away.
The 3rd shift girl was awesome!!!!!!!!!!
One girl was not AT ALL NICE!!!!
Price, size of room, tiny breakfast room.
Great value and wonderful location to enjoy our trip to see a Beacon Theatre concert.
Tiny room, bad breakfast, poorly cleaned
Down to NYC for hospital emergency. Staff was wonderfully helpful to us country bumpkins - can't say enough. Penny went above & beyond to help. Beds comfortable though rooms small.
Had to pay by credit card
staff is very helpful
Hotel has just 1 (ONE) elevator for over 110 rooms.. and 14 floors. Cleaning people use the same elevator. I had times with a line to use the lift and waited for people to go up and then down until I was able to use it... worse than subway at peak hours.. rooms and overall buildings needs heavy repairs. Very run down.. carpets and bathrooms are close to destroyed...
