Score from 9 reviews Excellent
They had very comfortable beds, the room was spacious, the breakfast was good. The trolley went past the hotel which was excellent for tourists.
Location is great. Short drive to folly beach and a short walk to downton King st shops/ restuarants/ bars.
Didn't clean our room one of the days we were there and we were out by noon. Requested extra towels to be brought up to our room and had to ask a second time for them.
breakfast was the best...staff was great ...all of them
Very good value, very convenient for free shuttle bus to downtown
lack of parking
First room ceiling leaked onto bed. Second room smelled of mold and mildew and rug was wet in one area. Notified the staff and nothing happened. Potentially unhealthy and certainly not acceptable at any price!
Location, price, breakfast & pool
Use of plastic & styrofoam at breakfast
The free breakfast and the young lady who prepared the food. She was helpful and friendly. The convenience of the exercise room.
Tight quarters, hallway musty smells, uninformed front desk workers, and pushy room cleaning ladies.
your company was very accomdating.
1. entrance: you have to carry your luggage up steps in order to enter. Very uninviting. 2. PARKING IS INADEQUATE!! we had to park in overflow parking which was located behind the hotel. Again, it meant going up and down steps before going up more steps to get into the hotel. It was raining when we arrived and to have to traipse from the overflow parking w/luggage and with an umbrella was a bit much! 3. The room: the bedding was good but the bathroom tub had hair in it, the sink was a slow drainer and one of the vanity lights was out. I've never written a negative review before but this place needs some corporate attention.
The bed was comfortable.
The lady did not open breakfast bar on time 6am. the desk person said it was Friday a weekend and they opened at 7am on weekends. My weekend starts after work day. Tub had soap scum in it. Last year I stayed here and had no issues.
Comfortable and clean with a friendly staff. Easy to get to and from I-95.
The motel advertised it was only a 20 minute walk to the historic district and it was at least twice that. Spend the $10 for a taxi. The breakfast was sub standard for a Comfort Inn and on our last day it was 1 hour late opening because the help didn't show up. The Wi-Fi was very slow.
layout of the room large good quality TV large refrig
doors are thin and you can hear every door on the floor open and close.
Breakfast, room, pillows, location, staff, directions kiosk, coupons and brochures, cookies
Not enough parking and breakfast was 1 hour late one day.
The location was great.
The shuttle that stopped in front of the hotel was not reliable. We were looking forward to riding the shuttle and not drive everywhere we went. The shuttle is one of the reasons we choose this hotel. Parking downtown was expensive.
The rooms where very clean and the a/c worked great.
The wifi went in and out all week I was on line then it would just drop out. Also the window green piece of paper came off of my dash on to the floor and my car was towed so yes very poor staff. They know I was staying in room 608.
Staff relocated us to a very nice room once we complained of the wet floor and musty smell in our original room
Our room's carpet was wet and room had a strong musty smell.
Wait for elevator.. Breakfast not very healthy.. Slightly overpriced..
From checking in to checking out our experience was pleasurable my grand daughter and i hope to return. Location to historic area and to folly couldn't have been better! Thank You. .. we will return !
All was well
The parking at this location was not that great
Staff very nice & helpful. also liked the free breakfast.
Vending machines were not well stocked & would not except dollar bills for entire 5 night stay
Room was large enough and had a good TV (with HBO) and a refrigerator. The king-sized bed was very comfortable, staff was friendly. Reasonable rates.
The first morning's breakfas was not very good -- most of the food was gone and the eating facility was pretty dirty! After the first day there was another lady running the breakfast and it was very good. The internet was intermittent and very slow. This is an older hotel and parking was limited, the hotel is showing it's age but is acceptable.
There was a GIANT cockroach crawling on the wall in our room.
Room was comfortable especially the bed. Slept well. Generally quiet with no neighboring noise. Liked having fridge/microwave. Staff was cordial/friendly.
Parking was tight, hard to find spots. Lobby was too cold in the morning to sit with some coffee. Bathroom was cramped for a couple. Breakfast was fair at best. Overall location was too congested, not scenic in the least....not the best area of town.
The staff is terrible at the desk. We have stayed. There twice and had to wait 20-30 minutes just to check in. Parking is terrible. They don't have enough, we came in 2 different nights around 8:30pm and were told to park at bank next door, then starting at 8am the front desk calls you to move your car. You cannot sleep late on vacation with the front desk calling you. I needed directions and had to wait for the front desk clerk to quit talking to her boyfriend on the phone. The whole front desk staff needs to find a new job!
