Comfort Inn was a good affordable hotel. We went on a whim and didn't want to spend too much money and this hotel was good for that. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room although a little outdated was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was a bonus, biscuits and gravy were very tasty.
Although there is a free trolley just outside the hotel, we would definitely rent a car if we stayed here again. We were told the shuttle runs every 30 mins, more like 40 and it really does eat a lot of your time getting places. It also only runs to 8:00pm so you have to plan accordingly.
Location to Medical College and downtown. Beds and pillows and comforter were wonderful. Bus free and right outside the hotel. Parking was free and adequate. Breakfast was perfectly adequate.
Comfortable and clean. Really a very nice hotel with reasonable rates in a great location. Will absolutely book again.
nothing comes to mind.
Helpful staff at check in.
The coffee in the lobby.
I was disappointed because I thought the hotel was close to downtown but not at all. A long walk....If I had know, I would have taken a hotel outside of the town (cost less money) and drive to downtown Old bathroom.
Comfortable , location acceptable for my purpose..Pricey for what u get but > half the price of other hotels in or near historic district. Breakfast buffet was acceptable.
Poor parking availability-near full capacity at check in- front desk clerk was not very welcoming and talking on her cell phone a lot.
Closed the pool just because of a tornado watch
Nice hotel Great staff Good firm pillows
There were only fast food outlets nearby. To get to an alternative was a 10 minute walk away.
when we entered the room the dresser drawers and closet doors were wide open. the tv, microwave and refridgerator were unplugged. The refridgerator did not work.
Good breakfast--not just carbs.
Needs ventilator fan in bathroom.
Staff helpful and courteous. Clean and in a great location!
The location was horrible. We were tricked into believing it was in the true downtown. No shops, restaurants, bars or anything nearby. Bad
Friendly staff helpful ok breakfast. Problem with billing will be calling to resolve. Note left at desk for a manager. Don Kimsey 302-743-5842. Thk you.
Need resolution to billing. Told them to not chg to credit card n thank I would pay cash at checkout. Charged credit card at 2am after I checked in at 8pm. Plus didn't give the 3A discount even when I showed card. Was suppose to also get 25.00 credit for missed room service. Neither on my bill given to me at departure. Vann made note of it for manager to correct since he didn't have authority to correct issue. Please call 302-753-5842. Don Kimsey.
Location was good. Breakfast also good.
Second day room was not made. when desk was called for towels we were told to walk down to desk to get them. Not enough parking in lot, overflow parking next door at bank worked until desk called at 0720 hrs to say car had to be moved immediately.
Nice comfortable bed. Very clean. Easy parking!
For over 200$ a night it needs a renovation- very old worn down looking. Staff was great but needs to be more presentable. The trolly was never on time. The breakfast stunk and amenities were very old.
Amenities - appearance- presentation of staff- gym - breakfast
It was clean and the staff were pleasant.
Parking is extremely limited and poor. Also, I expected the distance/walk to downtown area to be much more convenient and accessible since it was advertised as a "downtown" hotel.... Not so much. I could have stayed at the Hampton inn or embassy suites downtown for what I paid to stay here, and it would have been much more convenient to downtown. Other than that, overall, it was a pleasant experience.
When we checked in there was a peeled half eaten banana in the waste basket and the bed was rumpled.
The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful porviding information.
Not enough space for morning breakfast.
room reservations were wrong and had to get a roll away bed sent to our room which was most uncomfortable
The rooms are comfortable, large and well equipped: fridge, microwave, coffee machine, large flat TV. Free trolley to downtown stops right in front (every 30 mins but printed times are not respected) For most sites, you need a second connecting trolley. Breakfast is just OK , you don't leave hungry. Taxi flat rate $8 anywhere to downtown...better than paying an extra $50-80 for downtown room.
Location: between parking areas, not walkable. Not really downtown but on peninsula. Breakfast just till 9:00, and it gets very crowded. The small pool is not heated, and closes in October.
Nowhere to eat (except for fast food) nearby. Beds were not the best.
One receptionist was very helpful (long curly hair).
Our room was not cleaned on the second last day. Timetables for free shuttle buses could have been obtained by reception.
breakfast & room plus friendly staff
parking was tight
