Comfort Inn City Center  

The downtown la area has a fairly high crime rate, so the off-street parking at the hotel made us feel that our car was not likely to be broken into. Also the hotel had many live security cameras which front desk staff monitored. The front lobby area was nicely appointed, and the continental breakfast offered plenty of variety. The best part was the front desk staff! One of the young women (Erica) called me when there was an issue with holding our room ... they were sold out and she was afraid we would lose our reservation! If not for her call, we would have.

Our room was modest, which was okay but it was also a little worse for wear. Lampshades that looked a little shabby, flat pillows on the bed, air conditioner controls that didn't work, etc. The location in downtown was not in a great neighborhood, but not much to do about that.

Sylvia was very nice. The lobby is nice.

The staff (other than Sylvia) were not nice. The pillows are terrible and we asked for 2 extra pillows but they only brought one, they said they don't have anymore. The sign in the room says to call if we need toiletries, we asked for hair conditioner and a razor- they did not give us anything. It's not very close to Staples Center.

The bed was comfortable.

Far too noisy, impossible to sleep. The rooms are very dated and dingy. The wife only worked in lobby despite the hotel advising us of free WiFi in the rooms.

I awoke the next morning after spending the night in my room to discover roaches crawling all over the furniture and room. This hotel is deplorable. Thank God my wife and children were not staying with me. I reported the incident to comfort inn corporate offices. Never again. It is also located in a very dangerous area. It was very close to the highway and to downtown. The parking is affordable vs the downtown hotels

There was trash scattered around the outside of the building. As previous reviews state, you are not in the nicest neighborhoods. However, it was not bad. I didn't feel unsafe, but I also didn't go for an evening stroll. The breakfast area is very small, so I brought my food up to my room each day.

No parking fees and the room has a balcony.

Toilet made noise, I had to shut the valve when not in use. The room was aged and smelled.

Nothing was too much trouble for the amazing Silvia at the reception, she helped me and my friend a lot during the whole duration of our stay.

The best things that I like was comfort and cost.

Reasonably priced comfortable rooms. Well suited to our purpose, which was a one night stop over.

Insufficient space available in the dining room for the number of guests especially for breakfast. Check in time is too late in the afternoon. Too much light in the room for sleeping. Emergency vehicle sirens seemed extremely frequent overnight.

It wasnt really expensive.

The room was smaller than it looked like In the picture. And the bed was supposedly a queen size when it was really was a twin size, not big enough for two people. The parking was very limited, and you don't want to park outside the parking lot because the area is very ghetto, your car might get jacked or something. They also charge for parking which is stupid because if you pay your not guaranteed a spot.and have to move the car back by 7am .. the walls were super super thin, you can hear everyone, the neighbors, the people that walk buy the room..I dint really get good sleep because of it.. and lastly I had called to ask a simple question, if there was a microwave or refrigerator and the lady that answered my phone call gave me attitude for asking and said, "why does every damn person ask if there's a fridge or microwave?" And then she hang up. I dont remember her name but she had an again accent.

Close to business, reasonable rate.
