When I arrived there was no one at the counter. When the woman came out she said, "hi, it is too early to check in". "I had an early check-in time", I said, "from booking.com". I let her know, still she said, she had nothing I could get into and she never knows when booking.com approves early or late check-in's.
I went to my car and got the email confirmations to show her. When she came to the counter, she did not welcome me, neither did she know who I was, nor did it seem to me she was interested in trying to find a way to accommodate me. Fo the first 5 minutes it was beyond distressing to me. As she went on to explain to me the four previous guests also said they had early check-in times, to which I replied this was not my problem. At that point she asked me "maam, what do you want me to do"? Call housekeeping and check if there were any rooms cleaned? Yes. This all took place until the manager came out to see what was going on. The staff member asked me twice if I was still wanting to stay there? I felt like she wanted me to go and that would be easier for her to send me somewhere else? By then that is how I felt. I told her no I wanted to stay there, both times. At first, the manager also began to explain what I was already told by his staff member but then I think he began to listen. By then I was not only tired but I felt my time was of the essence at this point and I was stressed out. Then the staff person heard back from housekeeping. My room was ready and clean! I wish the check-in person would have checked first before she put me through so much worry and stress. Later, after I checked into my room, the manager, Jamie, called my room to apologize. He told me he spoke with the woman who checked me in. Told me he wanted me to have a good experience at their hotel. I thanked him for the call and appreciated it. However, by then I was trying to decompress from the ordeal and still get to my appointment on time.
I really liked my room. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were, too. Beautifully decorated and clean. Hotel was clean and quiet. Very nice.
