Cool part of the city, very friendly and helpful people at the reception desk!
Room very small. Neighbours, elevator, fridge, aircon very loud. Breakfast"room" downstairs not really a room.
Great location Very near the metro
Breakfast very basic
The staff and it was clean
The smallness of the room. It was clostrophobic
Nice location-near Chinatown and subway. Many foods and pubs. Free breakfast. The bed and pillow were comfortable.
Breakfast is value for money but everyday is the same. A little noise in the night because of outside's pub.
Location and staff
Room not clean, very basic accommodation
Very few staff so need to wait before being attended to.
very friendly staff
very loud at night, bar area
Great location Value for money Helpful Staff. I'd stay there again
The carpet around the air con was damp my entire 3 day stay. I did alert the hotel manager and hopefully this will be fixed.
Room and bathroom were clean and neat. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Room was so tiny we could hardly walk around the beds - could not stand in front of the "closet" to hang up clothes - no room. One bed had to be angled into the space. Air conditioner leaked and soaked the carpet.
Late night staff very helpful. Edward went above and beyond to help me find my way while lost in Manhattan.
they ran out of food for breakfast & it wasn't kept real clean.
Staff were friendly and polite good location
hygienic conditions dilapidated structure really bad price/quality ratio inedible breakfast
Great location (Delancey/Essex subway station is just around the corner and the whole lower Manhattan within walking distance). Rooms are very small, but clean enough and include the basic necessities. If you do not mind the general shabbiness of the public areas, occasional noise from the street and the small rooms, the hotel is excellent value for money.
Fabulous staff, excellent location. Requested room on back, no noise problems. Free wifi, water, mini fridge useful. Standard, small NY room but well appointed.
Housekeeping could have been better, seem to do minimum.
Yes the room is small, but it was just me for one night. All I needed was a place to sleep and shower. Clean and quite. That was really all I was looking for.
Cord on the blow dryer - you have to dry your hair leaning against the wall not real nice when you have long hair. Shower pressure was up and down the whole time I was in it hard to decide when to start rinsing hair (again long hair)
Location, location, location! China Town, Little Italy, Katz' Deli, Lower Manhattan (9/11 Memorial), Wall St., all within easy distances. Staff responsive, dependable, part of the NYC experience!
Size of room, but that is understandable.
Close to our family; interesting neighborhood; short walking distance to the Tentament Museum. The staff was very welcoming, especially, George, if I remember his name correctly, the young man who handled the breakfast food and room.
While the bedding and towels were clean and fresh, the draperies and carpet were dingy, strained and dirty. The daily sweeping was not done well. The breakfast food was fine, but the basement room was banged up,ie., torn wallpaper and chipped paint. Realizing that the small size of the space required sharing it with the janitorial staff, I can't suggest any solutions to that situation.
The staff was friendly and helpful and that makes the stay especially important as you will have the assurance of help when needed.
Near to pub and drinking area and the noise level can be quite loud till 4am if you are a light sleeper.
location, close to where i needed to be, housekeeping staff friendly and helpful
smell of the room, floor was dirty, room very small...had to pay in cash and never got a receipt
Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Friendly staff .Good situation, near public transport.
Too small room for two person with baggages. Air conditioner was loud and the flow straight to the beds. Common spaces were unclean; especially stairs (elevator was not in use and we must use stairs).
Convenient location; quiet room
Very tight room; lobby and common areas were sloppy; stains on curtains/bedspread (yuck!)
Location: convenient to my needs; quiet room; comfortable bed
Tight quarters, lobby substandard, staff disengaged
I like Jasmine Bautista service! She is the best employee working at the front desk. She was helpful and pay attention to everything and help with whatever you need it.
When we arrived they sended us to a room that was dirty. The hallway of the 4th floor look and felt like it has never vaccum before. The garbage that we saw the first day was still there on the 4th day. They change us to the 5th. The room smell like is was never vaccum before. i asked twice on the fron t desk and the did nothing. I should have talk to Jasmine, the only helpful person at the front desk. Also my mom got stuck in the elevator for 10 min!
Bed, softness, next to where I had to go, friendly staff.
The elevator didn't work well. Looks like other guest had that problem early When leaving next morning we went down through the stairs.
tight quarters; furniture, walls, fixtures, etc. "beat up"; lobby and breakfast area "sloppy"
