    Shuttle to Staten Island ferry, GREAT breakfast, GREAT staff, refrig, iron, goid wifi

    1st room smelled like soured plaster or bad ac, changed rooms, needs more return shuttles from Staten island ferry earlier in afternoon

    My boyfriend checked in 3 hours before me, he didn't know what I had originally booked. When I arrived the room was way too small. I immediately contacted front desk advising them that I booked a "king room" and that in no way the room had a "king room" feel to it. They immediately accommodated us by switching the room, the engineer was very polite and walked us to the room to get the feel of the room and let us decide if we were happy with the room. If it wasnt for the staff I must say I would have been upset, but they were AWESOME!!! Because of them, I would definitely come back for a stay. Thanks to the staff for making us feel welcomed and appreciated.

    First room was way too small.

    Stephanie (front desk check in) offered additional assistance, information for our first time trip to Manhattan, activities. Utilized AM shuttle from hotel (the driver Frank is awesome) to Staten Island Ferry (free) to lower Manhattan and again in evenings. Much appreciated the hotel shuttle! Hotel food and AM kitchen staff actually quite good with hot and cold AM foods - perfect.

    Room is quite small and tight. One elevator for entire patrons and staff can take time during busy times. All was 'tolerable'.

    Beds were very comfortable, room was clean

    Checked in around 5:15 pm on july 14, person behind the desk came out of were ever eating, asked for name then for credit card no welcome or any kind of greeting .mumbled about the breakfast, vending machines etc. Got to room which was ok only two large towels for two people did hang them up but towels do not dry in hotel rooms, request a refrigerator didnt get one. But it was stated that it might not be granted. Around 12:30 -2:00 am very noisy peoples doors opening, shutting.keep me awake very noisy also bathroom doors does not stay open strange. Had iffy tv because of sereve storms but thats happens with satillite service. But for the price and location was a ok hotel ..

    Most staff members were really nice and helpful and the shuttle to the ferry comes in handy.

    The wi-fi connection is really slow. The telephone in our room wasn't working and nobody could figure out why.

    Stayed here to participate in the Five Boro Bike Tour which enabled us to complete the ride in Staten Island and not have to take the Ferry back into the city with 30,000 other riders.

    Reasonable pricing

    Beds too soft for my liking...room was tightly spaced but okay as we were only sleeping there for one night. Breakfast was at 7 am and that's was before we left so I cannot comment on food.

    The people the housekeepers were great and helpful.bed amazing

    Housekeepers in morning loud in hallway. The front desk when checked in uninformed. Boone told me to join choices privileges and the free 2nd reservation stay. Would have accumulated points.

    It's a good to stay if all you need is a place to sleep. The free breakfast is very good benefit.

    Why they use such terrible bathroom paper products is just stupid!!! And quite unnecessary.

    A well-kept motel, very helpful and friendly front-desk staff, a good, clean room and bathroom, great breakfast food ready and waiting, on-site parking ....

    A bit hard to find as it is hard to find off the highway. More detailed driving directions would help as it is tricky to get to.

    Room was small, The noise from employes outside the window smoking and swearing we could not hear TV or sleep, called front desk they moved but were still loud.The smoke smell from out side was sucked in to the room from the heat/ ac system. The AC system was cycling on and off all night long due to the curtians blocking the air flow and only heating the window.Tried to call front desk the phone was not plugged into the wall.The room # on phone was wrong this could be an issue if there was an emergency.The hook in the bathroom door was missing. First impressions usually set how your experience will be, the reservation staff we nice and polite the maintenace and cleaning staff should be more rerfined ( clean and tidy uniforms)tucked in no holes.
