Good, cheap place to stay if you have an early flight out of Albany. Nothing special, but it met my needs and gave me a comfortable place to sleep before my flight.
Our room looked so much nicer in the pictures. I paid for a king room but when I arrived (at check in time) there weren't any king rooms available. So I had the option of waiting 3 hours or paying $30 more for a king suite. The pool and hot tub were covered in foam. Made us not want to swim. The lady in the lobby told us that breakfast ended at 10:00am. We arrived at 9:30am and they wouldn't let us eat because they told us it ended at 9:30am.
We'll we had made reservations to stay and made it for a smoking room for four people and it was for New Years. We get to the hotel they don't know we have four people and they give us a smoking room. We found out when we got to the room that it wasn't a smoking room. And the room was real nice. We tell them this and they change our room ok cool we get to our new room it's freezing. We had no garbage can or bags. No coffee a coffee maker but no coffee. The ironing board was broken and the blow dryer didn't work. The room was trash. Breakfast was nothing special! Same as every other place.
Location and pool/hot tub
Bed was very old and creaky. Bathroom was disgusting...broken towel rack hanging side ways...all around bathroom was broken wall and door was broken and hard to shut. Rugs were filthy and not vacuumed. Very outdated also.
The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.
They room had an odor and rugs, bathroom were dirty
I liked the location of this hotel. It was close to nice restaurants and a nice mall. What I liked the most was when I was not there and when I checked out,
The build was very old and no attempt to up date and keep clean. The housekeeping team and breakfast buffet staff were very unprofessional and unclean themselves. So should not have been surprised when I asked for service they only changed one garbage and left some towels, Never change the sheets let alone made the bed. They went from room to room dumping sheets and towels from the rooms onto the dirty garbage lined concert ground outside the rooms. Garbage sat in the same spot for the whole time I was checked in. The other "guest", which I later found out, were permanent residents had nightly cook outs and/or domestic disturbances. The room was unclean to the point where I only touched things I had to touched. Thank goodness I only had to sleep and wash up in the room. Please stay far away from this hotel (loosely termed). Nickey...Atlanta G.A.
Location near airport, that's it
Rooms not ready at 3:30 in the afternoon; one room for late arrival "trashed" no cleaning at all. No other room available, two of three in party slept in one room. Staff completely disorganized, incapable of following through on commitments, disaster.
It's in the middle of the city, so everything is in close proximity.
Hot tub was not working at check-in, but, staff didn't advise me of that. If I had known, I would have cancelled my reservation. Room had not been vacuumed in years. The mirrors, door handles were filthy. I brought Lysol back to the room, just in case. It looked like a welfare hotel...shady looking residents. No apology for hot tub flub!
Sticky TV remote for blurry tube TV; poor and sometimes non-existent WiFi; cigarette burns in frayed blanket (in a non-smoking room); black hairs in shower (not mine). There are 2 buildings; the Inn and Suites building is a little nicer, but the entire place desperately needs substantial renovation.
Clean bedding. Easy access to a restaurant.
Drove by it twice as it has no sign near the road. Carpet near walls dirty. Toilet paper holder missing. Toilet seat loose. Missing one light bulb so only 2 lamps worked. Door chain broken. Missing ironing board. Bathroom fixtures corroded and sink missing stopper.
We went though 3 rooms first was dirty someone slept in the bed second had no curtain and br wa dirty third the door handle fell off of. Awful to get a refund from we left that night and they said well you still have to pay
The room was almost nice...it had potential although that potential was far from realized
The front desk booked a walk in to the same room we already occupied. My husband and I were both indisposd when our door was unlocked and other guests attempted to enter, luckily, I used the bar and they could not enter. Our keys we then deactivated so we made a special trip to make sure they worked again. Upon returning from dinner, our keys did not work and we waited for >30 mins. for the attentant that was supposed to be in the office to let us in. Dirty, couldn't close drapes.
I liked nothing about this hotel except that it had a pool & breakfast. For what you pay & how awful the place is, that's the least they can offer. There is also a fitness room that looks over indoor pool so I could watch my kids swim (they are older). I wa also given a 1st floor room which came with benefots and drawbacks.
The chunk of brown something inside the sheet, human hair on blanket and all over toilet, used toilet paper behind bathroom door, and rude manager. I have called 3 times after being promised a refund and have gotten nothing. It is not convenient to anything except food.
DURING OUR TWO NITE STAY, THE FIRST NITE AT CHECK IN,OUR ROOM WAS NOT MADE UP WHEN WE ARRIVED. ON OUR SECOND NIGHT, AFTER A DAYS SIGHTSEEING, AT 8PM OUR ROOM WAS NOT CLEANED; NOT A WAY TO SHOW HOSPITALITY.
It was inexpensive and "good enough". The room wasn't that bad. Not sparkling clean, just ok. No smoke smells or anything like that. Used the exercise room which was fine.
Wifi didn't work, staircases and hallways in the "motel" part smelled badly. Breakfast wasn't great...I know it's a hotel breakfast, but there were lots of fruit flies hanging around the food. They kept everything covered thankfully, but I just stuck to coffee. It was a cheap place to stay which I needed because I there for work. However, it wasn't great and I stayed other places in the area during the same trip and had better experiences elsewhere for similar cost.
This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Fruit flies covered the breakfast area. No towels available for the pool. The life saving devices were in very poor condition, mold and definatley not useable. Also the fire alarm in the corridor where we were sleeping was going off from 5am until finally a fire truck arrived at 11am!! I didn't know if I was suppose to evacuate and was concerned for the safety of my family. When we first checked in I was aware we had booked the "motel" part of the hotel. Upon entering the room there were dirty socks and it appeared that the floors had not been vacuumed. As I conduct business while away I tried to log into the internet (not working) then I tried to use the phone (broken) I went to the front desk and explained that although I can stay one night in a motel room I need wifi and phone. The woman at the desk stated tht there wifi was not working and that I needed to use the "Belmont" wifi and that was only accessible in the main hotel. They moved us the the main hotel with 2 double beds and a pull out sofa. They ended up charging me the extra, I should not have needed to pay extra as they could not provide te service that they had first guaranteed at booking. I also had to make several trips back and forth as the card keys would not work. I also took several pictures of the facility and room and would like to talk to someone further about this stay. They didn't even offer us a discount!! If a days in Representative could contact me I would appreciate it.
Nice big room...bed and comfortable pillows...clean...decent free breakfast...right off the northway
tube set in room like in other days in lets get with the age of flat screen tvs
The office smelled and the room smelled. I was afraid that the smell would transfer to my clothes the next day because my clothes for work were hanging up on the rack. The smell was outside in the parking lot too by the office.
Not a damn thing
After we checked in and went to our rooms we noticed an awful smell. There was clips of hair behind the beds, dust webs on curtains and walls. The water in the tub ran constantly. When we complained at the front desk they handed us a can of lysol. We used half the can and left to go have dinner when we got back several hours later room still had odor and hotel was fully booked so no place to move us. Not sure how this place keeps there franchise license but I do not recommend this place to anyone.
The fact they signed me into a room I did not reserve, then had to fix it as I showed them my confirmation but wanted to give me a suite. Finally got our room to find it so filthy and dusty , cobwebs and I was afraid to look under the covers the walls were stain splattered and just plain gross!! We went to the front desk got the mgr and she offered a suite for 50$ more ! I said I am not paying that ! its not my fault they have bad cleaning people! Ended up they gave us the suite but I still had to pay $10.00 more . really ? I feel I should be refunded for this stay!! I will never stay there again, in fact will not even consider DaysInn ever again.
There was a dirty, used washcloth in the bathroom and the ice bucket was full of water from a prior customer's visit. The hallways reeked of smoke and I requested a nonsmoking room, but it permeated the building. Won't stay here ever again!!
You were the only hotel left in Albany. The blood stains on bedspread were awful. I put in the corner of the room and it creeped me out the rest of my stay
I didn't like the entire stay. I only sleep at the hotel and am in business.
The pool area needed better up keep!
Room was disgustingly dirty with hair in the tub, hair and dirt on the bathroom floor, inches of dust behind the bedside table. Dirt and hair around toilet and sink. Pool closed for "repair" even though I asked in advance specifically about the pool. Cigarette burn holes in bedspread in our "nonsmoking" room. When asking for directions to popular restaurant, I was asked, "don't you have a GPS?" No food or even coffee in lobby when advertised as a free continental breakfast. There was nothing! Staff was rude and clearly did not want to talk to us. Do not stay there!
