The room was almost nice...it had potential although that potential was far from realized
The front desk booked a walk in to the same room we already occupied. My husband and I were both indisposd when our door was unlocked and other guests attempted to enter, luckily, I used the bar and they could not enter. Our keys we then deactivated so we made a special trip to make sure they worked again. Upon returning from dinner, our keys did not work and we waited for >30 mins. for the attentant that was supposed to be in the office to let us in. Dirty, couldn't close drapes.
DURING OUR TWO NITE STAY, THE FIRST NITE AT CHECK IN,OUR ROOM WAS NOT MADE UP WHEN WE ARRIVED. ON OUR SECOND NIGHT, AFTER A DAYS SIGHTSEEING, AT 8PM OUR ROOM WAS NOT CLEANED; NOT A WAY TO SHOW HOSPITALITY.
It was inexpensive and "good enough". The room wasn't that bad. Not sparkling clean, just ok. No smoke smells or anything like that. Used the exercise room which was fine.
Wifi didn't work, staircases and hallways in the "motel" part smelled badly. Breakfast wasn't great...I know it's a hotel breakfast, but there were lots of fruit flies hanging around the food. They kept everything covered thankfully, but I just stuck to coffee. It was a cheap place to stay which I needed because I there for work. However, it wasn't great and I stayed other places in the area during the same trip and had better experiences elsewhere for similar cost.
Nice big room...bed and comfortable pillows...clean...decent free breakfast...right off the northway
tube set in room like in other days in lets get with the age of flat screen tvs
The office smelled and the room smelled. I was afraid that the smell would transfer to my clothes the next day because my clothes for work were hanging up on the rack. The smell was outside in the parking lot too by the office.
Not a damn thing
After we checked in and went to our rooms we noticed an awful smell. There was clips of hair behind the beds, dust webs on curtains and walls. The water in the tub ran constantly. When we complained at the front desk they handed us a can of lysol. We used half the can and left to go have dinner when we got back several hours later room still had odor and hotel was fully booked so no place to move us. Not sure how this place keeps there franchise license but I do not recommend this place to anyone.
The fact they signed me into a room I did not reserve, then had to fix it as I showed them my confirmation but wanted to give me a suite. Finally got our room to find it so filthy and dusty , cobwebs and I was afraid to look under the covers the walls were stain splattered and just plain gross!! We went to the front desk got the mgr and she offered a suite for 50$ more ! I said I am not paying that ! its not my fault they have bad cleaning people! Ended up they gave us the suite but I still had to pay $10.00 more . really ? I feel I should be refunded for this stay!! I will never stay there again, in fact will not even consider DaysInn ever again.
There was a dirty, used washcloth in the bathroom and the ice bucket was full of water from a prior customer's visit. The hallways reeked of smoke and I requested a nonsmoking room, but it permeated the building. Won't stay here ever again!!
You were the only hotel left in Albany. The blood stains on bedspread were awful. I put in the corner of the room and it creeped me out the rest of my stay
I didn't like the entire stay. I only sleep at the hotel and am in business.
The pool area needed better up keep!
Room was disgustingly dirty with hair in the tub, hair and dirt on the bathroom floor, inches of dust behind the bedside table. Dirt and hair around toilet and sink. Pool closed for "repair" even though I asked in advance specifically about the pool. Cigarette burn holes in bedspread in our "nonsmoking" room. When asking for directions to popular restaurant, I was asked, "don't you have a GPS?" No food or even coffee in lobby when advertised as a free continental breakfast. There was nothing! Staff was rude and clearly did not want to talk to us. Do not stay there!
They allow pets and the breakfast was great. There is a great Mexican restaurant next door.
The staff were unfriendly and not eager to accommodate. The hotel was absolutely disgusting. I had at least 10 cigarette holes in my comforter and the room was dirty. The hot tub was broken. There was glass and liter in the hallways. Absolutely disgusting! If I thought I could get it I would fight for my money back.
Unopened tampon under sink. Used soap & shampoo in shower soap dish. Comforter had several cigarette burns. Sheets were so thin, practically see-thru. Bathroom dingy.
beds not comfortable, noisy a/c, smells, pictures of rooms on advertising were not for the price quoted. tube tv.
Location to the attractions and the price
The room reserved was very dirty and smelled like a cheap fragrance spray to cover up other odors their in the room.We complained and the hotel rented us another room for more money but it was nicer and cleaner than the first. However our experience was not a complete success because their was a loud party taking place next to the room so we complained again to the front desk and they made us give them the room number of the loud guests and they did not quiet down until 430am after the hotel sent someone to speak to them.Overall experience was disappointing
Rough area and dirty, smelly room
Disgusting all away around! And when we decided we would not let our children sleep in such nasty, dirty conditions they refused to give our money back!
our hotel was a quick overnight stop on our way to canada.. we arrived late about 1 am and exhausted,, i used the bathroom as soon as i arrived to find hair on the floor and in the bathtub. It was gross and i have to say, ruined my night and stay. I didn't want to sleep in the bed. Will never stay there again
Buildings looked good from the outside. Bed was comfortable, good sized parking lot.
floor in bath not cleaned or swept, carpets dirty, walls dirty, no coffee or cups in room for coffee maker. No hand soap or shampoo in the bathroom, other guests complained of finding dirty towels on the bath floor when checking in.
I stayed in a king suite. I was nervous at first because the hallway smelled of smoke but the bedroom DID NOT, which I was very pleased about. The room was extremely clean. The breakfast in the morning was good, not many choices but it was very good and started at 6:30am. which was a plus for me.
Wi-Fi connection was terrible. The workers at the front desk were not helpful and pretty much made it seem like it was a burden that I even walked in the door. I was not happy with the customer service at all.
Carpets need replacing
Good location. Near restaurants and Colonie Mall.
Small breakfast area. Front desk employees could use some training.
Check in was extremely efficient. Took less than a minute. Room was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Hard boiled eggs, juice, muffins, and even waffles were available.
Would have liked it if the heavier curtains closed all the way so the light didn't come in in the morning. A couple of additional items such as yogurt would be nice at breakfast. Also the time it was served could be pushed to 7-10 from 6:30 - 9:30 on weekends.
Close to major hwys and restaurants. Get a suite or a room with the interior halls as the rest looks like older motel style. I would recommend a stay if you can get a suite and only for a few nights. This is better then Howard Johnson next door (don't stay there) and looks a bit better then the rest on this strip.
Interior hall building looks to be the better choice but still smells of some smoke on the 3rd floor . The place is beginning to fall apart with rust on light fixers and tables and the cleaning staff need a vacuum that can clean the edge of the carpet. Speaking of which, bring your slippers as the carpet, even in the suite, is dirty and needs deep cleaning.
The location and staff at the desk were friendly.
Our room smelled of urine next to the beds. Loud.. you could hear conversations of people in rooms nearby and outside. The walls were dirty and bathtub/shower was awful. Beds were squeaky and uncomfortable. Top blankets had cigarette burn holes in them. I wasn't happy. The pool was dirty and pool area had boxes in it. I've been to alot of hotels and this was the worst
