The only drawback was that the Max light rail stop was not closer, making luggage transport to and from hotel a little more challenging. And when I called the hotel, the clerk could not tell me which stop was closest, only that it was closer to the Blue Line train.
The room, actually was a suite, was very comfortable and clean. I had a room facing the back wall of a storage unit, with a line of trees on the hotel property. This gave me a very private view, and could lie on my bed or sofa, and watch the leaves glitter in the sun and breeze. This location also gave me quiet from the highway noise. The bed was super comfortable, with a choice of soft or firmer pillows, and nice linens and squishy comforter. There were separate heater/air conditioner units in the bedroom and living room, so I could have different climates in each room. The breakfast was much appreciated, and had hot eggs, bacon, sausage, and cook your own waffles. Black Bear Diner shares the parking lot, so I had my first two meals there, without having to go out for a fatigued traveler. It was 0.7 miles to my seminar location, and easy walk, and many restaurants, shopping, Starbucks, and New Seasons fantastic health food store surrounding.
