La Quinta Inn & Suites San Francisco Airport West    

Had some problems with WiFi. Couldn't dial a free phone number from room. Shuttle from airport has many stops.

Staff were fantastic -room excellent.

Good location -easy to get to airport. Kitchen was nice. Staff was very friendly. Room was spacious.

Was a bit worn looking. Bathroom door was repaired in sloppy way. Towels could be larger.

Ease of getting transportation to and from the airport.

My 4 AM wake-up call consisted of one short ring (less than a second long). No one on the line when I picked up; no follow-up.

The check in area was very nice and staff were very friendly. Pool and spa area clean and accessable

Beds awful, ours leaned down. Room rug, damp almost wet feeling so it made the room smell. Not enough tools in bathroom. Closed breakast to early, should close at 10:00AM

The kitchen was very poorly equipped, my husband is a ceoliac and needs a kitchen and this kitchen fell well short, very little cutlery, pots or pans.

Quite and comfortable. The people there are all very friend and provide me the help.

Very convenient since it is closer to the airport and have shuttle to the airport and can also reach the city by bart.

I smell the dust in the room

Hotel was clean and a good value. Shuttle stop running at midnight and had bad experience with crooked cab driver. Hotel staff was very friendly.

Hotel shuttle service not available. Pool in need of repairs.

It was ok for a one night stop over to get over jet lag.

Didn't stay there long enough to give a negative comment.

We loved our stay at the hotel, we had a big room with king size bed, a sitting room area and a fully equipped kitchen (oven, fridge, dishwasher, cooking rings, pans/cutlery...). Wifi is free and had a good connection, lovely garden around the pool area, small but neat gym. Breakfast was good althought we nearly didnt have any because we got there at 9:30 not realising that it was served only until 9:00, however the breakfast lady very kindly let us in the room and we could eat while she tidied up. Special mention to her, she saved the day for us by being so kind and understanding! The location for us was great as we were taking the plane the day after (only 6 km from sfo) although I would also recommend this place for people who want to visit San Francisco and don't necessarily want to stay in the town, it is not far from the bart public transport. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel.

Breakfast should be served until 9:30 at weekends to accommodate people on holidays like us who don't necessarily want to rush to get ready before 9:00. ( especially with children).

The idea of close to the airport with internet in the room included.

It took 30 minutes on the shuttle from the airport. I chose "close to airport" so I would not have to get up so early for a sunrise flight. The shuttle stop.s at three places. There was one employee at the front desk and the guests in front of me had a problem. I stood, at midnight, waiting for them to be resolved, before I could check in. When I got to my room the phone didn't work, and the internet didn't work. I called twice before someone figured out they had not "turned it on". By now it is nearly 1 and I have to get up at 3:30.

I loved this place, I just wish I had more time to spend in it. the staff were tremendous and I highly recommend this place. thanks for the great service anf facilities!

Low water pressure in shower. No soap dish in shower. Frig did not cool well.

My wife and I needed a hotel to stay in overnight near sfo after arriving from Sydney as we had an early morning connecting flight to Cancun. We decided on the La Quinta based on good reviews in this forum, proximity to sfo and free in-room WiFi. In addition, a hotel shuttle provides regular service to and from sfo with a short 10 min trip. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel pleasant enough. The room (Rm 123) we had located on the ground floor was basic, but clean and provided coffee and tea making amenities, a bar fridge and an older style analogue tv. Otherwise, the price was good and for our purposes La Quinta did the job.

Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of noise throughout the night due to some sort of compressor located near by (perhaps the ice-machine as we could hear people collecting ice into buckets) that switched on and off regularly. Also, there was a path immediately outside the room which was rather noisy with arriving and departing guests into the wee hours of the morning. Therefore, we would not recommend the ground floor rooms at this hotel.

The staff were very attentive. My room was immaculate and vomfortable. I was very impressed. Breakfast was excellent and there was a variety of items to choose from. My stay was 10 times better than where i have stayed in san francisco.

Tthere was nothing i didnt like.

Unsure how easy it is to get into downtown SF w/o a car.

Shower in the handicapped room got all over the floor (a huge amount). We didn't need handicapped room--this was apparently all they had. Water on the floor could be a slipping hazard for a handicapped person as well as a non handicapped person.
