Dominique at the front desk made me feel welcomed. She took a personal interest in me, my comforts, and my purpose of travel. Also, she Was very cheerful and enthusiastic. Several amenities would draw me back but she by far was the best asset.
Internet was unpredictable and kept dropping.
Our stay was comfortable
Room had a little bit of a smell
The beds were very comfortable and I liked the fact that the pillow slips had whether they were firm or soft monagrammed on them. I also liked that the bathroom had a fan.
There were several pots of coffee, but all but one were empty. Then when I took a drink of the coffee I was finally able to get, the coffee was cold. This was between 9 and 10. Otherwise, the food was pretty good.
People were pleasant and the motel was clean. Nice little kitchen area.
Air conditioner did not work very good. Pillows were to plump woke up with a crook in my neck.
Proximity to Edgefield, great breakfast, comfortable beds, and pleasant staff.
No outside pool.
closeness of Shari's restaurant..
truck stop depot of some kind next door noise didn't subside til midnite ..not that bad just had to keep windows shut..
Good location off the highway; staff were efficient and courteous; wifi connection was simple and fast.
This is a common problem at chain hotels, but the air quality was quite poor due to the cleaning chemicals used and the lack of air circulation/ventilation. The window barely opened in our room, so we couldn't adjust this on our own. This should only happen at budget-rate hotels, which this Holiday Inn was not.
I didn't like that booking.com advertised an executive room as a room with two queen beds and microwave and fridge, yet it had none of the above. Also there were spiders daily in my room. Gross!!!! Otherwise the room was OK.
Clean, roomy, updated, close to highway, shopping, and restaurants. A little difficult to see the sign, and tucked back off a frontage road. You have to look for it, but nice place.
Access is a little strange, as you have to circle around, a little difficult to see.
The day before, I received a call from Marisa asking if I was in need of anything before my visit. I have NEVER received a call from a property manager or staff asking about my needs before a stay. Kudos to Marisa and staff!
Clean room, good coffee
Bathroom fan was loud
Bathroom worn, just has not been kept up
Customer service and friendly staff.
The pillows were good. Love the Pancake making machine at breakfast. The staff taking care of breakfast was delightful. The room was clean.
The air conditioning and heating unit was very noisy....it loudly vibrated every time it came on and was disruptive to sleep. There was not a trash can at the bathroom sink. We reserved an Executive King but were given a regular King room. The wifi was hard to connect to and not consistent. The bed was very hard and not all that comfortable. Being right next to the train track has it disadvantages. The reception desk clerk in the morning was difficult to understand. Would have been nice if there had been four towels in the bathroom. The Yoplait yogurt at breakfast would have been better if it had been Yoplait Greek Activa. Overall we would not stay at this Holiday Inn Express again. We stay at Holiday Inn Express regularly when traveling and the one we stayed at in West Vancouver (?) was a better value for the money and we paid the same price.
Front desk staff was awesome.
