Easy to get into the city for basketball game that evening, and the ribs restaurant 2 doors down was great.
Our room number had fallen off, the drink machine on our floor was in the hallway and turned around facing the wall - obviously broken. Our friends stayed across the hallway and the lock on their door was almost falling off. The lift opened before coming to a complete stop, and a beggar was hanging around the front door of the hotel and asked us for money as we walked out to get dinner.
They do not display particular res. I did not end up staying.
The staff,comfort of bed,
As always I enjoy the free WiFi I also enjoy the location and free parking the staff is always very nice and courteous and the breakfast is always wonderful
I like to walk so a 25min stroll to the State Capitol and my Downtown adventures was perfect for me. Check-in was very quick and easy and also very cosy as it was cold outside. I always welcome free Wi-Fi and parking plus the room was large, clean and comfortable. There is a BBQ/Sports Bar close by for some good food (Menu in room) Close to on and off ramp to the I85. Value for $$ I would stay again.
The only thing we liked about staying at the hotel was being close to downtown.Everything we had plan for our weekend was downtown so not being only a mile or two was great for us.
Well, where do I start? First, I called to check on our reservation to make sure everything was in order, ready for our arrival, and to let the front desk know that we would check in later in the evening. The first time I called the lady didn't even ask for my name when I asked if I had a reservation. She just responded "Yes, you have one." and then hung up. So I called back an hour later to ask again. When we arrived at the hotel and checked in the front desk lady informs us that we do not have keys to our room and that she would have to escort us to and from our room until the key machine is fixed. When I asked her when would it be fixed she saI'd I don't know in a very rude voice. By this time I was tired, sleepy and mad due to the lack of professionalism by the staff and manager. So the next morning they gave us 1 key and said they didn't know our keys were already made prior to the machine being broken last night. The bathroom was disgusting. The tub had not been clean in who knows how long. The room looked like no one had been in there in weeks and it had not been cleaned good from the last persons stay. Sunday morning we noticed water in the floor and had no clue where it came from. We told staff but nothing was done. The kitchen staff was rude. I had to ask for napkins, cream cheese, and orange juice. When I asked one of the kitchen workers she rudely stated "I'm breaking down breakfast and we don't have anymore for the day." I just looked at her and stated "That has nothing to do with me. May I have some napkins, cream cheese and orange juice? You still have 10 minutes left before breakfast is over." I'm so glad our stay is over and I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Price was decent; breakfast was very good except they couldn't keep things stocked fast enough (i.e., no cups for juice - had to use a cup from the waffle machine area; milk machine either ran out or broke - they had to bring out a pitcher of milk).
Took too long to ck in at desk even w/reservation - staff not very friendly; we reserved two rms - in one room the air conditioner/heater didn't wk - moved us to another rm the 2d night; hair dryer in the other rm we reserved didn't work - made terrible noise and even sparked; TV remote in same rm wldn't change channels - you had to punch in every channel; WIFI didn't work very well either - TV kept blinking out. Bathrm door in same room was crooked and made a terrible scraping noise when you tried to close it and then it wld stick. Coffee in lobby was very weak - like clear brown water. Also, this was a smoke-free hotel but someone had been smoking on the floor we were on and you cld smell it when you got off the elevator. We came back from dinner to see a ventilator plugged in right next to our room! In addition, there was a very loud heated argument with yelling a couple of rooms down and we had to call the front desk. the elevators didn't work very well either...wld open before it hit the floor and jump; or it would go to other floors that you didn't select. Wld not stay there again.
The facility was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable.
Area was in a bad part of the city and I wish it had been rated as such. Things we experienced: heard lots of sirens outside at night, screams down the hall from us during the night, doors of elevator opening to 2 girls standing in lingerie (Complete with bare butts and thongs), police in bullet proof vests walking the halls and helping us to our room. I wish I was making this up but unfortunately I'm not. Like I was saying I wish I had seen a rating on the part of town this hotel was in.
The beds were really comfortable the free breakfast was nice.
Two old squeaky elevators, the room smelled of mold, the bathroom was a bit outdated. Also the picture of the outside o the hotel is actually not Grant Park but Country Inn.
Location was great, close to everything. Great deal, free parking, free wifi and free breakfast. Breakfast staff super friendly.
Remodeling was going on, only one elevator working and several bulbs were burned out in our room when we arrived.
The Marta bus stop is right outside of the hotel which was very convenient to catch a ride to the GA Dome.
The elevator was jerky and a little scary.the hotel is hard to find because of blocked streets at Turner Field, and the sign has not been changed at the hotel.
I like the fact your facility was just down the street from where my training site was located.
I didn't like the fact that the 1st room we were assigned to was supposed to be a non-smoking room but the minute we opened the door we could smell the stale smoke. The bathtub didn't appear to be clean. There was a greasy ring in the bathtub and body hair.
The size of the room Location Nice staff Excellent breakfast shower allowed a late checkout bus stop right outside hotel
wifi is awful not a very busy hotel
Not a lot
Location - nothing there, dated, lifts in need of refurbishment, grubby looking, hotel, advertised as Grant Park but actually a Comfort Inn, breakfast was awful - not replenished, food not good quality. Room not serviced even though we requested service.
staff was friendly clean room nice breakfast
elevator got stuck for about 15 sec started up on its own .....scarey
I was very pleased with the rooms staff and service. Its cost efficient, very convenient to get to a lot of different venues!
The staff was friendly and welcoming as I came to then slightly distressed after missing my flight. Wifi was exceptional. The bed was a comfortable relief after my stressful day and the breakfast was perfect for a quick and easy meal before checking out and starting my day.
Price & bed ++
Far from everything
Elevator needed repair.
really don't have anything nice to say
there was an empty bag in the room. used soap was in the shower and a shower cap was hanging behind the door on the door knob. could not sleep because people were out in the hallway making all kind of noise. next year I will stay at the country inn. next door
The hotel has gone under some remodeling, some areas still need attention but overall it was a good value for the money. We were in town for the Hot Chocolate Run and the proximity to the start was great. We will stay again next year as long as the price stays reasonable
Elevator was a little shaky and the grout in bathroom could be redone. Halls had a little stale smoke smell but the hotel is now smoke free.
just about everything
my credit card was charged one night as a no show even though I was there and my brother paid the room in cash
Easy to go to city centre by Bus. All facilities are excellent!
Even though Turner Field Stadium and the bus stop are right in front of the hotel, it is difficult to go out at night using the public transport.
I like the breakfast The free W-Fi Is was nice
The room down the hall was smoke out & I had student that didn't need to be around that
Location(was very close to the start of my race) Price
Wifi was very sketchy
