Nothing very much
Coach party hotel Poor breakfast arrangements Generally not that cheap for its facilities Baldly located for the access to the central area.
West Gate Hotel at Yellowstone was clean and all staff members were very helpful. Loved the breakfast offerings and loved the lady manning the breakfast area.
The comfort and staff, took care of a long hard work week. I would recommended a stay and a soak in the hot tub. What a great bunch of people who take care of all your needs! They all need a raise!
Nothing, don't change a thing we will be back ! All the other reviews I believe were a little on the lite side, as we had a wonderful stay and anytime we needed something from the staff they went out of their way to make sure we were helped . To this I say Thank YOU!
liked the location, the staff, the room
thin walls, heard people upstairs walking around, heard the phone next door and people talking, heard the elevator dinging. We were right next to the elevator
Staff were friendly,.
No bacon for breakfast, only hard boiled eggs, guess we were too late!
Hotel was in a fairly good locstion
Room was very drab. Air conditioning was off even though it was hot during night. Breakfast basic when I asked for English Tea I was told they only had it at the other hotel. Room carpets could have been cleaner. Laundry was expensive. Hotel was very ordinary and overpriced.
The room was well appointed and clean. The hotel is close to Yellowstone.
We stayed at the hotel for two nights. When we returned from the first day at the Yellowstone park we found are bedroom left unlocked, by the cleaner, on reporting the incident to the desk staff she replied "they don't normally do that" !.( Please bare in mind they don't have a security box in the room or lobby ). The second incident was the next morning, which has really upset my wife. At 8.30am we loaded are bags into the car to leave for are next destination, from the side door. Before I checked out my wife wanted to use the toilet in our room, ( which is ours until 11.00 ) Only to find when she was sitting on the toilet a man entered our room and she had to shout to tell him to get out. Again I went to see the desk staff to complain only to be told "they would have knocked" I replied she didn't hear over the extractor if they did. I also asked why would they enter my room before I checked out, by handing my key cards in and closing my account. They could not answer that question. I have asked the management to contact me but they have just ignored my request.
For our purposes (JUST getting a good night's sleep), the location was great - WAY at the edge of town and very quiet.
For a longer stay, a more central location might be preferable.
Westgate is a really nice place. Hotel has everything you need.
It is a bit expensive but reasonable because it is really close to Yellowstone National Park
Friendly staff. Good location.
Rude chinese guests
Big comfortable rooms. Pool and Spa. Very friendly staff.
Plastic knives and forks at breakfast.
West Yellowstone is a great place to stay to visit Yellowstone National Park as it is adjacent to the western entrance to the park.
The staff make this a great place to stay. Housekeeping makes sure you never run out of anything. Rooms very clean. Mary Lou in the breakfast room, has a friendly smile and keeps everything full and clean. Reception is helpful and professional.
On the edge of town, so a little longer walk (5-6 blocks) to most restaurants and other services but that's very minor and actually better for your health!
Nothing wrong with the room. Staff were friendly.
Breakfast room was a little small, mind you we shared tables and met and talked to different people because of this. Expensive but then it is Yellowstone.
Bed, Quiet Location
Location --- mid point to yellow stone park .Free breakfast which saves time in morning -- Mary Lou who took care of the breakfast was the best--- She made sure the area was well stocked food wise and clean.. Staff was very friendly .
rooms were average for the price.
Check in time is too late. Check out time is too early.
Clean rooms and bathrooms. Friendly helpful staff.
location near west gate of yellowstone room is big and clean breakfast is ok
I've traveled the world, and I can frankly say that every single staff member I've ran into especially front desk (who helped me plan the Yellowstone trip with my kids in mind), offered complimentary aspirin when I called down at 3 AM to see if I can buy any because mine were left inside another suitcase in the car, the gentleman simply said no worries ma'am, I have a first aid bag right here, please come down and I'll see what I can get you. Rooms were really clean; spotless, like they really clean every crevice in it. Last but not least, LOCATION! This place is literally 3 turns and 3 minutes away from the park. You pay a little extra for the small rooms but savings in time to get to the park is well worthed. After a long day of activities in the park with my kids, remember you still have to drive at least 30-45 minutes just to get out of the park, so you grab a bite to eat. I can't imagine staying near the south gate in Jackson, where you literally have to drive 1 hour + just to get to the gate.
Breakfast is free but be prepared to taste eggs from a bag heated in the microwave. We had it for 2 mornings and decided the rest of our stay that we just have to head out to grab a bite to eat.
i like almost everything of here, especialy good breakfast and nice service.
West Yellowstone is pretty much of a tourist trap. We got up early, went I to the park and returned late. The continental breakfast was so so and we ended up going to a nearby breakfast spot. I think this motel is as good as any of them which isn't a ringing endorsement.
clean and safe
Charged me $250 for an $80 room.
