The drive to Johnson City is beautiful in the fall, plenty of restaurants and shopping, right off I 26, and just a few miles past I 81. Traveling on down I 26 there is some of the most beautiful mountain scenery you will see , foothill of the Smokies

Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly.
Bathtub was slick. No mat.
Way too much furniture. Had 2 beds, but not enough room for 2 people plus their luggage.
Didn't have a microwave. Had to call and they had to find one in an empty room and bring it to us.
Wifi didn't work and staff couldn't get it to work. Said we were too far from the main office.

Cool little city with a lot of charm and great places to eat! Definitely check out TIMBER! Its a walk-able place with nice parks and plenty of free parking which is not always the case in a college town.

The room had been updated and was so nice.
The room had been updated and was so nice. The pool was closed for repair but I didn't see any repair going on. I would be surprised if it is even opened. Ice machine on our floor was not working and looked like it hadn't for a while. Very inconvenient for people our age.
Lets start, the staff was AWESOME, went beyond. Super smooth check-in and check-out. The hotel sits between two restaurants. We felt uneasy with the waffle house next door, because you know that is an all night restaurants and you gonna get crowds and crazy people all night long. Thank goodness our room was on the other side not facing the waffle house. The parking is tight. Room was not up to par with a 'Hilton" disappointed with what we paid for the room. Disappointed in the cleanliness all around at this hotel.
Clean room near,smStory Telling, and historic Tipton property, airport Trixcity, not Knoxville.. missed no hours dryer,(had to walk to office,, to borrow) ,room too small for that expected table and 2 chairs out have..missed even a small cont. Free breakfast( why not fresh fruit, muffins to go box ? The coffee was good,and,avaikable...I realize no lobby room for tables and rooms too small for sitting area...so the reasonable rate, and friendly service provided us,just what we needed!
It was very clean and accomodating. We stayed at a diff hotel last time we was in Johnson City which we paid more for but this one was way better than that one. Only complaint I have was the smell of weed in our room which cause me to have a panic attack an sick to my stomach. which isn't the hotels fault but guest staying there. They have up no smoking signs but of course people don't obied by them, so def not holding that against the hotel. We would stay here again.
Went to see some family over Thanksgiving holiday. Stayed in Johnson City , centrally located where every one lives, also close to area we wanted to site see. Great location, awesome, friendly staff. The staff even had like a small Thanksgiving feast in the breakfast area. They also had a fountain drink machine on site in the breakfast area which was a first for us to have @ our hotel & also a huge PLUS .
We stayed in one of the king rooms. It had a comfy bed, the sheets were good quality and each of us had a soft and firm pillow option. The bathroom was roomy. We loved the restaurant/Wellington's) we had an excellent dinner and breakfast. Just a note the sides are definitely sharable! We wish our stay was longer - this was a beautiful hotel and an extremely good value.
I loved the mini waffles and the REAL butter even the coffee was good and I almost never drink hotel coffee. I always make a trip to Starbucks but the hotel coffee was fine for me. I loved the fluffy pillows - I actually dreamed I was sleeping on a cloud. The bed was comfortable. The BEST thing about this hotel was Jeremiah. He was wonderful.
I have traveled all over the world and Carnegie Hotel is right up there with the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Everything was exceptional from my room to the bar and restaurant. Only complaint is the parking lot offers few spaces for clients. Great location and the prices were competitive.
Actually i booked through booking.com, but when i went there i didnt see the reservation and also without accomodation my card has been charged twice. Unfortunately i have to book it again at the hotel. However i didnt get my money refunded by booking.com even after multiple emails or calls.
I chose this over a more expensive hotel and was the best decision I made!! Couldn’t fault it, room was very comfy, good size and best value for money ever. Great location, felt safe and staff all friendly. For a family stay or just on your own it’s a great choice.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful. The hotel itself is beautiful. I enjoyed my stay! And the dinner at the restaurant was equally as pleasing. Thank you for assisting me with the parking of my small horse trailer.
Overall stay was pretty nice, the view outside of the room (front of the hotel) was pretty scenic and relaxing. Everything about the hotel was an enjoyable stay with a bathtub.
Was a little worried because the price was lower than everything else but was pleasantly surprised to find a very nice room ,comfortable bed overall very nice hotel
The breakfast was excellent. By far the best complimentary breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. The rooms and hotel common areas were all very clean and updated.
