Score from 591 reviews Wonderful
Excellent location for visitors for shopping, restaurants, entertainment, etc. Staff were very pleasant. Liked view of Michigan Ave.
Bathroom very small, inconvenient. Stood in six inches of water when my shower was over. Hard to load and unload when checking in/out as there is no place to temporarily park car.
You can walk, Take a cta bus, taxi, electric train or metro (train)
The bed is too soft
Everything except the breakfast.
we thought the suites were very good. As travelers wonderful to have laundry facilities in your room. Wish there was more of this or even laundry facility in the hotel. Staff very helpful Thank You.
The hotel is situated in a good local and size of the room is also good and especially for a family of 3-4 people. The staffs are helpfull.
The air-conditioner is quite noisy and they should make a improvement on it.
The room had a dinette and separate tv in the bedroom. The free hot breakfast. Great location in a safe area.
The tub was clogged. The hallway outside our room had a strange odor.
Good location and helpful staff . the apartment is clean and good in size.
The break fast very poor not enough space to accommodate all the guest they opened the meeting room to have break fast on the meeting room table . regarding the room they should have extra door for the bed room for more privacy .
Breakfast ends too early at 9.00am for leisure visitors. The breakfast room is too small for the number of people using it and the food and coffee etc is removed too soon after 9.00am
The staff was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction when we had questions; the food was good; and the rooms were comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
The rooms could use a few updates - at the very least, they need to make the bathtub more accessible. There are no bars or any other method for handicap access. The closet doors either stuck or were off the track.
Directly in Chicago Loop is great: front desk customer service is the best
Need alot of cosmetic work throughout the hotel. Alot of nicks and stretches in the room and loddy. A washer & dryer in our bedroom is so odd.
The value was the main attraction to this hotel. The beds were comfortable and our family had plenty of room. Plus there was a free breakfast.
We had black mold growing in our bathroom. The hotel itself is very narrow and some what clautrophobic but the rooms are great size once you get to them.
The location at the hotel; the suite was very nice and the breakfast was equally good.
The room rate was high
Location, 24 hour helpful reception, great facilities in suites, room cleaned each day, view from suite, good breakfast.
Drafty by bed even after air con turned off.
The staff was very helpful, kind and considerate, they helped us in every way they could. Also, the location was excellent.
The sofabed was very uncomfortable. The air conditioning made annoying sounds. The bathroom was not clean when we arrived. The kitchen supplements were incomplete. The hallway smelled HORRIBLE. The number of seats in the breakfast area was not enough for all the guests, we had to eat upstairs. Also, breakfasts hours were not friendly at all (6-9 am). There were two elevators for the guests and the cleaning staff, obviously was a chaos, specially during breakfast hours. One of the elevators didn't work for a whole morning and in the afternoon, when we were leaving, we got stuck in it.
no pool...slow elevators fair breakfast
Terrific location. Half block south of the river on Michigan Avenue. Three blocks from red line and the loop 'Ls. Five blocks (a little over 1/2 mile) from the Blue line that connects you to O'Hare airport). Buses to everywhere half a block away. Only 4 rooms per floor, so every room is a corner room. Upper floors on the NW corner have a great view of the Chicago River, Wacker Dr, Mich Ave., and the wonderful architecture of nearby skyscrapers. Excellent soundproofing. City sounds are minimal to non-existent, and we never heard a peep from the elevators or the neighboring rooms. The beds are super comfortable, the breakfast has good hot and cold foods. Coffee is always available. There is a washer and dryer - very important for those who travel with carry-on only. Very fast WiFi.
Would have liked dish soap and sponge in kitchen. Perhaps we could have requested these things, but as we stayed only 3 nights, this was not essential.
The size & the location
The bathroom too small for otherwise big suite
Room itself was great - exactly as described.. Almost all the staff were really friendly and very helpful (one was not when we arrived to try check in slightly earlier than the 3pm time they give.. But he was the only rude staff member and everyone else was great)
The breakfast that is included was way below the standards we were expecting for paying the price we did.. The area where food is served is TINY compared to the size of the hotel itself, with limited seats available and queues for every food item.. Plastic cutlery was also useless and cheap. The hallway outside our room smelled like damp, but once in the room was fine. The 3pm check in time is also not the most convenient.
The corridors had a very bad odor, the plaster was peeling from the ceiling, the dead bolt door locks were useless and the shower had very little pressure.
Close to all we wanted to do.
Hall way to elevator narrow and congested. Breakfast room small.
Staff attitude and response to complains.
Hotels inability to make room change as requested and no reduction in cost despite that one of the rooms given to us was low grade. And too much tax please.
very comfort apartment location service
Everything was Ok.
Live about 45 minutes away in Valparaiso. Took kids 12 and 13 for sushi and Billy Joel concert. Midnight snack at Phillys best on Belmont (our old hood!) Great value!
