Noisy with other partys
I do not understand the 8 percent "service charge" attached to the bill (on top of taxes). Service charge for what? That just artificially inflates the initially quoted price. There was a group of kids from the United Kingdom staying in the Inn during our stay. One of the front desk attendants was plainly rude to those kids (sat. April 11th afternoon shift). One could clearly hear her loudly voiced question "how can I help you, PEOPLE??!!!?" repeated over and over again. After the seventh repetition I left the lobby area cringing. Since we stayed on a special (a special offer) the breakfast -- which started too late for us, anyway -- was not included.
Certainly table with coffiee and tea available 24 hours a day is a huge plus (especially for those who need to leave before the breakfast starts). The added benefit is the presence of a toaster and a microwave. Home made cookies in the afternoon, with some lemonade, are a great touch, especially to a kid who spent the whole day on the slopes ski racing.
Clean, nice hot tub, bar & food service
It was very dirty. IT had hair all over The place. Never going back there
Location was ok
Wifi was slow and intermittent
Clean and comfortable
Staff on reception could not provide me with a printed bill. WIFI slow.
Value for money. Free Shuttle bus to mountain & restaurants. Near to Stowe mountain for skiing. Bar food.
I waited a long time for help at the front desk. It felt like I had stumbled into a retirement community--everyone in the lobby was older and seemed to know one another.
The room was clean and the location convenient.
Decor needs updating, rooms were a bit dark, bed and pillows were a bit hard for my liking and bed covers looked worned.
Warm pool and hot jacuzzi in midst of winter, friendly staff, having restaurant in house with affordable breakfast, free WiFi in room, warm rooms in winter, showers that worked and were clean, baked cookies in the evening, close proximity to town center, location next to ski and snow equipment rental location.
We did not get the room we booked and were not helped very well at reception. The hotel is old fashioned and needs updating. The breakfast is okay, but not many healthy options.
Four of us ate in the restraunt .dinner was not good . Only one person liked there meal and she only had salad. The weakend breakfast beffet was good not much verity
The place is a little dated . It is clean the pool and the hottub are well kept . Good value for the money
Great place to stay for skiing. Breakfast great.
The inn is comfortable and cozy, perfect for families. Excellent location, ski friendly, nice pool room and hot tubs for après ski.
Very close to Stowe mt
Pool heater broke so pool couldn't be used. Some of the Front desk staff, while friendly seemed uninformed.
They bake cookies and put in the lobby hot and fresh every afternoon. They have games and tables for sitting and playing with family and friends. Lobby had big television with a fireplace for watching and visiting. Family friendly.
Needs new linens and bedding curtains. Inexpensive but not worth it.
Very nicely run hotel in Stowe. Love the cookies in the afternoon!
Breakfast was sustenance only but fine for six dollars and included eggs and bacon. Pool and hot tub looked cloudy and either heavily chlorinated or not clean. We didn't go in.
This older property was clean and convenient to Stowe. Family feel, dogs running free which was nice Family friendly living room and fireplace complete with in progress puzzle. In hotel bar was convenient though empty.
The decor in the rooms is a bit dated, and we had to go to the front desk to obtain a hair dryer. The TV is circa 1970, and needs updating.
I've stayed here before, and find that the staff friendly and helpful, and it is welcoming to have the fireplace lit and fresh cookies in the lobby. Having a fridge in the room was helpful, as we were visiting family in town and brought goodies that needed refrigeration.
told food available ,when arrived told restaurant closed.
The indoor heated pool was 40 degrees. None of the the hot tubs were working. The pool table along with other games in the rec area were also broken.
The best part about that place was the bar.
Courteous staff Nice facilities Great location
Dinginess of rooms, bathroom tub had burn marks and rust stains from previous guests' items, sink cracked and fading, carpet worn, water damage stains on ceiling throughout room, heat didn't work, no safety latch/lock on doors, dated decor, no on demand movies, lampshades stained or dingy. Guests downscale and sketchy. Unruly kuds running up and down hallways late at night and early in morning. Had cheap motel feel
Good location, low rates, coffee available all day in lobby, homey lobby area, good tv in room, refrigerator, large room size
Staff were poor maybe it was the end of season effect. They were not really interested in wether you were there or not as long as you tipped them
Easy to find .Food OK
warm welcome from receptionist , complimentary juice and cookies also coffee all the time . Good value food in bar area with friendly barman .
The bathroom was desperately in need of a refurbishment, whilst it was clean there was in ground dirty staining on the none slip shower area. Games room, gym, sauna and hot tub areas drab and games machines, gym equipment and 2 hot tubs not working.Sauna in separate area to pool quite a hike down main corridor in your towel ! Also broken tiles around step rails of pool and rails unstable. All these facilities close at 10 and we were asked to leave the games room at 9.45 one night in the middle of a game of pool ! The member of staff was persuaded to let us finish our game. Another hour on all of these facilities would be very welcome, teenagers do not like to go to their beds by 10. This with proper upkeep of all areas could be a wonderful place.
Loved the restaurant, the chef and waiter Paul in particular were excellent. Food fantastic service perfect. Lake, surroundings and location great for local sights. Room comfortable, adequate. Parking free. Nice communal lounge area with TV. All staff including domestic very pleasant and accommodating thank you.Outdoor pool nice once you get over the shock of the cold water. We really did enjoy our stay here.
