Size of the room, great location. Charming brownstone house.
nice location in the heart of the city easily available for shops
mattress sheet was not clean. daily cleaning of sanitation service was not ideal, (bath cabin,Toilet). WiFi was not easily available
Great location. Quiet room with a street view. Friendly staff.
Great location, friendly staff, clean.
Was visiting during end of July when the weather was warm and humid, and the room was also humid despite air condition.
Ambience , individuality , small quaint place , let's one enjoy the local pace of life.
Lack of ingredients for tea / coffee in room ... Kitchenette is there , but this much van also be provided for
Very dull.. Feels like a hostel and not an hotel.. Very narrow and doesn't feel fresh and not well aireated
Our room was newly renovated with a modern kitchen and bathroom. The main area still had its old charm with beautiful dark wood surrounding an old fireplace. Had great air conditioning. There were great restaurants, music, and stores around the corner. It was an easy walk to downtown and the trains.
It is difficult to park close. We did find a ramp on the next street that charged $30 a day. We really didn't need the car to get around. The train system is easy and it is a city conducive to walking.
Location was phenomenal
Bed, bathroom a bit in poor shape
Decor, location, quietness,
Location, room interier.
Very poor wifi in the room, absent on the table, a bit better closer to the door. Towels changed didn't look realy fresh.
Too expensive during high season.
Noisy - walls are thin, small kids staying in next room
The only good thing about this place is the location.
Do not bring your children here. Screens do not fit the window, sheets do not fit the bed, bed is older than you want to imagine, the carpet and bathroom are disgusting. The day we checked in, we considered leaving. But time was not on our side. So, we bought a can a lysol and went to town on our room. The internet kicks us off line every 5 - 15 minutes, which was pretty annoying but not the worst of things. When our toilet over flowed, my boyfriend soaked up the urine and feces with towels and called for housekeeping. When housekeeping arrived (without a bucket of bleach or any disinfectant) she wiped the already sopping wet towels over the bathroom floor and placed them outside our room, on the carpet. She actually said "it's clean" when there was clearly feces on the bathroom floor. This was before noon. I was back at the room at 615 and the pile of urine stained, feces soaked towels were in the exact same place. Of course, not one staff member was available at that time. So, I brought the towels down to the front office and tossed them in front the office door. When I left at 830 the following morning, they were still there. All that bacteria had been soaking into the carpet, in an area with zero air flow (air conditioning is only in rooms) I would bet money those towels were washed with basic detergent and put back into rotation. I called the owners of the building and left a message. Nobody called me back. THEN - the cleaning lady tried to step to us. She said we should have told her to "spray" and that the bathroom was clean anyway. She was upset that we called and complained. SERIOUSLY???!!! This all happened two days before check out. Upon check out, we confronted the nice young girl at he front desk. She agreed with us, but of course, could do nothing but pass along the information.
Absolutely great location! Kitchen is good.
Pretty old hotel with old facilities and smell. Internet keeps losing (needs to log on every 20-30 minutes).
I was very happy to get a room at the last minute. The check-in process was quick and easy. The Hostess was very nice. This classic historic building is beautiful inside and out. The rooms are clean and bright, with kitchen sink, coffee maker and flat ware/supplies, modern bathroom and flat screen TV. Check-out was simple - just leave the key and exit.
I would have liked a little supply of coffee, since I had everything to make coffee except the coffee. Otherwise, I can't think of a thing.
Excellent location, 5 minutes from the airport shuttle, close to shops and subway. Staff was helpful and the room was satisfactory.
Fridge was noisy.
Do'nt stay there at any way
Spacious room, big windows, kitchen, comfortable bed. The hotel is in a great location.
Room was smelly.
Lack of lifts Indifferent staff "Rabbit-warren" interior Cramped space in room - e.g. double bed in a corner
Location was excellent! Room was small but adequate!
No AC in hallways!
Clean and decent
Staff not that great...rooms very small and expensive ...
I liked that is was only 2 blocks from the tram station and it was easy to find. I thought the rooms were cute, clean, and funcctional.
Perfect location, close to subway line, and short walk from Fenway. I just parked at parking garage under the Hynes Center, it was $40 for 24 hours.
