The decor, the height of the ceilings and room doors. A very nice touch. The room was neat, comfy and inviting.
Room was very comfortable
Helpful, pleasant staff Clean Nice towels and bedding
Only minor complaint was that carpeting dark and maybe slightly grimy - although not sure about latter because I never go barefoot in hotels
Wonderful Staff... Accommodations Excellent!!! Breakfast kosher and healthy... Cookies @ check in desk was my friends favorite!!!
I have no complaints... Will definitely stay again....
Great hotel and excellent staff. Everything spotless and comfortable
Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Very nice warm breakfast with choice of cold and hot cereals, eggs, raw veggies, cheese, breakfast meats. Good coffee, both at breakfast and in room. Secure parking extra $10/night, but the hotel let us keep our car there the whole day of our checkout so we could take cabs to and from our meeting in Dumbo and not have to worry about parking. Rooms attractively furnished with eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner and soaps and very clean everywhere. Can't say much about neighborhood amenities or eating places because we were there only one night and ate where we did business in Dumbo. But we will stay again next time we go to Brooklyn for business because the Condor gives great value--comfortable, clean and attractive accommodations, free wireless, warm breakfast and good coffee to get us on our way, and friendly service -- for the money.
Compared to similarly priced hotel rooms in the Brooklyn area this room was far bigger, there space to walk around the beds. The bathroom was nicely appointed.
Rooms were nice. They do have parking, except you have to drive around the block, it was 2:45am and I was having issues trying to get out of the parking lot, the pedestrian door was stuck it was freezing, about 20 mins later I finally got out.....the front desk person NEVER checked on what happened to me for all that time, and didn't seem to care when I finally came in...as a single traveler this is disturbing. At least have a camera so they could see if everything is okay
I was stuck in traffic for over 90 mins. trying to get there. I needed to be checked in, changed, & off to a Wedding I was in! When I called to say that I had to cancel, I would use someone else's room to change, I was treated rudely, told I would still have to pay. I had to rearrange my day. I missed the "reveal" of my niece, because the staff person was not interested in assisting me. Then when I arrived NO ONE mentioned that I would have to place the room key in a slot to use the lights in the room...it took me awhile to figure this out....
The staff were really accommodating, having asked for a quiet room we were given an upgrade to a suite on the top floor. Lovely bedroom (massive bed!), bathroom (working jacuzzi bath) and with a balcony (albeit currently with no furniture which is set to change apparently) this hotel is a great choice for anyone wanting to explore Brooklyn, equally easy to get over to Manhattan either on the subway or the east river ferry. In an interesting location which is all very orthodox jewish, its quiet and amenities are all about 15-25 mins walk away depending which way you go. Lovely little touches as well such as homebaked cookies on reception.
I wouldn't have wanted to be on the ground floor as the rooms are directly onto reception
Location for me was good. Very accessable to the areas that I had to be. Very comfortable nights sleep and the breakfast was good.
My husband went to breakfast very early one morning and saw a roach in the dinning area, Yike!
Staff are very helpfully especially to a foreigner and African such as me.
The Condor was clean with a nice modern decor. The desk staff were very helpful and more than happy to assist with our queries and even help us print out some sports tickets. The breakfast consisted of fruit, cereals, bagels and a waffle iron.
Location should be a consideration when booking. Nearest Subway is Flusing Av. on the G. About a 8-10 minute walk that takes you past the Marcy Project (famously the childhood home of Jay Z). For those looking to explore Williamsburg, the main area of bars, cafés, restaurants and shops is a 15-20 walk. Occupancy noise and the WiFi were both disappointing. We were woken in the middle of the night on a number of occasions by other guests arriving back to their rooms; conversations and TVs at normal volume seemed to travel easily into our room. The free WiFi was very intermittent.
Size of room, amenities in room, bed very comfortable, basic but adequate breakfast
The hotel is located about 10 mins walk from the Metro, longer than anticipated.
Very friendly staff. Spacious room and large bed.
Lot of noise from outside machinery. Breakfast is in basement.
Closest hotel to Pratt campus
Long walk to the metro
Staff were very helpful with directions, cabs, storing our luggage after checkout.
Air conditioning in living room was not working and despite several phone calls no one came to fix it. Fortunately, AC was wiling in the bedroom.
The staff was outstanding! Everyone was extremely helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. The beds were a standout on our trip, there were beyond comfortable! The subway is only a couple of blocks away and buses just on the corner.
The air conditioning was loud and had difficulty in maintaining a comfortable temperature.
We were looking for a place to stay, close enough to the Pratt institute of Art, so we could visit our grand daughter in her Summer program. We were lucky to find the Condor. Very modern , very clean and a great staff! We even had a balcony overlooking the skyline of Manhattan, were we enjoyed our evening coffee. There was also a very pleasant lounge and back garden. And a free breakfast ! While there for the night we managed to fit in a walk across the famous Brooklyn bridge. Parking available right across the street and easy access to Manhattan. We were very pleased.
Being in our seventies, it would have been nice to have a grab bar and/or mat in the tub.
Enough space for family
Breakfast was not prepared in time Room didn't include agreed roll in (but was organized later)
Very nicely decorated and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette was nice. Staff was very helpful and polite.
Very disappointed that there was no restaurant or bar which was especially bad because there is literally no place nearby to buy food or eat out so I was forced to travel miles for meals. Had I known this I would not have stayed here.
the hot water was not hotin the morning
Kitchenette with stone counter, refrigerator and microwave. Good shampoo. Large bed, lots of pillows, no bedbugs.
Small room. Small TV. Took 1 hour for old, loud AC to cool room down. Thermostat is activated by leaving a key card in a slot next to the door, so rooms here will not be climate controlled upon arrival. Weird neighborhood. All windows & balconies in the hotel have a view of a brick wall. For the price you can do better.
The manager. He resolved a problem we had with great speed and flair,
location is a bit out of the way. But very culturally interesting neighborhood
Pleasant room with comfortable bed.
Very noisy school buses travelling all hours
Everything was comfortable. I felt secure in the neighborhood coming home by bus from the subway late at night.
I would have appreciated a glutten free choice at breakfast.
