relativ gute Lage in der Nähe des Willys (Sears) Tower, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels

Es ist ein wundervolles, etwas in die Jahre gekommenes altes Hotel. Aber man spürt noch die ehemalige Eleganz der Räume und der Zimmer. Die Aussicht aus unserem Zimmer war besonders beim Sonnenaufgang traumhaft, aber auch im Lichtermeer nachts einmalig schön.

Eine Minibar, bzw ein Kühlschrank für ein kaltes Wasser wäre sehr hilfreich. Und ein Frühstück im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen wäre auch ganz schön.

Bathroom - to small

I have stayed twice at the Congress Plaza Hotel. Each time, I have enjoyed a large, clean, comfortable, well appointed room with spectacular views of Grant Park and Lake Michigan. The staff is responsive, efficient and professional. The bar, restaurants, exercise facilities, gift shop and public areas are well done and provide a great value. The location, a few blocks from the loop, has allowed me to roam the city and suburbs without a car. I will remember my visits to Chicago more fondly because of my happy stays at the Congress Plaza Hotel.

The room size, the size of the bed, the location, the nice television, and the option of making a pot of coffee in the morning, although I did not do so.

It did get a little toasty in the room and we had to sleep with the windows open. We were on floor 11, but I imagine that closer to the bottom floors, sleeping with the windows open might get noisy. But we slept very, very well.

Fantastic view, large and clean rooms

we had a Lakeview room and the sunrise over the lake and the Sat night fireworks were special

The water pipes are old and the bathroom smelled horrible

The hotel was beautiful and the view was as well.

Our room was sooooooooooo hot, we could not get comfortable.

The location, accross the street from Grant Park and near several world-class museums, was excellent.

As an older hotel, there were several infrastructure problems, such as poorly regulated heat / air conditioning. Also, my bathroom was missing a door knob for the duration. But the bed and furniture were modern and comfortable, and the room was spacious with a great view of the lake.

Location was excellent.

The closet was unbelievably small. They have begun renovations, but room still needs much more work to be updated.
