Erinomainen sijainti Loopin alueella South Michigan Avenuella Michigan-järven ranta-alueella. Iso vanha ja hieno hotelli. Ajan patinaa, yleiset tilat luksustasoa. Parhaiten soveltuu työmatkailuun. Keskustan kohteet kävelymatkan päässä kaikka, messukeskukseen on syytä varata autokuljetus vaikka periaatteessa pystyy senkin kävelemään.

Iso huone ja isot sängyt.

Suihku oli huono ja välillä sai odottaa lämmintä vettä pitkään.

The best was the location of this hotel near to Willis Tower and Millenium Park.

Congress Plaza was the crowning event of our 1 month touring the US. The front desk people were the most unfriendly we ever experienced. They did not accept our Visa cards though we had never problems paying other expenses at the same day or before or after this day. We had to walk a mile to get cash from a bank. Then they wanted in spite of paying cash a deposit of 100 $. The room we stayed in needs renovation. We had only one coffee - no tea bag! in the room though it says Tea + coffee maker in the room. Breakfast is far too expensive. Checking out we saw that another guest was facing the same problems with her credit card as we did. Unbelievable! We got the feeling that guests booked in though Booking.com are not wanted.

The view of Grant Park and Lake Michigan was beautiful. It was close to sights. It was old, but the bathroom had new pretty tiles. The room was large compared to the Palmer Hilton.

Suprise: you will have to cross picket lines as you enter the hotel, and are greeted by security? I am so glad you listed 14.5% tax not included... Then I was suprised by the state and city taxes that were added $974 ended up $1200. For such charges, there should extras. I wish they had free internet and local call access. The breakfast restaurant closed, at 12, rather than change menus... You were supposed to go to their other restaurant after 11 for lunch, no sign posted re hours, or menu, how was I to know?

The hotel looks better online. The rooms are horrible with pipe running through walls and air conditioner sucks rooms were too hot. I got switch three times just to find a decent room !!! two thumbs down !!! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone !!! very disappointed !!!

I loved the location of the hotel. It was within walking distance to many restaurants including Lou Malnati's and Giordano's. It was very close to Grant and Millennium Park as well as the magnificent mile. It was only a 5 minute taxi ride to all the bars on State and District st. The location was the best. Also, the hotel staff from bell man to front desk were very knowledgeable and were able to give his tips on where to find the hidden gems of Chicago! The bar staff was great. Our bartender Lydia was very knowledgeable and friendly towards my girlfriend and I and she made awesome drinks!

Though the location was great, the hotel itself wasn't so great. Once you get in the hotel is gorgeous but the rooms not so much. The room we got clearly indicated that it was a non-smoking room but once we got in the room, the room smelled like it had been smoked in for 4 nights straight. I had to go down to the front desk just to make sure that I wouldn't be charged a $250 smoking fee for a non smoking room that smelled like smoke. There were no microwaves and no refrigerators so we weren't able to bring left overs from the amazing restaurants. The housekeeping staff was annoying. They kept trying to come in our room to clean it while we were still there. Each time we would tell them no thank you and an hour later they would be back to clean it again! I would recommend this hotel only because of its convenient location and friendly staff.

First room was not upgraded. Old carpet, missing molding, train right outside window. Not worth the $133 per night. The thought of spending 7 more days in a room like that almost had me cancelling the upcoming reservation. 2nd room was upgraded - newer carpet, mouldings, wallpaper. However, tub was small which made showering difficult. One morning, water from hot water pipe was running brownish-red, from a rusty pipe, I assume. Will not stay there again.

The location was excellent. Grant Park is just across the street and there is a beautiful view of Buckingham Fountain outside the window. The coffee shop served an excellent buffet breakfast. The bell staff was wonderful.

The bathroom didn't have enough shelving. There was no where to put things. This was particularly annoying to a room with three women in it. Absolutely nowhere to put curling irons, make-up, etc. Also, the towels were very rough -- like drying myself with burlap.

Ethernet cable was broken. It took a few hours to replace the cable with new one.

Location on South Michigan Ave, opposite Buckingham Fountain and easy reach of public transport. Minimal interaction with staff, but all were pleasant when approached. Room very large, clean and comfortable with excellent view.

Still have striking workers picketing out front. WiFi not available in rooms.

Getting a tour of the historic spots in the hotel from a very helpful staff member. The hotel is very conveniently located in the Loop. Great view from our room out over Michigan Ave. The wait staff at bar and restaurant were very congenial and made us feel at home.

I didn't see a place where we could use valet parking at the hotel; however the parking was only 1/2 block away.

Our stay was fine. We enjoyed the classic style and real sense of history. We would have loved a view of Grant Park and the lake! The location is good.

Two main complaints: the carpeting needed cleaning and the room was extremely stuffy and warm. We could not figure out the heat/cool system and ended up having to leave our windows open the entire length of our stay in order to tolerate the room, which allowed lots of city noise (including the EL which passed by within a block of the hotel-sometimes at 5 minute intervals!)
