Location, refrigerator, YMCA,
No hot water at 4:00 am when I was trying to get ready to leave. No wake up call. Had a hard time getting my car out of the garage early on the morning that I was leaving. A security guard had to call other guards to unlock the garage so I could get my car out
Lovely location with ferry to town Gym very well equipped
No hot water after 5 pm!!! Kitchen not equipped. More like an expensive YMCA than a hotel Sheets old and unironed
Quiet neighborhood. Walked to shuttle, Constitution, Warren Tavern, Bunker Hill Monument. Complimentary use of full YMCA on site, including lap pool... Very nice! Beds, pillows, bedding, all comfortable.
Perfect for our needs. Didn't have continental breakfast, but refrigerator, microwave, coffeepot in room made it pretty easy to avoid expense of eating out.
Was a clean & bright hotel, and the bedrooms were quite good
Staff need to pay more attention, asked twice for extra towels, as there was 3 of us in the room, which we booked and never came. Eventually got them of housekeeping when they woke us the next morning. Staff weren't sure of how best to get around
- Big and clean room - Nice and helpful staff - Affordable price
- a bit far from city center or MIT
Free shuttle to north station works well Area well maintained and character buildings
Appears to be an YMCA hostel with hotel facilities. Staff unskilled and bored/ disinterested Isolated location to enjoy Boston. Rooms need renovation.
Not very comfortable
Overall location is nice, even if not downtown. There is free bus and water taxi available. The rooms where big and clean, even if other reviews said they were not. A very standard hotel, fair balance between the pricey Boston and the fact of not being to far off.
Small bathroom and quite standard. The staff could actually be more 'involved', basics but workable.
Location is nice, the neighbourhood is being upgraded, nice bistro closeby for example. A ferry on walking distance takes you directly to the center of Boston for only USD 3. There is also a free bus shuttle. It is not a fancy hotel, but it is worth the price
There is a kitchen, but no dishes, pans or whatsoever. If you are on floor 4 or above there is only one slow elevator to serve those levels
The Staff were very friendly.
Great location Cheap parking
helpful employees, big room, great gym and swimming pool in the building, nice area near the water
NOISY from ongoing reconstructions of the building next to the hotel, no hotel restaurant, just few options to eat around the hotel or buy basic stuff
convenient location good restaurant nearby
hardly clean air conditioning broken very noisy in am
Access to YMCA facilities Access to free shuttle that takes you to transit station that is a 5 min ride. Located in a quiet area, great for sleeping. Parking for $10 per day was great. The hotel, location, cost served it's purpose compared to a downtown Boston hotel that we would have had to pay twice as much.
Bathroom sink was way too small.
Very old facilities
Staff were helpful
No late night facilities in close proximity
Location, a little bit far away from the centre
Miles from anywhere- no restaurants, shops nearby 25 min walk or cab ride Furniure and fittings were grubby and 'tired' Price was too high Staff were not welcoming
Very poor for the many
Great area adjacent to the mass hospital annex lots of young students. Quiet at night
Outrageous that the wfails to tell you it still currently being used as a YMCA and also used to house homeless or welfare. I would prefer to know that immediately.
The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean.
The pillows were horrible. The parking was terrible.
The front desk staff were friendly. Location was good for what we wanted -- to tour Charles Morgan at navy yard.
Hard to find unless you know you're looking for a YMCA. No parking on site. Beds uncomfortable. Had a handicapped room for some reason, which I'm sure is great if you're handicapped, but really not if you're not. Talking primarily about bathroom -- mirror very low, shower difficult to use. Noisy halls, thin walls.
room size was great comfortable
most of the time there was no air conditioning room lighting could have been better
Decent value for money. Good location with YMCA and restaurants in walking distance. Staff friendly and helpful. This is a no frills hotel however.
Problems with air conditioning (would be fine in fall/winter) and needs some updating....carpets etc
Swimming and harbour ferry access.
Noisy neighbours and male swimming pool changing room that was dirty with towels left around floor and cream on locker doors.
