Nice old B and B (1768 - oldest house in the valley). Very nice breakfast.
Our room lacked a pull down shade on one of the windows and the spotlight illuminating the building glared in all night. We mentioned this and were told it would be attended to.
The staff is warm and friendly and we stay here every year if we can make it. Great breakfast - saves us from having to hunt around town.
The owner was warm and friendly. Location was central to things we wanted to do in the White Mountains area. Coffee always available.
The room furnishing was shabby although the bed was comfortable. Funishings looked like they were purchased at a yard sale Lack of accessible outlets for charging phones and laptops. Only 3-pronge outlet next to the sink area - not a great combination. The bathroom sink was tiny and shower was a make-shift box in the small bathroom. The quality was not what I expect from Booking.com
Bathroom could do with a makeover, and a very creaky bed.
On arrival impressed with room, large and quaint. Parking just outside the front door.
The room looked dirty in need of repair. Hole in the wall, curtains filthy, shower had mould. The closet space looked dirty so I didn't take clothes out my case.
Where to begin? Night 1 began innocuously enough with a reasonable nights sleep. The morning? Woke up to the staff letting themselves into our room at 8 am while I was rather...exposed, despite my fiancé's loud protestations while the door was being unlocked. She then proceeded to blame us for not yelling louder while she was relocking our room. *boggle* Problem 2: Remember in Planet of the Apes, when Charlton Heston gets the full hosing treatment by the apes? WELCOME TO YOUR NEW SHOWER KIDS! If you like the flesh being ripped from your body by an overpressured shower gone wild, you will enjoy showering here. Delicate areas need not apply. It literally hurt to take a shower here. Next issue. Like to bleed profusely? Good. You will. There were nails jutting up from the floorboards in our room and one of them happened to bite my fiancé. We mentioned this to the owner, who seemed almost completely indifferent to the fact that one of their guests had ripped a gash in their foot while staying at their B&B. No apology given. We will never, ever, ever be going back for obvious reasons. PS - Breakfast sucks too, unless you REALLY like Cocoa Puffs.
Creepy decorations. Felt like some kind of horror film.
The breakfast was ok, but nothing to brag about.
The noise from the highway, the bathroom needs work
Location and staff were very good with good ideas to explore. The sun room (breakfast area) was very plesant and inviting. Rooms were clean and cared for.
The main floor was too heavily scented, could use updating it appears old and a sanding and paint would help the windows and exterior. Carpet could be replaced or at least cleaned.
Clean, comfortable, good food at breakfast.
Place was very old, windows were in poor shape. Bathroom light did not work. Place has been neglected. Breakfast was superb!
Comfortable , owner very pleasant
Breakfast was a little late for us as we are early risers.
Friendly host chatting with us made us feel welcomed. Walking distance to city center.breakfast was good and filling. Charming B&B
Carpeting in main dining area was very dirty. Place could use some up keeping.
We just love the place the owner is so friendly and she made us feel at home
The staff was outstanding and went out of thei way to accommodate our requests.
Bed wasn't too comfortable.
Convenient location in a nice town.
Room was not well maintained with water stains in the walls. There was an exit sign over the bedroom window which I am assuming serves a the second exit.
Although our stay was short the view out there was awesome. You have a great hotel!
Location to North Conway attractions. Breakfast included in room price. Private bath.
Not having full tub access.
Oldness of the Inn. The owner and the staff.
the house itself.
This could be sooo much nicer with a little tender care . Windows/curtains are filthy.Bedding not crisp & fresh and room needed a better cleaning.
The location is very good for the town. Loads of character and clean rooms with a lovely breakfast in the morning. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.
Owner was friendly.
The building is not well maintained inside or out. Bathroom was scruffy small and dirty. Bedroom and bathroom both needed cleaning and redecoration.Interior decor was over fussy and dated. Breakfast not well presented
Convenient location to places we wanted to visit.
I like old houses. Stayed in Quiet section of old house although could hear people walking upstairs late at night. Slept well.
* Poor lighting in room. * Kitchen (in room) had NO dishware, silverware and pots and pans. * Bed mattress very old and worn. *Bathroom tub had mold stains. *TV in bedroom is a small 13" screen. (no cable). *WIFI poor connection in bedroom *Only one chair in room. *I did not get the feel of old house staying here. *Cheap decor. No attractive decorations in the room. *The room smelled strongly of an air freshener as soon as you walk in the door. *Old Windows were shut tight and could not open to air out the room. *Breakfast - very basic. Eggs and toast, bagels, potato hash browns & cereal. I would have preferred waffles. For the price paid, I would not go here again.
The Owner/Operator was super and greeted us upon arrival. Rooms were spacious, there was a private bath and the facility was in the middle of the town.
The scrambled eggs were the highlight of the breakfast.
We really regretted that we stayed here but it was already billed before we even stepped into the house. We were put in the back around the garage in what must have been a place for a smoker to live in. It reeked of tobacco and two air fresheners which we put outside. The windows didn't lock and the blinds were not very private. The bed sagged, the carpet was filthy along with a really dirty animal skin on the floor by the bed. Behind the bed was discussing dirt. We tripped on a sprinkler trying to get to the room on "stepping stones" in the dark. No light on the side of the house. The furnishings were garage sale rejects. Don't even stay here!
