Score from 280 reviews Very good
The location was excellent. The hotel is old but renovated. Our room was very small and rather dark but quiet for the most part since it is at the back of the hotel. I suspect rooms at the front are noisy since on the street.
It is very expensive. Sound proofing is not the best particularly from above.
big bedroom and close to the train station. convenient
bathroom although refurbished was very dated and small.
-Wine Down - what a treat! -Bedrooms and toiletries perfect for this establishment. -All other facilities and the concierge were very helpful
Lack of tea/coffee in room
Location was great. And we enjoyed the wine offered by the hotel. That was nice.
Room was very small. We hardly had any room to move around. I feel we overpaid based on the size of our room alone.
Location Happy Hour Wine Friendly Staff
The rooms seemed quite small for the price.
The room was a beautiful corner king and was beautiful. The bathroom was lovely and the bed was comfortable. Great location in Boston!
Not a lot of amenities. Breakfast, pool. They had a "club" downstairs and a restaurant that had weird hours and didn't seem to be open when we were there. No soda machines.
We arrived at wine hour. We got a glass of wine while we checked in. The best were so clean and comfortable. The Decor is stylish and sleek. We were here 6 years ago and the place has gotten even better.
My bathroom was on the small side.
The staff was very friendly and it was in a convienant location the restaurant had good food and very friendly staff house keeping staff does an excellent job of cleaning and keep it tidy
Maybe a few more selections own the menu and longer room service hours but there are still plenty of restaurants in the area
View: looking on an alley Security: there was a fire escape landing right outside my two big windows.
Cleanliness, location, staff
Morning coffee available only in lobby, should at least make available on each floor by elevator. Bathroom in #713, extremely SMALL!
The staff was marvelous. They were courteous and went out of the way to help me with any need. The hotel was very clean, which is exceptionally important to me. And when I requested a quiet room, I got just that. A very quiet room, indeed!
Very welcoming staff and beautiful room. Complimentary wine was a bonus!
Very hard to mention anything as all poor compared to its rating.
Everything specially the lobby and the bad smell of the carpet when you enter the hotel. Also the gloomy colors of the lobby furniture.
Staff was really helpful, quick checkin/checkout; gave us a free umbrella to use when it poured out; got us Cabs and told us where to park for free on the weekends. Great location! Super safe
Room was small, could have been more comfortable of a bed.
Really great location!! Quality help in foyer with staff at all times.
Room needs 1-2 more mirrors by outlets. Would be nice to have history of hotel posted somewhere... Old police station??? Turn 1-2 rooms into spa/massage services??? Sure could use a good foot massage after walking all day...:)). ENJOYED your city SO much.... Beautiful, didn't mind the walking PLUS VERY friendly, happy people in Boston.... A GREAT people watching place. THANK YOU for a Wonderful time!!
Staff and location
Coffee in the am. Proximity t o shopping. Water in the room. Very nice touch and much appreciated.pleasant staff. Also like the eco friendly policy. I like to save water.
Not much. Elevator a little slow but given all else, not a deal killer. Did not care for the music in the am in the lobby. A bittoo loud for the am. But again they are lil nits that i could live with.
- Comfortable bed. - Free WIFI.
- The Bathroom is small. - Some of the staff not responding to customer request. - No refrigerator and Coffee/tea maker. - No breakfast included.
Close to a lot of sites. Staff very friendly
Rooms very small The staff although very friendly not very knowledgable of subway system and getting to different places and repair staff not fully capable of fixing issues
Immaculate, very nice staff, close to restaurants and shopping
Awkward to find driving, walking was great
Location was excellent
My credit card was overcharged, There is no value for money as hotel standard way below satisfactory comparded to other hotels (westin) which is opposite the street. Staff promised to refund overcharged credit but still nothing Very old and small rooms
The location was excellent. I found the welcome and support to be above average. The room was comfortable and well appointed. I would certainly want to return if ever I am in Boston.
The air conditioning loudly went on and off every 30 minutes or so waking me up on most nights. Breakfast was good but the service a little mechanical.
Rooms and bathrooms are too small compared to the rates
