We have stayed here from 1 to 7 nights about 8 or 9 times. The convenience of this hotel is great. The people are nice and helpful. When our shuttle failed to arrive one visit the staff got us a cab and we made our flight. We have had our young grandchildren stay with us twice and the staff was very nice to them.

Rooms have a good size WiFi close to reception had good speed They have a pool

    - There were some strange noises coming from the wall - WiFi reception was poor/none towards the end of the row - Location is not convenient (for visiting SF) if you plan to stay more than 1-2 days.

I liked everything about this inn. This is the second time I have stayed here and I love it.

The shower head should be changed out. It was too spritzy.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Huge rooms: We actually had two executive suites but we could easily sleep a company of four in one. Lovely grounds, lots of greens, a decent-size pool in which you can actually swim. Downtown SF within an easy reach but you get the benefits of a peaceful location and room to breathe just outside the big city.

A bit too noisy at night. The walls are OK but single-glazed windows provide little sound proofing from the parking lot or from people walking along the galley. There was a strange smell in one corner of the kitchen, the source we could not identify.

    The rooms were clean.

I need a soft bed to sleep. That is why I wanted a suite, so I could sleep on a couch. I stayed I three rooms on separate stays over two weeks. The couches were worn down...really worn down and even uncomfortable to sit on. On each of the three couch the padding was showing through in one spot...each couch.

Beds were old and uncomfortable found illegal drugs in the couch cushions! So dirty I could hardly stand it! I do not recommend this place to anyone! Horrible! Pictures are very misleading

Our main purpose of visiting was San Fransisco, but hotels of the same quality in the city are pricy plus around 20$/day for private parking. Alameda is a quiet town. Safeway grocery, cheap cafe and beach are 3-5 minutes from the hotel. It took me 30-40 minutes to get to SF. 4-5$ to cross the bridge + 10$ parking. You could as well consider ferries 6.5$ one way (40-50 min), but you'll be linked to their schedule.

The room was shabby in need of renovation.

The hotel is close to dining, shops, and the freeway. It's quiet and the staff is cordial and helpful.

Big room with 2 beds and sofa bed good wifi Big parking space good price for the facilities

Charge me more for extra person Far from San Fransico, you need to pay toll for using bay bridge to SF but that is the price that pay to get cheaper hotel

We loved the coral reef inn and suites. We were able to save on food with Safeway across the street, walk to a beach, and be in alameda. Will definitely stay here again.

Nothing because if they updated the decor it would no longer be affordable.

We stay at this hotel every time we go to the city, it is close to the beach and the mall. We had fun at the bowling alley right next door. It is the perfect place to stay when in SF, all you have to do is take the ferry, which is a great way to avoid traffic.

    The location

False Advertising, Kitchens with nothing in them, we don't believe we got the room we booked and then after complaining we where moved to another room. There where more problems.

The rooms were very clean. Overall, the rooms I stayed in (three different stays over about a three week period) were well maintained.

I need a soft mattress to sleep so chose Coral Reef because they had couches. All of the couches were uncomfortable because they were OLD. Every couch showed at least one white spot from the padding showing through.

This hotel is in a fabulous location--right next to the beach and a great shopping mall.

My family and I stayed here several years ago, and it has really run down since. The room was dirty; the facilities in disrepair, and the front desk staff unfriendly.

    Big (huge) room....

My worst experience ever at a hotel!!! First of all they charged us approx. $70 more than the confirmed amount from Actually I demand an explanation as I believe they cheated us? At the time and site we complained against this but without success! Furthermore and to make it totally hilarious the sofa bed in our room (which the "overcharged" persons were intended to sleep on) was broken an equipped with a note that said: Please do not use it!!! The guy at the Front desk (who actually did his best - credit to him) brought us 2 MISERABLE AND NOT FOR HUMANS usable roll away beds instead. Bottom line - we bought a large air mattress for the kids instead!!! During our stay we several times asked for a refund due to all these mistakes but of course we did not get that!!! At check out I only signed the receipt under protest and actually wrote; Refund awaited? One last thing - there was an awfull smell in our room and we had to keep doors and windows open at all times!!! Looking forward to your response......

The city around The donuts for the breackfast That's it !

What a horrible place to stay. First of all when we arrived the parking was more than full, so no spot for us when the add states that parking is available, 2nd of all, the receptionist was very unplaisant when I asked him to have more bath towel, an hour after he told me he gave that to an old man... What a liar. I finally got some but was feeling that he gave me a favor and I was a pain. Wifi was not working. bath tub had holes on it, and the hotel charged us $30 moreon our credit card for any reason, aswell the sheets were very old with holes on it. We did a road trip for 10 days in US and this was my worst experience ever.

    Price was reasonable

A lot older motel then I expected from pictures. Lights in room were very dim. Motel looks like it has full time guests.
