Rent a bike and cruise down the bay, such a wonderful experience!
1. location of the hotel 2. activities nearby
the staff didn't pay attention to my request e.g. I've reserved two interconnected rooms (special request) one month in advance and when I arrived, they gave two separated rooms...the reason was really silly, NOT AVAILABLE. it's a matter of simple planning.
I would NEVER stay at this hotel again.
I love the pool. The view is incredible. Everyone is very kind. The lication is excellent.
I dont like very much the mattress and the pillows. But everything was excellent.
The manager was awesome
when booking its needed to request bed size, we didnt and got a pull out sofa
A great relaxing break with my family - Coronado Island is a great place and the location and quality of the hotel is idyllic.
The pool was nice and so was the view. Convenient to the ferry and convention center.
We could not get the room cold. We set the thermometer at 60 but it felt like 75. We called and the maintenance guy got out his ladder, said he fixed something, but the room never got comfortable. The hotel was sold out so we were stuck in this room. Then it was time for bed and the mattress was very uncomfortable and it felt like you were falling off the bed. Again, no other rooms available, so we were stuck. For $500 a night, I would have thought we were getting a 5 star hotel. I think 4 stars were missing.
Beautiful view, loved the chairs at the pool
Mattresses on beds could be upgraded.
I was a solo black female traveler and each time I entered the dinning area all white families and even white male solo travelers received immediate attention. It always took the staff at least 3 trips past my table before I was acknowledged. On my last day the manager went to every table except me.
The location and the outside beauty of the facilities. The view is spectacular. Dining area are good.
The room is old style. No bathroom blower that the steam stayed in room. The bathroom smells moldy coming from the shower drain. Smell cigarette as you walk in and in bathroom maybe used as smoke room before.
Food was decent, but not great.
Pools were too shallow.
The staff booked us into a room already taken by another person. They sent someone to the room who made us wait in the heat and tried the keys (as if we were stupid) and let us in, then discovering THEIR error. We received an apology via voice message only. We were never informed that "self parking" would cost nearly $30 a night, or that "resort view" meant a view of a green water duck poop pond! Yuck! Should have paid the same amount and stayed at Loews!
bed emsemble cleanliness
We had a great room with a great view. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The staff was remarkable. Great customer service. I grew up in Coronado and now live on the East Coast. People aren't very friendly here in New England! All of your staff made us feel so welcome. Everyone smiled at us and made us feel special. Thank you so much!! And, one of the cleaning people organized my things in the bathroom and had it all laid out. Nice touch. We will stay with you again!!
Proximity to ferry downtown. Price was good for quality. Easy to get to. We would go back.
Room was stuffy. Seemed like a lot of extra charges. Restaurant was pricey for what was on the menu.
Good view of marina from the suite. Staff helpful.
It was just a typical Marriott hotel, everything was there but just off being very good, possibly a 2 or 3 star rating would be more appropriate. We had a long walk from suite to the restaurant which was just ok. Other restaurants quite a distance away. Parking 10 dollars a day was inappropriate. Internet was only free in the lounge area after first 24 hours, not mentioned till it didn't work!
Location, room size
Charge for Parking
Not a lot of food choices, nothing was complimentary-paid for breakfast, parking, wifi. There were no perks to staying at this hotel other than location. I would not recommend and would not stay again. Hotel itself offered nothing to wow the customers.
Great location and room.
Don't like having to pay for wifi in the room. All other hotels that I stayed at on the same break didn't charge.
The pool, lounge, helpful concierge & front desk staff, fresh water in the foyer.
Slow lifts, noisy air conditioning.
Beautiful landscaping and property. Running pond, greenery, palm trees, flamingos, pool - all magnificent. Concierge knowledgeable and friendly. Staff so professional. Cannot fault anything about design.
Hotel was empty. Was put on top floor in farthest corner. Some could interpret as an isolated feel on Coronado island. Was told water taxi only operates Friday, Saturday, Sunday- but when we were at poolside Thursday, tired after already making plans, noticed water taxi was working. Rate expensive but worth luxury. $25 per night to self-park. We would likely stay somewhere more in the thick of things.
Being on coranado, the pool
Noise, the rooms were subpar. Too much money for the accomendations. Food at resturant not very good and very overpriced.
