The location was just perfect - everything that previous travellers had written about this were absolutely accurate! Easy access to cafes, shops, restaurants, the ferry to San Diego, bike trails etc. All excellent!
Location & leisure facilities
Everything about the resort - the location, rooms, pool, amenities, staff. It was the perfect, luxury weekend.
Other guests at the pool made for a very uncomfortable situation, probably because they had too much to drink. There was a lot of vulgar language and body gestures. When one of the other poolside guests asked them to stop (she had young daughters in the pool), they harrassed her to the point where she had to move to another area of the pool.
Nice hotel at a perfect location. A 5 minute walk along the bay and you have a good choose of places to eat.
Dirty carpet in the room Wifi quality let to desire Old hotel No breakfast buffet I have seen the brush to clean the floor touching towels on the maid trolley !!!
Staff, view, location
Cleaning staff late everyday, but checkout day... Didn't knock before keys were already in and door opening! Then called out a greeting, really?
Room clean and the beds are comfortable.
Staff at dinner service is no so good. Kind of lazy and not friendly. Come over and ask is there everything good until we are ready to leave. Hard to find the address by using a GPS.
Great location, views, away from traffic, relaxing layout.
Everything very nice but it needs updating/general refeshing.
Close proximity to the water, spectacular views of the ocean, the bridge, the city. Loved the running brooks and trees INSIDE the development. Outstanding rooms. Can't wait to return..
Didn't like that ducks and other birds could walk freely under tables and in between feet while people trying to eat during the day. (Not a problem at night; birds gone to bed..)
The hotel was very quiet and comfortable. You felt like you were on vacation by yourself when in the room areas and walking about. The pool was not too crowded. Service at the pool was slow but friendly. Nice weekend, we enjoyed being so close to downtown.
The one bedroom villa was perfect in every way
The studio villa was not clean, the smoke alarm made a buzzing sound every time the AC came on and worst of all, the patio was covered in duck poop! Really gross. You couldn't even go out on patio because it was everywhere . I would never choose a studio villa again.
The comfort is the "Marriott amazing comfort" Also the hositality and service mindset is outstanding
The furnature is a bet old and was expecting the usual five stars room of Marriott, but it was more of 3-4 stars. The misscommunication between Booking.com and Marriott. I had to fight with the front desk about the included breakfast with the package.
Room service food was delicious and the staff is really friendly It very peaceful on the island The Marriott private ferry was very convenient to travel to San Diego
The ferry is a bit pricey and charged $6 per person per ride.
Rent a bike and cruise down the bay, such a wonderful experience!
1. location of the hotel 2. activities nearby
the staff didn't pay attention to my request e.g. I've reserved two interconnected rooms (special request) one month in advance and when I arrived, they gave two separated rooms...the reason was really silly, NOT AVAILABLE. it's a matter of simple planning.
I liked everything about it. My family was happy as well as myself. It was great for every one. I saved a little over a year for this vacation and I worked hard to be able to go there and it was all worth it.
Parking. I was not happy with the parking. We self parked and we were still charge a lot for just parking. $175 for 5 days 2 of the 5 days werent even full days. Check in day which check in isnt until 4 so that day is already gone.
I would NEVER stay at this hotel again.
I love the pool. The view is incredible. Everyone is very kind. The lication is excellent.
I dont like very much the mattress and the pillows. But everything was excellent.
The manager was awesome
when booking its needed to request bed size, we didnt and got a pull out sofa
A great relaxing break with my family - Coronado Island is a great place and the location and quality of the hotel is idyllic.
The pool was nice and so was the view. Convenient to the ferry and convention center.
We could not get the room cold. We set the thermometer at 60 but it felt like 75. We called and the maintenance guy got out his ladder, said he fixed something, but the room never got comfortable. The hotel was sold out so we were stuck in this room. Then it was time for bed and the mattress was very uncomfortable and it felt like you were falling off the bed. Again, no other rooms available, so we were stuck. For $500 a night, I would have thought we were getting a 5 star hotel. I think 4 stars were missing.
Beautiful view, loved the chairs at the pool
Mattresses on beds could be upgraded.
I was a solo black female traveler and each time I entered the dinning area all white families and even white male solo travelers received immediate attention. It always took the staff at least 3 trips past my table before I was acknowledged. On my last day the manager went to every table except me.
