I loved the special touches. They think of those little things that make you feel at home.
The cottage had two rooms and a living room. We liked the space.
The road was a bit loud. The cottages are adjacent the highway.
The grounds were lovely and well maintained, the rooms were comfortable and charming. I look forward to coming back
We loved this place, it was so relaxing and felt like home. My kids loved the pool and making smores every night. It is close to everything, the river, wine tasting and of course pee wee golf! hope to come back next year.
The place was really nice with all the special touches just so you can feel right at home..staff was wonderful & Frank the cat was pretty friendly as well. Our room was really clean and the location is perfect for river exploring beach relaxing Forrest gazing & wine & dinning.
I didn't like the lack of air-conditioning or the noise from the road but those were really minor dislikes because the place was perfect & in the evening there was a wonderful breeze and at night the road quiets!!
Déjeuner Feu Ambiance
Près de la route qui est très passante
Every night there is a fire and the makings for s'mores. Every morning there is a nice little continental breakfast. Coffee, tea, juice and fresh fruit available all the time. Cozy seats and tables by the pool. Lovely landscaping. You get to chat with your neighbors at breakfast and s'mores. Each cabinet has a useful little kitchenette. Very friendly staff.
Lots of steps everywhere - not for the mobility impaired. Cabins are quaint and quite well maintained but obviously not new. Location is a little ways out of town, but the slight inconvenience is offset by the quiet. One night we got in late and the parking was a little difficult - really no spots available. But overall we loved it.
The cottage was very nicely appointed and very clean and neat. We were able to borrow a DVD player and a movie for the evening. We enjoyed the s'mores in the evening, and had a great time overall.
Parking right off the highway at night was a little scary.
Most of it
the noise in the morning
My room. Very cozy.
Hard to find. Pricey for a senior.
Lovely, cozy, romantic. Would definitely return again.
Wonderful free juice at breakfast.
Our cabin was where all of the children played at the fire pit. We could hear every step the people in the adjoining cabin made.
All the rest I got in my lovely room .
The gardens and the cottage.
Beautiful grounds, flowers, courtyards comfortable room spacious, clean bathroom very generous "continental" breakfast friendly and helpful staff
Location, bathroom and cleanliness
The mattress was a bit too soft.
Friendly staff, beautiful landscape, clean and comfortable rooms, convenient to wineries, parks and beach
The staff was excellent; warm and welcoming, even to our puppy. All of the details were geared toward making the stay warm and cozy. The price by competitive standards was good, though of course still steep by the standards of our family's budget. We'll definitely go back if/when we can afford it!
The location by the road and yet not quite in town was imperfect; loud and required the necessity of a car. Nothing they can do about it, of course, but it makes the cottages less than perfect.
Having Wi-Fi with a young one was great! They also had a nice selection of movies that were free to check out. We all enjoyed the smores at night. The two bedroom cottage was great for all of us and the bathroom was very spacious. We enjoyed the continental breakfast: boiled eggs, pastries, coffee, juice, fruit. There was a microwave, bar sink and coffee pot--I wish I had known there were no dishes I would have brought some paper plates. A masseuse does visit the property and I wish we had known ahead of time that you need to book ahead. She was completely booked for the 3 days we were there. There was plenty of outdoor room for the 2 yr old to explore and run on the grass and with the locked gates we felt secure. The staff was very friendly and accommodating in every way. I would definitely return.
I wish they had morning newspapers. A nice addition to their movies would have been a few games or decks of cards.
Staff was excellent Grounds meticulously kept Good parking Evening fire pit Great sized bathroom Pet friendly
Bedroom was just a little small but we weren't in there much.
Beautiful, well tended gardens. S'mores around the fire pit in the evening.
Close to downtown and beach
Parking on the street
Lovely spot, privacy good, continental breakfast excellent, friendly staff, comfortable bed
Very small window in bathroom and partial open window in main room didn't allow air circulation on hot afternoon & evening. We propped up the fan on a table aimed outside to move more air.
grounds, décor, little freebies in room
