road noise and no hot tub
Nice landscaping and staff.
Very noisy neighbors in the middle of the night. Need sound barriers in walls of connected rooms.
staff, general ambience, breakfast
Staying here is like your home away from home. Everything about the cottages is excellent. The continental breakfas is a perfect way to start the day and staff is so friendly. As a repeat visitor I'd recommend this to anyone!
DeeAnn and Ted were so wonderfully supportive. DeeAnn spent time looking into activities that I could do in the area and introduced me to Frank, the cat, who was also quite charming. Ted offered me an ice cold bottle of water for the road trip home. These guys went well above and beyond what was necessary to make me a happy customer. The room was magnificent, beautiful and clean, with a nice deep bathtub. I felt so relaxed after my stay here. I definitely will recommend this place to anybody going to the area. Breakfast was also very yummy!
Wi-fi was a bit slow in the evening, but this was really the ONLY thing that I didn't like.
DeeAnn Mayer - Guest Services was the best. It was very clean and had a very warm feeling.
Wifi very slow I could hear my neighbor - very thin walls
cute affordable room
noisy traffic at night
The continental breakfast and the beautiful setting.
The mattress wadnt terribly comfortable but not bad either :)
The owner, Gwen, was very obliging and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the balcony outside the room was well furnished with two chairs and a round table. The highlight of our night was the convivial chats we had with other guests around the open fireplace. The management has pokers for the wood as well as for the marshmallows!
I loved the special touches. They think of those little things that make you feel at home.
The cottage had two rooms and a living room. We liked the space.
The road was a bit loud. The cottages are adjacent the highway.
The grounds were lovely and well maintained, the rooms were comfortable and charming. I look forward to coming back
We loved this place, it was so relaxing and felt like home. My kids loved the pool and making smores every night. It is close to everything, the river, wine tasting and of course pee wee golf! hope to come back next year.
We loved everything! All the little touches like organic shampoos, conditioners and bar soaps to the bonfire where we had our first ever s'mores to the beautiful and serene landscaping. Too bad we didn't remember to bring our swimwear for the pool. We met the owners and another staff member who were delightful and very helpful to these first-timers to the area. And we mustn't forget "Frank", the house cat. Everyone was friendly including him. Would definitely stay again.
Was just wondering? We paid for a Queen Studio, but we thought the bed was a double/full size. Cottages #8 and #9. We are animal lovers and felt for the neighbor's dog who was crying. Poor guy/girl. Rated the "Comfort" and "Quality of Sleep" as good due to the aforementioned.
The place was really nice with all the special touches just so you can feel right at home..staff was wonderful & Frank the cat was pretty friendly as well. Our room was really clean and the location is perfect for river exploring beach relaxing Forrest gazing & wine & dinning.
I didn't like the lack of air-conditioning or the noise from the road but those were really minor dislikes because the place was perfect & in the evening there was a wonderful breeze and at night the road quiets!!
Déjeuner Feu Ambiance
Près de la route qui est très passante
Every night there is a fire and the makings for s'mores. Every morning there is a nice little continental breakfast. Coffee, tea, juice and fresh fruit available all the time. Cozy seats and tables by the pool. Lovely landscaping. You get to chat with your neighbors at breakfast and s'mores. Each cabinet has a useful little kitchenette. Very friendly staff.
Lots of steps everywhere - not for the mobility impaired. Cabins are quaint and quite well maintained but obviously not new. Location is a little ways out of town, but the slight inconvenience is offset by the quiet. One night we got in late and the parking was a little difficult - really no spots available. But overall we loved it.
The cottage was very nicely appointed and very clean and neat. We were able to borrow a DVD player and a movie for the evening. We enjoyed the s'mores in the evening, and had a great time overall.
Parking right off the highway at night was a little scary.
Most of it
the noise in the morning
We stayed in cottage/room C at the top of the hill. Having a full kitchen was fantastic and the layout was really great. Beautiful little private deck off the back with nice strung white lights under the redwoods. Nice breakfast in the morning (although not 'till 8am so we walked into town most times), and the pool is very nice too. They do s'mores at night around a fire, which we missed, but always sounded like people were enjoying it! All in all, very nice place and I would stay here again.
The road noise is kind of incredible. I don't know if the tall trees heighten it or what, but man! There's a lot of traffic on that small road. Bring earplugs! Also, the shower head wouldn't stop dripping (waste of water), and had the pressure of a fire hose! No amount of adjusting would fix it, so we just showered with eyes closed and head faced away. Although, I'm not sure that's a complaint. I'd take a strong shower over a weak dribble any day!
My room. Very cozy.
Hard to find. Pricey for a senior.
Lovely, cozy, romantic. Would definitely return again.
Wonderful free juice at breakfast.
Our cabin was where all of the children played at the fire pit. We could hear every step the people in the adjoining cabin made.
