THE STAFF, LOCATION.
Staff were friendly and very helpful
Bed was uncomfortable and pillow horrible
The staff was amazing and very accommodating. My boyfriend and I were bothered by a light right outside our window and the staff took the light bulb out for us. The breakfast was great, very good waffles and then evening wine and cheese was great! The room was extremely clean and it was a quiet area.
The bed was a little firm for our comfort level.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was directly across from some good restaurants.
We like it because it was quite and cozy and it fit our purpose of our trip. We would come back again.
The shower couldn't get it to regulate between hot and cold very well
The room was perfect!!! I loved the interior design. The room was very clean. The breakfast room was beautiful and the Belgium waffles great. Loved the flower arrangements. The breakfast staff was the best.
The outside of the buildings could be "spruced up" a bit to match the interiors.
People super nice and accomidating ...breakfast great with lovely view..
Our room faced a fence
The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff was friendly.
You could easily get the same level of quality and comfort for a much more reasonable price. My main thought when I saw our room and its location was, "did I really drop $200 for this?"
A bit expensive
The property location was perfect! My wife was impressed with the room's cleanliness. (Please note that she's not easily impressed so this is a big one.)
We had to leave at check-out time (!)
older facilities, needs updating. expensive for what you got.
The staff, especially Katherine who was GREAT! Lite morning breakfast and evening wine and cheese were nice touches. The grounds were in decent condition.
West facing rooms get direct sun for most of the day and hold the heat generated well into the night. With no A/C this was very uncomfortable!! Room was clean but dated with some old wood rot in bath area. There are reasonably priced portable A/Cs that could be made available for times of unusual heat. The dining area could greatly benefit from a pair of simple roll up shades as this also is west facing and heats up in a hurry.
Arrived early and they were still able to find a place for us. The breakfast was fine.
Room was hard to find and was a mile away
Ir is a nice place a to rest and unwind. The place is nice, the area beatiful and breackfast very good
They recomend to walk to restaurants for diner and it is dangerous at night, be cause the street in uneven and cars drive very fast.
it's too expensive and located quite far from Carmel and Monterey
Quiet, cleanliness, access, comfort
I guess shower caps are no loger provided. There was no body lotion. Did not need air conditioning, but I am sure there are dayswhen it would be useful.
Location excellent in quiet town with may restaurants in walking distance from Acacia Lodge.
Having to drive to Hidden Valley unit for breakfast on 2nd day when hotel was quiet.
The towels were O.K.
This is a lodging with 2014 pricing and 1954 ammenities. Continental breakfast was extremely limited. No air conditioning. Looks like it has never been updated. Sink drains are rusty, that takes a long time to happen. Not one scrap of paper to write on in the room.
Great value. Nice breakfast included and very friendly and helpful staff. value. Spacious king room.
Pool, beds, wifi, staff
walking up the driveway hill to get breakfast
Nothing fancy....but clean, comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Wonderful staff. Great for the price.
Need to update faucets. Had a hard time regulating shower water.
very clearn, very quite, very friendly
a little expensive
Walking distance to the lovely Carmel Valley village, pleasant breakfast room and atmosphere.
For the $200/night cost, I would expect better than: Rooms painted in depressing, dull colors; outdated bathroom facilities; no air-con; poor sound insulation; piles of bedding and cushions that we tried to avoid putting on the floor... All would have been fine in a cheaper place.
Unique retro setting and rooms - secluded and peaceful Convenience to Carmel Valley Village Pretty gardens; 15min drive to Carmel by the Sea Helpful and accomodating staff Comfortable beds and spacious king size bed with private porch
Old style bathroom with thinner towels and dial soap products Lack of air-conditioning, although there was a fan thoughtfully placed in the room and if you opened the sliding glass door and the front door you got a cross breeze Clock radio had intermittent static buzz that woke me up periodically - I told the staff and they logged it to report to the manager
Room was spacious & clean.
There are some stains on the ceiling & bathroom floor. Could use a renovation or paint job. Not a fan of hard boiled eggs, prefer other options, but breakfast was nice. More fruit choices, besides bananas & apples wld be nice. Hot chocolate or caffeine free teas wld be nice too.
