Country Garden Inns  

The staff, the location, lots of shade to park my motorcycle. The breakfast was okay.

There were ants in the room that crawled on me at night while I was sleeping. Found a big spider in the dresser drawer and there was a dog next door at the house behind my room that barked late at night and in the morning. No refrigerator in the room. The menu for room service was no good called the number and recived no response.

Great breakfast and friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms, and beautiful surroundings!

A bit antiquaited

Location: it is a 5 minute walk from good restaurants of the Carmel Valley Village (a village that offers a country-side alternative to the more touristy Carmel by the sea). A beautiful setting for the pool in a nice garden.

Location, room comfort, and amenities were all satisfactory.

We were somewhat disappointed in the motel-like atmosphere rather than the B & B atmosphere we were expecting.

The staff was great and free wine each night at 5!!

Perche dans les hauteurs de Carmel, ce bed ans breakfast très charmant permet d'être au calme. Les chambre, surtout celle que nous avons eu, sont chaleureuses et confortables et bénéficient d'une petite terrasse sympa pour profiter de la vue sur les montagnes. Le petit déjeuner copieux se prend dans la petite salle de réstaurant très cosy mais peu adaptée pour les enfants. Le personnel y est plutôt gentil et à l'écoute.

Loin de Carmel, environ 1/2 heure, la vie y est plutôt chère. La deco est un peu désuète et la piscine quelque peu encrassée mais rien de bien méchant.

Personalen var toppen. Vi bodde på hotellet m a a Big Sur Marathon. Personalen ställde med frukost för alla som sprang kl 3 på morgonen. Ingenting var besvärligt. Personalen hade alltid ett leende på läpparna. Frukosten var mycket bra.

Nice, clean and big room

Need a better breakfast option for the money. Made to order or something hot besides just waffles. Need meat and eggs. even a casserole or something.

Quiet- nice flowers, good scenery, friendly helpful people, walking distance to shops, restaurants and wineries in Carmel valley village, across the street from park.

no accomodation for vegans/vegetarians in menu, ants in bathroom, no refrigorator or microwave in room, old building with thin walls, but basically quiet and clean.

The staff was very hospitable and pleasant. The breakfast and wine in evening was nice. Lovely breakfast room with view of the mountains.

Overpriced. Should not be rated a 3 star, more like a 2 star motel. Rooms very outdated, not insulated.

It was a cute place for weekend getaway. Very quiet and private location.

WiFi and phone did not work.

Very friendly staff especially during breakfast! The room was clean and the only little annoyance where tiny ants. They disappeared after each cleaning of the room so it wasn't too bad and something to expect in the countryside. The valley sees much higher temperatures than Carmel-by-the-sea and the short distance from the sea makes it an excellent location to stay.

The location is pretty goo. It was a fairly close walk to downtown Carmel Valley which was convenient for wine tasting and dining. We were also able to play tennis in town, just a walk away. The pool was pretty good but would love if they had a hot tub. The back patio area was a nice area to sit and you could bbq out back if you wanted to.

It was quite expensive for what it was. I would choose to not have breakfast included for a reduction of cost.

We were not hosed at the pretty B & B that we booked on line. We were down the road at a rather faded, but clean, motel.

Nice pool area and lovely staff. When there was a problem with our room, they quick upgraded us to another room.

It needs updating, so don't expect anything fancy and some areas are a bit dingy.

Quiet, within walking distance to restaurants, sort of retro poolside ambience

No such thing as Country Garden Inns. Actually 2 older motels ran under that name. We stayed at Acacia Lodge, 1/2 mi away from office and any staff. No wine/cheese, no staff when looking for corkscrew or 3-prong plug for computer. One parking lot entrance blocked with weeds coming through blacktop. Felt like a bait & switch from website. But location is good so if some money put into it and staffed, I could see it being a cool retro sort of place.
