The location was a real plus, close but not to close

Small things such as the pillows were way to soft.

Cleaniness of rooms & interior of hotel Staff were very friendly and accomodating.

Allowing smoking on front porch of hotel. Not only could you smell the tabacco odor on the porch but as you entered the hotel. In my humble opinion smoking should be banned or smokers should only be allowed at back of hotel. Also, hours of pool. Would have been better if pool would have been open around 7 to 8 a.m.

The breakfast was very nicely setup and with a good assortment of quick breakfast items.

The front desk call at 10pm that told me that we were making too much noise. Two people in their sixties do not make noise, my wild party days are long gone. Obviously, the hotel management did not want to take the time to investigate the noise complaint to determine who was really making the loud noise. I do not like being falsely accused of bad conduct.

Generally clean and orderly, quiet with no outside noise. Very good breakfast offerings.

The air conditioning system. When on, the air flow was much more than the size of the room required and froze everyone. The high flow produced a very noisy fan. No way to control the flow and noise, except by turning off the AC and sweltering. Bring earplugs and coverup. Fox News was on TV in breakfast room. Althoug

Country Inn and Suites by Carlson Annapolis had every accomodation that my husband and I could ask for. The pool was great - right temperature. The deepest side is 4ft. Good if you want to swim a couple of short laps or if you want to play volly ball - the ball was provided free of hassle and charge. There was alwyas a life guard on site. They also had a hot tub area, it could probably fit 10 people comfortably. 1 shower, 1 unisex bathroom, and seating was also provided. I could tell by the amount of cars in the parking lot that the place was busy and popular but I think that because the weather was so great and its close proxcimity to the town center most people were outside so we did not experience any wait lines. Another great thing was that the hotel is very dog friendly. We took my 8 month old, pup. She was welcomed in the front area, petted by the host. She took pictures of us with the dog. There is a back area exit provided so that my pup and I could leave out anytime so she could handle her business. The shower water pressure in our room was great, we had windows that actually open, we had to prop them open because there was no way to secure them from closing. the room was spacious, bed and pillows very comfortable. The room offered two T.V.'s, long couch, table and chair seating, a fridge, microwave, safe, and a coffee station. My dog loved it, she had more than enough room for a game of tug of war. I set her cage up in our room - because there was plenty space. The breakfast was surprisingly good and ample. We ate enough that we really were not hungry for lunch. The interior of the building is very nice and mature looking with an optional winding stair case. They give out free cookies at the front desk. The gym is 24hrs with a key card. The hostess knew where all the local friendly dog parks and dog friendly boat tours are. They offer a military discount it you book directly with them.

    No Cons.

The staff was very welcoming and were willing to accommodate our special requests. I especially liked the "bed and breakfast" feel of the Hotel. Warm cookies at night, overstuffed leather couches, coffee and tea available all day. The pool is a little small but the life guard on duty was very accommodating to my children by offering goggles and a beach ball to play with. I would stay there again. It was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend this hotel.

The size of the pool was smaller than I anticipated. The pullout couch was very uncomfortable. I should have brought an air mattress to put on top.

There was candy and crumbs under some of the chairs. Needs to be vacuumed better.

The people working there were very friendly, and the rooms were comfortable, although rather tired. The location was super-I was visiting the hospital, which was a few minutes away. Also Westfield mall is around the corner, and the beautiful and historical part of Annapolis only a 10 minute drive away.

Although it was very nice they offered a complimentary breakfast, it was of the over processed and packaged variety-not the highest quality. I skipped it and headed to cafe in the historic center.

Staff, breakfast, grounds, public areas of hotel were just wonderful. Our bed was quite comfy. Sheets & towels always fresh.

Our room had an awful musty smell, no doubt due being on the 1st floor which is partially below ground, the water stains in the ceiling above shower. The carpet, sofa and chair were quite honestly filthy. For those reasons, I would not recommend this hotel. Also, while making the reservation, I don't recall that the weekend nights would be higher rate (30%+) but that is reflected in the total on the booking statement. I would watch closer for that in future.

Helpful staff - cleaning personnel and at desk - cookies and coffee in the entry - oatmeal was excellent

canned fruit for breakfast Today Show - prefer CNN Faucet in bathroom needs a new Room 218: faucet in bathroom needs a new washer - it leaks/drips; bathroom door slowly closes until it reaches 3/4 closed - have to place a towel on floor in front of it to keep it open.

The facility was really nice and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and a welcomed treat. Parking was ample and convenient. Our stay was enjoyable.

Booking.com policies and Country Inn and Suites policies differ concerning paying using cash upon check-in. The bed was not as comfortable, but we were able to sleep.
