Location, ambience, staff.
Small room on ground floor with vehicles parked outside the window.
We loved the breakfast that was provided everyday. Good variety of foods and wonderful morning staff...bright and cheerful.. Homemade Cookies available at all times gave a very welcoming feeling
We didn't like the fact that there was construction on the road right beside the hotel. The arrangement of the TV in the room was awkward.
The worst coffee! No safety bar in bathtub we were three in the suite and everyday we had to ask for extra linen. Only two glasses and cups and only coffee for two. We tried to tell the cleaning lady but she spoke no English.
Welcoming & helpful staff after midnight got us and our car stowed away, fed at local good food place(their recommendation! and great) and despite having to go back and forth to car for various issues were always polite and helpful.
Having to leave.
King, the head valet guy was great. The front desk staff were very good.
The concierge couldn't stop talking about himself (it was literally 1/2 an hour before we could get in a word) and talked us out of a tour we wanted to book and into a tour he suggested (and got a booking fee for) which was terrible. The bathroom was tiny and very rundown. It had zero ventilation so it got terribly hot and steamy. Our sink backed up the 1st night. The light by the closet and coffee/fridge area wasn't working. Beds were very loud and not comfortable.
The place was beautiful & close to everything. Room was big and clean.
Hallways & elevators were tight and often close to other rooms.
Nice property close to the French Quarters and the river.
When I asked for a one hour extension for checking out (i.e. leaving my room at 12 noon instead of 11 am) I was told I would have to pay $25.00. I think this is very cheap on the part of management after a five night stay!
loved the charm of the old converted warehouse, very unique . Easy walk to the hustle of the French quarter without the noise. Great location
The staff was very nice and welcoming, especially Eddie, the concierge. The decor, the cleanliness, and the environment WONDERFUL! Our room and bathroom, it was inviting and very comfortable, nothing is more enticing than goose down! We will be returning in just a few short months!
The shower head was brutal, too rough on the face and other softer areas. Our room was a little on the small size, but we only showered and slept there so these are minor hiccups.
Nice hotel with a great location. Staff was very nice and helpful
free cookies on the entrance desk architecture of the building friendly staff only 5 minutes walking distance to the french quarter
They charged us for a late check out
We truly enjoyed our stay at the comfort inn and suites. Bryan at the front desk bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. That meant so much to us. Eddie the concierge is truly an asset to your establishment. I have never met anyone so personable and friendly. He booked all of the tours we chose to do. Very upbeat and funny.
There wasnt anything I didnt like. I would highly recommend the country inn to anyone I know traveling to new orleans. More importantly we would definitely stay at the country inn again. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Your staff is wonderful.
Great location easy access for all sightseeing
Nothing to dislike.
Proximity to Freanch Quarter
Room was not free...:)
When we first got to the hotel the staff was very helpful and welcoming. The concierge was very helpful in letting us know what time we needed to be ready for our excursions. The valets were really great with arranging cabs, helping with luggage and just to chat with while you waited. Everyone was very personable! The hotel is in a nice quiet location but still close to everything. Especially our two favorite restaurants, Mother's and Ruby Slipper. Our room was clean, comfy and quiet. The price to book wasn't over inflated like some other hotels in the area. Couldn't ask for much more in a hotel stay. We visit NOLA often and we will be booking again with this hotel in the future!
Nice historic building. Close to French Quarter restaurants & bars.Short walk to trolley cars. Not right in the party zone, so not much late night noise for an inner city hotel. Good breakfast
bar was clearly understaffed on our first night. Ended up walking out.
Great hotel fantastic location great breakfast very helpful staff great concierge service a big thanks to Eddie and Blake definitely recommend and will be back. You will certainly enjoy this hotel. Free wifi is great. This hotel is a little gem
The location was perfect; in walking distance to River Walk, The Quarter, Bourbon Street, great restaurants in every price range and our personal destination. Breakfast was very good and the kitchen and front desk staff were very pleasant. The freshly baked cookies at the front desk were additive. My favorite was the oatmeal raisin.
The internet pictures of the room and pool size were deceiving. I needed a roll-a-way bed in the king size room. I couldn't see where it would fit and thought my budget was going to be blown for a 7 night stay, if we had to go to a two double bed room. Fortunately, housekeeping came in and nested some furniture and made it work. I couldn't get a handle on the times when housekeeping came into clean the room. Our room only got cleaned thoroughly twice that week; though,we were able to get clean towels daily. This was probably due to our chaotic convention schedule that had us out before 8 a.m. and often out until 1 a.m., so midday naps were necessary. We'll have to communicate to the head of housekeeping directly next time we stay there and are attending conventions.
What a great vacation for Southern Decadence ! our conceirge Blake was very nice and informative, Jamal was very polite and professional , the airconditoning was the high light of the hotel, it was so refreshing to feel the coolness after being out in the heat. The room was very nicely decorated with the old and new look. Your hotel is much nicer in person than your photos on line. Thank You Country Inn and Suites by Carlson for making our trip a better one. Albert San Jose , CA
Friendly and helpful staff. Location close to the French Quarters.
The room was rather small.
Excellent staff, room was great for 4 adults and 2 children. Breakfast was good and free - so we could eat and spend our money in the French Quarter. A very friendly hotel and great place to stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to New Orleans.
I called the hotel at 1:00PM and told them I was arriving early (around 2:00PM). I was told I could check in so we arrived at the hotel around 2:00PM. I was then told that my queen suite was not ready and wouldn't be until after 3:00PM. I told the front desk that was why I had called earlier. They said the queen suites were usually later check in. So my family drove around and went to a graveyard. We went back to the hotel around 3:15PM and we were told the room still wasn't ready. They then checked another queen suite and that was ready. So instead of being on the 5th floor, we were on the 3rd floor. Also - Construction in front of hotel that made you cross the street. Not the hotel's fault but the city should have a safer way to cross or walk the street/sidewalk.
The building was beautiful and a great location
No resturant on site, pool is small and no airport transfer options. Disappointed
