Short walk to the subway
Vending machine didn't work on my floor
Comfortable bed, shower and room. Reasonable breakfast. Subway station two blocks away takes you to Manhattan in 10 minutes or even less. Great value for money, as the same category hotel in Manhattan would cost double price.
VERY unfriendly staff. Room without a safe.
They honored my request..the place was clean the room had all I needed..
I did not find anything
Spacious and clean rooms, full hot breakfast and closeness to subway.
Free wifi, continental breakfast .
Whirlpool didn't work, phones didn't work, shower was messed up, and no snack vending machines. Trash near the outside of hotel and had to park a block away.
The hotel was great for the price and was among some great restaurants.
The lobby smelled when you walked in and the guy I spoke to on the phone asking if I could pay cash if I wanted was really rude and I bathroom had no heat. Even when we turned the heater on to the max in the room there was no heat in the bathroom. We even turned on the heat lamp that was there and that didn't even work. It got so bad at night that we just threw towels on the floor for us to walk on because the tiles were ice and we used it has a fridge to keep our food cold it was that bad
Free breakfast and location
No parking available for guest had to pay for parking. We came from out of town and got there before 3 pm could not Check in until that time exactly, and when we did get into the room...it had not been cleaned
No issues from start to finish
Very comfortable beds and a spacious room. Clean, quiet and good wifi. Nothing wrong at all. Very correct.
Breakfast is very basic.
They gave our King size Whirlpool Suite to someone else even though Booking.com confirmed our booking was never cancelled so they ended up downgrading our room to a King suite without Whirlpool...BIG Deal since having a whirlpool was the whole romantic reason why we booked the room! Then on top of our King size Whirlpool room being given away our door key to the downgraded room they gave us didn't work so we were waiting in the hall for about 45 mins for them to fix the lock. Tired...Eventually we got inside the room however we were warned someone has to stay inside the room or it can't be open without going to the front desk due to a internal issue with the door. Smh!! It never got fixed properly and me & my friend and I couldnt leave together without being locked out since they never fully fixed the door. Honestly the whole experience was horribly inconvenient!
Great Location near the subway. Clean rooms with comfy beds. Good size with tea and coffee making in rooms. Good sized rooms.
Staff very rude and didn't explain automatic payment . No customer service skills. Very disappointing. Shame as great hotel in good location but left with bad impression due to staff on reception. Visitors are your business treat them with respect. Wifi poor in room on 6th floor. Ok in breakfast room.
Bed was comfortabl.
The towels were not clean they had spots on them.
I had a big comfortable room with good city view. Very near subway and easy to get into town.
Some of the staff were very helpful which made up for the ones who were not.
Bed was comfortable even though no fitted sheet
When I got there I had reserved a room with a whirlpool and they said they didn't have any left when I had already made the reservations ended up paying more for a room with less emenities. When turned the bathroom light and fan on a while bunch of clumps of dust came down there was no fitted sheet on the bed it was just a regular sheet laying across it and smelled moldy.
We came to New York to visit family. The hotel was conveinent to where they lived. The subway was within a short walking distance. The hotel was kept clean, the out side was what one would expect for a hotel in the city, but it would be difficult to keep that area completely free of litter. The staff was great and friendly. All in all we had a great time and would stay there again.
Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious(donuts, bagels, Belgian waffles, cereal, yogurt, juice, etc). Establishment was spotless. Staff was courteous.
$50 deposit not mentioned when booking a room
Very close to downtown (1 subway stop away). Nice and clean room Good service for the given price
I booked a non smoking room but our room smelled just like cigarette smoke.
Room was very clean and proprerly maintained.
Lobby looked messy at times
Location to the city was the best thing. Within about 10 min we were in times square. Also I really liked how soft the beds were.
I didn't like the size of the room. I honestly thought they would have been bigger. I also didn't like that some of the linens were dirty. That was not very appealing.
Rooms are very comfortable. The hotel is two blocks fro queensboro metro station.
The lobby staff should be more polite.
Offered a big selection of breakfast food. Bed and pillows to die for. Good views.
breakfast food was bland.
I felt safe in the hotel
Breakfast room crowded and not refilled fast enough. Reception reluctant to change the credit card at check out. This cost me more. Taxi service they called for me ripped me off.
It was cheap ($141)
I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and loved it. Tonight, not so much. We checked in late, 230am and with the only three lights available in the room (316) it's very dark--dim light bulbs, so you can't see the filth. The towels and sheets are NOT white, they are yellowish, the curtains haven't been washed since they opened. And this is all justs the beginning. I did speak with the front desk clerk, he provided a different room--411, while it smelled fresher, 411 it was the same. Except part of the curtain was actually falling down, so we stayed put.
Location is brilliant when you don't want to spend too much on accommodation in New York. Coin laundry just a block away was very convenient so did the large load of family laundry. Also 24hr petrol station next to the hotel sells food and other things.
Although the breakfast was included, you get sick of same menu for five mornings. Staff weren't friendly compared to other places we have stayed.
