Pretty expensive with limited amenities
Excellent bed and location
We suggest asking for a room opposit Broad St. to have lower noice level.
The Value for the Price, for such a Centrally located property. Great courtesy van service.
The only bad thing was the area, very sketchy area. We wouldn't venture out at night
The staff was very friendly and helpful, clean and quiet hotel.
The location was perfect for dining and activities.
Restaurant or cafe could use an upgrade in their menu, Not a lot of choices to chose from.
Great location, Nice rooms clean.Great staff.
The bar closes too early.
The room decor. Location.
Mothing negitive to say.
Clean and convient.
Menu a bit limited in cafe, and the car parking was expensive and poorly signed into hotel - you have to carry luggage up one flight of stairs
Nice room, easy to find hotel and staff excellent
We needed to take the Shuttle to Penn Station at 5AM because we need to be at JFK by 7AM and the shuttle was not there (we waited until 5:10) so we had to walk with the three suitcases and take a cab to New York Penn Station. Extra expense!
The location is not so nice (street) but is VERY convinient because is a walking distance from Newark Penn Station. Everything else, excellent!
We couldn't connect to the wifi from our room.
The location was less than a 2 minute walk. There is a Joe's Crab Shack right next to the hotel. Had a great time.
At first, I didn't like that there was no vending machines. But then I realized how much more classier it was to have the 24 hour "market." Even though I went at 2am, the staff at the front desk was wide awake and friendly.
I drove three hours to get to Newark. My boyfriend and I are huge Bruins fans. We went to see Bruins vs Devils. Seeing the hotel right next to the prudential center was amazing. As we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly as well as funny. We felt welcomed even in our Bruins clothes. Everywhere we stay, my boyfriend and I fight to see who gets to put the hotel room key and see the room first. Last time was my birthday, so unfortunately he won. I stood on my tip toes as he opened the door. I already fell in love with the flowers that were right there. The bathroom was beautiful and the room was so clean and modern. The first thing that came from my mouth was "this is the best room we've ever stayed in." The staff definitely succeeded at winning me over. Good job.
The helpfulness and courtesy of reception
The service is bad. When I asked about the charge of long distance call, one of the front desk told me is free. But when I checked out, another front desk said is was charged.
The location is great. Walk to the penn station only about five minutes.
Just a poor location to me. Even though it's directly behind the Prudential Center, the area itself doesn't seem safe to me.
Staff was great and helpful and the room was excellent. The food at the Bistro was great as well.
Better parking plan. Could not get to parking garage when NJ Devils game ended the same time as we were returning. Waited almost an hour to park.
The bed was extremely comfortable.
Concierge that checked us into our room was awkward and had to call over a manager to allow him to check us in. It made us feel like they were over-booked and had to make an exception to let us into a room that was already paid for.
Bed was comfortable and the room was immaculately maintained. Bathroom was well taken care of. Bar staff was friendly and even gave us a wine key to open a celebratory bottle of wine in our room.
Was not sure what to expect in the middle of Newark, but this hotel was lovely, especially considering the rate we paid for a one night stay. Would absolutely stay again.
Not only do you have to pay extra for the parking, but it's not attached to the hotel, and it's unclear where to go. We had to park on the roof of the garage adjacent to the hotel, not under a roof. And then walk around the block to the hotel. I think it was only $20 for parking which isn't bad, but it was still a pain.
It's right behind the Prudential Center, where you can go to see tons of sporting events and concerts. Staff was friendly, room was great, esp. the artwork!
Having to pay for parking.
The closeness to the prudential center was ideal!!!
Their shuttle was not working, so a relatively short drive to the airport turned into a 25 minute drive.
Limited dining, no room service, slow free wi-fi
room size, cleanliness
Our first morning we had to go out for breakfast as the Bistro did not have bacon! The staff were very apologetic and offered us breakfast on our second morning at their expense and yes, they would have bacon! The service and food was excellent and this has not put us off returning on our next trip to NY.
