Score from 52 reviews Excellent
Nice, upgraded interiors; quick, easy check-out, clean bathroom. Very nice reception area. Altogether, a relatively "no-frills" good value in Portland. Walk to the Convention center.
Sink had large crack in it, air conditioner/heater was extremely noisy (why not update to quieter, more energy-efficient models?), and lighter wall color with better light in toilet/shower area would make it a lot more pleasant. (Small, cramped & unnecessarily dark, especially in the shower, though it was VERY clean).
Staff and bar staff were great! Close enough to walk to Burnside Brewery.
Not too much around, but I still went exploring.
Everything was great. The staff was especially friendly and accommodating.
Having to pay to park
My room was over the garage door, so I heard it open and shut all the time.
Thought we were going to be downtown...we were not , info on location not clear, had to take a cab to go to eat, was not happy
Friendly staff and extremely accommodating
I knew nothing of Portland when I booked a Hotel so the "downtown" in the name we thought meant just that "Downtown". The facility was fine but it was a bit of a hike to actually get "downtown". Transit was fine and the cost of a cab not bad BUT would have much preferred to stay at the Marriott that was actually "Downtown".
The hotel room had many ants crawling around.
Located 5 min from convention centre. Small hotel so not busy. Friendly and helpful staff. They forgot to service room none day and gave us free breakfast to make up for it. Charley's restaurant is excellent and good value.
Expensive. Room and esp bathroom relatively basic for the price that we paid. Parking also not cheap.
Breakfast buffet very good quality with top notch servers and speed for busy morning travelers. Good and attentive desk and valet staff.
Window installed AC are always a bit noisy and disruptive when sleeping, but they are common in refurbished older hotels, a necessary nuisance.
The desk staff were knowledgeable and friendly - lots of great recommendations for restaurants and sights to see. The shuttle was made available to take us where we wanted to go.
It was a little farther away from the center city than we expected, but that's hardly their fault!
Wish we would have stayed here first!
Parking was not available overnight without an additional fee
Staff did a great job - all members. We had a noise complaint (kinds in hall) that was very quickly solved.
There was a slight "off" smell, think it was something on the room carpet. I did not notice it only my wife did.
Between Edward on front desk, Matthew on front door and Island who greeted me for breakfast each morning I had a terrific stay. The hotel is removed enough from the bustle but right near MAX light rail. Would stay again!
Handy location for the Convention Center and MAX light rail to the airport, downtown and Amtrak rail station. We had a room looking onto a side street. Room was very quiet apart from the quite loud air con unit.
Rooms quite expensive for what they are.
Very nice staff Close to the convention centre
Fridge extremely noisy There was always something missing or badly made after cleaning the room.
Driver on the second day, especially was wonderful! Wait Staff in restaurant too! Bell person was really good. We got a good recommendation from a woman at the front desk, who told us about a downtown free walking tour
A little far from the center of town.
The rooms were clean, the staff was complimentary and very helpful.
The wi-fi was a little slow.
staff were exceptional. They told us where to park as we did not want to pay for vallet parking. We got a couple of free breakfasts because we could not get wifi to work. They were willing to get free shuttle to take us to tram that was outside of range. They were just excelent.
could not get wifi to work and no steam room.
Breakfast is amazing, but you have to wait sometimes for the lady who prepares the omelettes, pancakes, etc..She is hiding in the kitchen..
Friendly staff, good house-keeping, excellent gym and swimming pool.
The convenience of the location..) it is across the street from the seminar location. And -the free and delicious cookies in the afternoon are lovely!
So convenient to moda ctr and bus system
Would like to have had more access to the shuttle. Was given bad directions and misinformation that ended up costing me a lot of money.
