We were traveling to the Irvine area to attend my sister's funeral. When we arrived, Ron at the desk allowed us to check in before the usual time to accommodate our schedule. When we checked out the next morning, Denise at the desk was very courteous and sympathetic. Suffice it to say that it was a very sad trip for us but Denise and Ron made it easier to endure. Both are outstanding "people persons" and Marriott should consider itself fortunate to have these individuals as employees. With my "senior eyes" (and partly my fault because I wasn't wearing my glasses), I couldn't read the the $4.00 price on the bottle of water in the room, and silly me, I thought it was complimentary. Four bucks is a bit pricey for water, but it wasn't a big deal and at least it was very tasty water!

Very friendly and efficient staff. Nice pool area. Clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. This is an ideal location for visiting the sights and beaches of the surrounding areas.

Nice new remodeled lobby area. Wish the lobby area-styling carried through to the rooms. They are still in the 90s, still they are clean and comfortable but a decorations are a little tired.
