There's a subway stop on the corner, though the hotel is within a short walk to Rockefeller Center. Big room for Manhattan, largest one I've stayed in that wasn't a suite or at an upscale hotel.
I had not a single complaint.
Brilliant all-round! Everything was top class.
Size and comfort of the room Adjacency to subway Walking distance to sites
Location, location, location. Friendly staff. Close to subway. Very clean.
No bar or restaurant.
We arrived early morning and the staff immediately look for a room that was cleaned so that we could move in. We asked for a sofa bed and she immediately looked for one and found one. We were able to move right into a room. The concierge was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable and helpful that we were able to get around so much easier.
The location was excellent, staff was helpful and friendly, comfortable beds, and clean rooms. The breakfast was better than expected!
Our bathroom didn't have a towel rack outside of the shower. Instead, the extra towels were set on top of our toilet.
Staff was kind and always smiling.
Staff consistently helpful and friendly. I especially liked Wilfredo, the bell-hop/doorman. In spite of the minor annoyances, the facilities are great and I'd stay there again. I especially loved the large 12th floor lobby, bright and spacious. And our room had lots of light and a big view of New York.
Bed felt like it needed a new mattress. Worn down and lumpy on the side by the bathroom, and too soft. Gave me back aches. We moved rooms though and the bed in that room was fine. They are very acccommodating. Most important though every time I used the shampoo or lotion I felt annoyed. I think it was because the openings are too small that you have to work really hard to get anything out from the tubes. Also, the tubes are opaque, not clear, so you can't see if anything is left in them.
This is a nice hotel choice with a convenient location right opposite the subway, plus it's located close to a lot of what you want to see anyway. They have a really nice lounge area too that comes in handy when you check out at noon but don't leave till 7pm! Everything was clean, nice sized room, no weird extra charges everything as we expected. I highly recommend it
The staff are very helpful and the location was ideal for us
The only downside was that there was no bar in the hotel, which was a surprise
The first night was much more expensive than the second (100$ more)
Walking distance to Times Square and Rockefeller Square. Steps away from subway stop.
Had a little trouble with the temperature in room. Heater was either too hot or too cold.
Bright room (with great room darkening shades) that was a good size for the city. Service was attentive and fast. Close to St Pats, Rockefeller Ctr and Central Park. Easy to get downtown (Penn St, WTC, the Village) on the E with an entrance right on the block. We also found good restaurants nearby for breakfast and dinner.
Location, room size, maid service was excellent
queuing for breakfast, was sometimes to long but you could see the staff were trying very hard put things right,
location, concierge, baggage storage guys, all very accommodating and extremely pleasant. The lady that cleaned my room, I believe her name was Maria West? was outstanding!!
shower curtain smelled so moldy It made me sort of sick. Also the ice machine on the 26th floor never worked during my stay, I told the front desk but they told me to go to another floor
Superb views from Corner Room. Location.
The doorman and concierge were excellent and very attentive to our needs. We were traveling with elderly mother.
There was no restaurant available in hotel for super and I was surprised there wasn't any restrooms in lobby or ground floor. The only available was on 12th floor or your room.
Great location. Spacious room. Nice bedding. Convenient desk.
Location was very good.
Overall, very average hotel, with decent facilities and no more. OK if you are in town for business IR a short stay, bit not the kind of hotel you want to spend your NYC dean vacation in
Air conditioning No breakfast
Big room Clean Friendly stAff
Free wifi was a little slow
The door man is very helpful! Hotel location is convenient and subway is so close to the hotel. Room is spacious.
Property is getting old...
This is a very nice hotel, especially in NYC. It is convenient to a variety of restaurants, Central Park, and actually not that far from the Theater District. For me, I am a cancer patient at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, which is connected to the hotel. I always stay here when I have to have tests taken periodically. The convenience of walking next door for the tests makes a big difference.
Wifi would kick out periodically. Other than that it's just fine.
The location is great, near the subway. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We had a great view of the city and our room was so comfortable. I would totally recommend anyone to hit up this hotel for business or pleasure.
You can't hear the city, however, you may be able to hear your neighbor next door. They give you little ear plugs if you need them. We didn't have an issue however.
