The room keepers, folks that cleaned and maintained our rooms. These staff members went above and beyond to help out with anything and everything they could. Very kind, courteous and delightful staff.
We were initially given a handicap room that did not include a tub. We were given the idea of a room with a bathtub; we have a young child who requires one. The hastle that ensued as a result of this oversight was costly and made the trip less than. We missed out on a site due to packing up the room to be moved elsewhere. Lost perishable items just purchased the evening prior.
Very nice style to the room.
Drafty windows and parking not on premises as described.
The room design and layout.
The baby noise from next door

Proximity to everything
Had to ask staff to make up bed and often ask for some basic comforta
Large room and even though overlooking busy busy 8th Avenue noise was no.issue and didn't have to use free earplugs. Great location for sights.
Very busy lobby
I like the location of the hotel
I would like longer hours of the cafe on the 12th floor. There is no room service or dinner menu in the hotel if you don't want to order out.
Hotel and staff great, rooms good size, great shower, lovely decor. Facing a great Irish bar nialls on 52
the view from the room of 53rd street and 3rd avenue. comfortable and modern. central, easy location for all sights.
was cold without heating on but too noisy to sleep with it on.
The room was very large, well equipped and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the price was reasonable for a hotel in Manhattan.
Had a place to have breakfast but it would have been nice if it was open longer.
location, room size and breakfast
Not that you need it in midtown, but be advised that there is no breakfast or hotel bar either, just an in-house Starbucks with limited hours. On the other hand, there is a 24 hour pharmacy / grocery next door and plenty of food/drink within a 1-block radius. Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms, very helpful staff. Would stay here again.
There's a subway stop on the corner, though the hotel is within a short walk to Rockefeller Center. Big room for Manhattan, largest one I've stayed in that wasn't a suite or at an upscale hotel.
I had not a single complaint.
Brilliant all-round! Everything was top class.
Size and comfort of the room Adjacency to subway Walking distance to sites
Location, location, location. Friendly staff. Close to subway. Very clean.
No bar or restaurant.
We arrived early morning and the staff immediately look for a room that was cleaned so that we could move in. We asked for a sofa bed and she immediately looked for one and found one. We were able to move right into a room. The concierge was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable and helpful that we were able to get around so much easier.
The location was excellent, staff was helpful and friendly, comfortable beds, and clean rooms. The breakfast was better than expected!
Our bathroom didn't have a towel rack outside of the shower. Instead, the extra towels were set on top of our toilet.
Staff was kind and always smiling.
Staff consistently helpful and friendly. I especially liked Wilfredo, the bell-hop/doorman. In spite of the minor annoyances, the facilities are great and I'd stay there again. I especially loved the large 12th floor lobby, bright and spacious. And our room had lots of light and a big view of New York.
Bed felt like it needed a new mattress. Worn down and lumpy on the side by the bathroom, and too soft. Gave me back aches. We moved rooms though and the bed in that room was fine. They are very acccommodating. Most important though every time I used the shampoo or lotion I felt annoyed. I think it was because the openings are too small that you have to work really hard to get anything out from the tubes. Also, the tubes are opaque, not clear, so you can't see if anything is left in them.
This is a nice hotel choice with a convenient location right opposite the subway, plus it's located close to a lot of what you want to see anyway. They have a really nice lounge area too that comes in handy when you check out at noon but don't leave till 7pm! Everything was clean, nice sized room, no weird extra charges everything as we expected. I highly recommend it
The staff are very helpful and the location was ideal for us
The only downside was that there was no bar in the hotel, which was a surprise
The first night was much more expensive than the second (100$ more)
Walking distance to Times Square and Rockefeller Square. Steps away from subway stop.
Had a little trouble with the temperature in room. Heater was either too hot or too cold.
