everything was great
The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was also within walking distance to my meeting place.
The room was very small and there was a lot of street noise. The bed was not very comfortable. There was a refrigerator but no microwave in the room.
LOCATION QUICK TO TAKE CARE OF U AT THE DESK
The bed was very comfortable and the room size was average.
Limited number of television channels, which, all were blurring and no movies to rent.
This hotel is directly situated in downtown Oakland. We stayed here for a concert at the Fox Theater, and it was great to be able to walk from the hotel and back. Close to other neighborhoods too.
Parking in DT Oakland is expensive. There's valet available at the hotel and several parking garages in the surrounding area - but be prepared to shell out $24 or more for overnight.
Location was good, close to the bart station. Room was comfy, clean and quiet.
Not many options for food in the evening close by, and the room with snacks was all junk food. Would be nice if the bistro was open for later night dinner or lounge snacks.
We primarily picked the Courtyard because of its proximity to the Paramount Theater and price. We were very pleasantly surprised with the size of the room, how clean it was and overall value for what we paid.
Valet took a little long when initially checking in.
Great location, great for the price, friendly and helpful staff.
It was downtown oakland
Great location - short walk to Bart to Jack London's for the ferry. Hotel staff, from the front desk to the guys/gals in the "Bistro" couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. The super nice maid who freshened our room each day noticed that we had several bottles of wine on the table and left us some wine glasses and candy! And the morning complimentary breakfast was a real break from the typical breakfast buffet. We were able to choose from the Bistro menu (and the food was really tasty!). I'd stay again in a heartbeat!
The hotel is clean and the location of the hotel is near a lot of Chinese grocery store and Chinese restaurants! (The San Dong restaurant is delicious!) Also, on Friday morning, there is the farmer's market where a lot of groceries and fruits were on sale. We bought a lot of fresh fruits to eat at the hotel. Smart and Final is also nearby (walking distance). Valet parking is conveniently located in front of this hotel. Marriott self parking is also not that far away. Lots of people walk around during the day, so it is a relatively safe area. I think this area is way better than the hotel locations near the airport.
The mattress was too soft. The breakfast menu at the hotel didn't have much variety. Next time I wouldn't add the $10 breakfast voucher if I stay at this hotel again.
Very great location. Easily accessible to public transit - right at the front/side door. Nice little pool in the heart of a city. Very great look and feel - safe, clean and excellent.
Having to wait to check in - no early check in was available despite several request.
The hotel is very clear, well maintained and convenient to downtown Oakland.
Lack of parking.
The lack of services. Don't have a restaurante and room service
You must valet park.
The hotel location is really good. The rooms are vey clean and comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They only offer valet parking for $24 per day, but the service was great and quick, which didn't take to wait more than 5 minutes each time. Room has free wi-fi and the signal was strong.
The breakfast is a little be expensive and too the serve hour is too short.
Friendly helpful staff. Bistro food and beverage was excellent. Housekeeping was very good. Our stay was terrific!
In room coffee was bad.
Broken elevator left all guests waiting.
very close to the BART
smelled a bit off when we entered dicey neighborhood very nearby
Ammenities and cleanliness.
The price of overnight parking.
2 blocks from BART, across the street yet lightyears from Chinatown, helpful staff, clean clean clean, great location
broken elevator (1), no Jacuzzi, petty stuff
Access to San Francisco and Berkerlay by car was easy and convenient. Cleanliness of the 1st floor was good and microwave in Kiosk space was convenient.
No refrigerator and no security box in our room.
The room was clean and comfortable. I felt good and sefe inside
The hotel doen't have free parking. Intsted if offer valet parking in the hotel's lot, which costs 25$/day. I foudn that extremely expensive and I am not big fan of valet parking either.
I liked the decor. Some of the staff was friendly.
Elevator didn't work. People were stuck in it. Fire alarm kept going off. No one vacuumed my room. There were clumps of hair on the floor from the last guests. Even after mentioning it, they were STILL there on the floor. Disappointed. Very disappointed.
