Location and proximity to restaurants
The convenience and ease of check-in. The staff members were exceptionally friendly. It was nice having an interesting scene in the somewhat hip restaurant adjoining --- although having guest "priority" would gave been nice since there was usually a wait.
There was no mirror in the bedroom, only in the bathroom which made it hard to dress when the other person had the bathroom door closed. The full-length mirror should be on outside of door. Would have preferred real mugs for the coffee maker in lieu of paper ones. First place we've stayed in a long time that did not have an in-room safe. Valet parking has gotten exhorbitant downtown.
Room was clean and comfortable
close to downtown, totally walkable. Staff was friendly and suggested some great places for us to eat. Close to TriMet if arriving by plane.
beds were a bit hard. Parking very expensive. Would recommend taking TriMet from airport and avoid the cost.
All was fine
This was in a great location, we could walk to everything. The room was clean and I enjoyed the unique artwork.
Cost of valet parking overnight was high.
Clean and Accesible
Location, the original, and staff.
That there was no pool or hot tub. Also the fact that there was no bath tub was very disappointing.
The location is very central, the staff efficient and friendly, my room was very clean, had plenty of towels, very comfortable bed and pillows, good desk and tv and free wi-fi. For $24, the Blue Star shuttle will take you round trip from airport to hotel.
Very satisfied with every aspect of the Courtyard Marriott. Clean, convenient, comfortable with all of our needs met. Each encounter with staff was pleasant and efficient. Refrigerator, coffee, iron and internet in room were all very much appreciated. Liked having the little market in the lobby where we could grab a couple of beers after our day at the beach and the location just couldn't be better. Downtown hotels are pricey and I feel I got the best value for my money here without sacrificing any quality or service, thank you.
Front desk staff very accomodating and friendly and eager to rectify problems. Food in adjoining restaurant was very good. Friendly and fast (although expensive) valet service.
Paper-thin walls--we heard the neighbours door open and slam all night and heard music from the other side neighbours for much of the night (first night only however).
Hotel was clean and people was ffriendly
Our room didn't have a view. It's was between too building's just a little light, I don't think it's worth $240. Pillows were horrible too. We were expected a better then what we had.
Clean, modern hotel tower in downtown Portland. Nice diner-type restaurant on first floor. Excellent location for walking to Powell's, the Rack, etc. Great valet staff.
Hotel very poorly marked. I missed the front door three times and finally parked several blocks away and walked to lobby. Front desk staff pleasant but made several annoying errors.
I felt secure, because of the room key operated guest elevators. Staff was very accommodating considering I had a special request.
Hotel staff were amazing. Would definitely book again! The Original dinerant was incredible! Walking distance to great spots!
Location and amenities
Price but was comparable
The location was ideal.
Twice I texted ahead to have my vehicle brought up, but never received a reply. My room was dark because the one narrow window was between the walls of two buildings, fifty feet or so from daylight. It felt like being in a prison, but was not discounted. Upon arrival, the front desk was unmanned and I and two other guests stood around wondering where we were supposed to go.
Bed and pillows were too firm. Glass was dirty.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay. We absolutely love the Portland area. The hotel was in a great location for exploring the city for the first but not last time!
There was construction relight across the street from our room..they did stop using backhoes by 10:00pm. It wasn't that bad but detracted from the view! Wasn't happy about the $30/day parking charge that wasn't advised when making the reservation.
Beautiful view, early check-in was no problem, spacious shower, and the Dineraunt Restaurant in the first level was outstanding.
Very friendly staff.
Had trouble each day with the card keys unfortunately.
very comfortable and friendly. restaurant was great.
there was a strong persistent foul odor in the common areas on our floor.
It was close to the different events that we attened.
The staff were ALL pleasant, helpful and competent.
